We bought 2 of their queen mattresses & boxsprings less that 2 years ago for & 2,199.00 each a total of $4,298.00. They are both sagging in the middle with only one person sleeping in each. What a ripoff! DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND!!! Looks like the warranty process is a pain and only good for a replacement mattress. Why would I even want another one of the same?

Still No Accountability from Stearns &…

Still No Accountability from Stearns & Foster – Luxury in Name Only

It’s now been over a week since I first reported a tear in the cover of my Stearns & Foster Estate Firm Pillow Top mattress, which is barely seven months old and has been protected by a 5″ mattress topper since day one. Despite responsible use and routine care, the cover tore, and Stearns & Foster has refused to honor their warranty or suggest any mitigation to prevent the tear from growing.

I’ve reached out repeatedly to both front-line staff and executive-office contacts; responses have been formulaic and dismissive, and my executive-level inquiries went unanswered. Their only position is that “structural support” wasn’t affected, so they won’t cover the defect.

A “luxury” mattress that fails so quickly—and a company that refuses to stand behind its own product—really undermines the value of the purchase. I hope sharing this experience helps other shoppers make an informed choice.

Extremely Disappointed

Extremely Disappointed – Poor Quality and Unhelpful Support from Stearns & Foster

I purchased a Stearns & Foster Estate mattress less than seven months ago, and I am extremely disappointed — both in the product and the company’s response to a clear quality issue.

From day one, this mattress has been fully protected with a high-quality mattress topper. Despite never being directly exposed to any wear or friction, the fabric cover on the mattress has begun to tear. I filed a warranty claim, expecting support for what is obviously a premature material failure. To my surprise, the response I received was that this issue was not something I should be filing a warranty claim for.

Even more frustrating, I asked if there was anything I could do to prevent further tearing, and the representative offered no suggestions or guidance whatsoever. The communication was cold, dismissive, and entirely unhelpful. It was clear they were more interested in avoiding responsibility than standing behind their product.

The result is that I am now stuck with a mattress — barely seven months old — with a cover that is visibly tearing and will only continue to degrade. It is unacceptable for a brand that markets itself as “luxury” to offer a product with such poor durability and then provide no support when issues arise.

This mattress is now being moved to a guest room because I no longer feel comfortable sleeping on it, and I am genuinely frustrated to have spent a significant amount of money on something that feels so cheaply made and poorly backed.

I will not purchase from Stearns & Foster again, and I strongly encourage others to consider alternative brands that not only deliver quality but also stand behind their products and treat their customers with respect. A luxury brand should offer more than a name — it should offer accountability, durability, and service. Stearns & Foster has failed in all three.

Had a problem with their exchange and…

Had a problem with their exchange and refund policies. They wanted almost $900 to upgrade to a pillow top. When I ask about return they said I would have to pay the sales tax on the return. Never heard of such a thing. Question whether it is legal. Buyer be aware.
