Neglegent

Hurrendous.
Worse than ever now its a digitalised service. Mistakes constantly and no care what so ever for their patients. Should be shut down immedietly for neglegence , how on earth is this service allowed to operate and "treat" patience. Especially considering theitmr long history of neglegence

Great Doctors Let Down By Terrible Administration

I was discharged from an out of area hospital on a Tuesday evening following surgery to my spine. I left hospital with a printed copy of my discharge note and a very limited supply of medication.

My wife took a copy of my discharge paperwork to Park first thing Wednesday morning and requested a prescription for my essential pain relief as soon as possible. My wife specified which medication and how much we would need.

By midday Thursday I called to get an update. The receptionist had photocopied the paperwork and it was now on its way to the "scanning team". Most modern photocopiers are also able to scan (with OCR optical character recognition) and it would have more sense for the receptionist to have scanned my paperwork. I was told that it would be "chased up"!

Mid Friday morning I received a call from the pharmacist and was asked what medication was it that I needed. With some reluctance a prescription was agreed. If I had received this on Wednesday as originally expected then I would have been able to use the great service pharmacy2u. Unfortunately I had to make use of one of the local pharmacies with their long queues and slow service.

I did ask the pharmacist what I could have done to have reduced the delay - she had no answer other than that is how their systems work. I make a few suggestions for improvement but this fell on closed ears.
