APPALLING experience with this company

I had an APPALLING experience with this company. They sold me an expensive damp treatment that wasn't right for my property and when I complained, they ignored me. No phone calls, no inspection of my home, no letters, nothing. Which is in breach of their own customer charter, which states they have a complaint handling procedure.
As they're a member of Fairtrades I contacted them to intervene in my behalf. They did so, but their powers are very limited. Even though they told me that this company had previously had their Fairtrades membership suspended due to customer complaints, they'd been allowed back again after a while.
The company replied to me in writing after Fairtrades forced them to, but their letters accused me of lying and offered no apology or offer to put right their faulty work, in spite of giving me a Thirty Year Guarantee with it - not worth the paper it was written on.
They also refused to tell me who their Public Liability insurance was with, so I couldn't make a claim on that. Fairtrades were powerless to force them to provide this information.
They were quick enough to sell me the treatment, do the work, and bank my money. Yet, when things were not right, they ignored me in spite of previously insisting that they'd always respond to put things right.

Very upsetting, especially as I am ill (long term), live on a low income, and was left £700 out of pocket. I've never been able to afford to get any one else in to do the work, so the house continues to have a damp problem several years later.

Avoid this company or regret it !!!!
