Worst Customer Service Ever!!!!

I am only picking 1 star because I can't pick no stars. I ordered a steam deck and didn't receive it. Other than UPS tracking showing it delivered, there was no photo evidence or signature nor did UPS deliver to our house on the day in question. Customer Service was useless telling me basically, so sorry for your luck. Purchase from them at your own risk.

Do not use

I have all the COD games on disc with valid codes. But I can't play them because of Steam. Games I have played in the past disappear from my account, I log on only to wait 15mins for an update. I used to play these games fine from my disc, but now I can't. All I want is to play the games I paid legally for, but Steam has other ideas. Trying to get in touch with them is like asking for an audience with the Pope, they only refer you to the community. They take no accountably or responsibility for their site. It's a total scam

Don't order a anything physical from steam.

I ordered a steam deck, it said estimated delivery 3-5 working days. I was surprised as I knew it had to come from the Netherlands to the UK, surely that would take longer.
When you enquire with steam it's ACTUALLY an estimated 3-5 days from when the package is picked up from the courier. My tracking from the actual courier company (GSL) shows that on the 1/12/25 that data has been entered for the package but it has not actually been passed to the courier. The tracking on the steam Website says something totally conflicting. It says it has been packed, picked up by courier and shipped. The online help from steam have been incredibly unhelpful. For such a massive company I would expect better tracking and more honesty. Their website is misleading. Why can a company like temu give me in depth tracking of where my parcel is including airport, departures, customs etc but Steam cannot tell me ANYTHING accurately?

I had a problem with hardware made by Valve. Their support provided fast, reliable help to solve my issue. Additionally, they offered to fix broken parts of the device free of charge (shipping fee excluded).

Spent an hour trying to set up Steam…

Spent an hour trying to set up Steam and use the Instant Gaming game, Steam said my computer isn't on, can't download and there's no way to try again, no way to get help. I'll take an old disk please no more BS. Thanks for the NO SUPPORT from both Instant Gaming and Steam.
Updated; later that day the game downloaded. Zero stars for the horrible support menus and or not having a try again load button.
3rd update; took ALL day to find the Skyrim game wouldn't play right, keys would not preform tasks such as drop,,,. I had to delete STEAM, The game, ALL files I could find and contacted my credit card company. Can't believe I wasted 10 hours trying to play a game, I'll never buy a digital anything again.

Steam Support is a joke

Steam Support is a joke. Like, seriously it doesnt even work properly. Sometimes you cant do anything and you are just stuck with opened steam support icon that cant even be closed with Alt+F4.

Steam Wallet Gifting Issue

Steam Wallet Gifting Issue – My Full Experience with shitty steam support

I bought official Steam Wallet codes from a verified seller and withdraw the balance on my account. My only intention was to use that balance to gift a specific game to a friend. Both of us are in the same country, same region, same currency. There should be no problem.

But Steam blocks the purchase completely and says I cannot use my wallet balance to gift the game. They don’t warn users before adding funds, they don’t mention this restriction on the product page, and they still show the “Gift” option and “Wallet” payment option even though the transaction will fail every time.

When I contacted Steam Support, they told me this restriction cannot be removed and that I can only use my wallet funds to buy games for myself. That makes the balance useless for the purpose I added it for. After that, they closed my support ticket without offering any real solution.

This system is misleading, confusing, and unfair to customers who add wallet money specifically to gift games.

Like dealing with automaton's "Computer says no!"

Mistakenly purchased a full aircraft DLC for DCS flight sim when I could have bought an update for this aircraft at half the price. Contacted support asking for a refund and promised to buy update in its place. Spent 2 minutes on this DLC just to check out cockpit. Support refused refund as I had used 'underlying' game for more than 2 hr even though they knew the circumstances. I thought at 1st I was dealing with AI but it transpired the 'humans' there lack any customer care, discretion or balance. This has left a very bitter taste and I can only assume they are not trusted to make their own decisions by the management or they 'get off' on the power.

anyone who rates steam negatively might be stupid.They have:

-Biggest selection of games
-Insane deals all year round, with bonus insane sales
-The best support staff ( they saved my account like a dozen times)
-Family sharing is the best thing to exist
