I saw positive reviews and flexible free cancelation policy and I decided to make reservation using the cancelation option. I reserved on the 23rd and less than 24 hours I request a full cancelation, which should have not been a problem as the website proclaim is free. I also book so called flexible reservation which allow me to cancel on the 27th and pay only for 3 day stay. Nobody respond to my emails on the 24th. Today 25th February two latinos Villo and Susana his girlfriend stalked me with poor emails asking for money. I send all the proofs but nobody read it, those two people keep stalking me until I send legal request to chase and desist harassing me. I feel mislead by the fraudulent information the website is providing. If you say is free it should be free. IF you say is available it should be available. Horrible . Treat you like you are animal, dehumanizing, humiliating and disrespectful. I do not recommend.

Staff were grumpy, common WC were extremely dirty. In the rooms beds are comfy but the air-con didn't really work and we had to open the windows hearing the noise of the people outside.

Expensive. Everything cost extra except for soap, towels, and bed linen. The rooms weren’t very well cleaned. Therewas nowhere to sit in the rooms except on the beds, and since they were bunk beds, it wasn’t very comfortable. Check-in was complicated. Nah, next time we go to Copenhagen, we'll stay somewhere else.

Very poor judgement from the service People. And not speaking danish at all huge red flags ⛔️⛔️⛔️

People just arrive at 2am in your shared room - 30 min washing / noise/ light included
Price is good - but u will pay with sleeping time and quality - 100% - good luck

First of all the things that we booked when we came to get to it they said it wasn't available to us and it's closed but there was people in it and the gym was 18+ were in nearly the whole Denmark it's 13 or 14 plus. The staff was rude. The beds where dirty and the floor was sticky

My son Ivan van der Meij has booked a room at Steel house for 3 nights via booking.com with his 3 friends one of whom is 18 and the others 17 years old. One day before their arrival he got an email stating that 17 year olds can only stay at the hotel when accompanied by parents. I understand this info was provided somewhere before as well but first of all, my son found this hotel under filter ‘hostels’ for young people. All other hotels the boys booked did not have this restriction: it is enough that one of them is 18. Second, as I understand from the hotel reservation department these situations happen more often. Is it not a good idea then to be more clear about this rule and draw customers’ attention to it?
Finally when my son and later myself called the hotel and explained the situation (day before their arrival), we were informed that there is nothing they can do and they marked next day the status of the reservation as “no show”! So full amount was charged to the credit card provided for guarantee.
I tried to explain that the boys are school graduates saving for few months for this trip and 380 euros is alot of money for them to loose and asked if some reduction on the cancellation fee could be done, but that of course nobody cared about.

A great place to stay but still misses the drapes in front og each bunk bed. It would be so easy to add This little ekstra thing to have a little privacy and add the last star to your place

Best hotel ever if you are traveling with a teenager! Very nice service and so many options and funny with bunkbeds. Close to Tivoli and restaurants.

Really this was a great place to stay in Copenhagen.

Clean, modern, good location, friendly staff, met nice people, good communal areas inside (with power points) and outside to socialise and chill. I cooked with people I hadn't met before in the kitchen and met new roommates I still keep in contact with.

Steel House gave me my room preference requested, which had an awesome view and really added to my stay.

Convenient bike rental with no fuss if I was a little over the booking time, communal lockers and lockers in the room. 3-day sheet and towel refresh.

Okay, someone stole my food and juice in the communal fridge but that's just some people, lesson learned. That day I was really looking forward to a cold drink when I arrived back after a hot day in the city, luckily there's a 7Eleven one block away. Where there's a problem there's a solution close by.

ARP HANSEN HOTEL GROUP offers great hostels overall, nice environment and clean.

Pros: Kitchen is great, sometimes throw away peoples food and don’t check labels. Cinema great. And great events.

Cons: a few people in reception with bad attitude, should be doing something else honestly. Doesn’t know anything about service or communication. Can suddenly disturb/ wake you up 00:00 for a minor issue which can be solved the day after, and do it in arrogant way. When you go up 05:00 for work.

Kitchen costs, gym costs, and swimming pool costs aswell.

Replace reception and it’s a great hostel!:) Seems like strong leadership above.

Me and a couple of friends booked a room at 'Steel House Copenhagen' a couple of months prior to our visit in Copehagen.

Upon our arrival we were denied entry to our room though we had already paid, due to the fact that three of us weren't 18, though an age requirement were no way to be found on their official website.

After a brief discussion, with a very disrespectful reception personel, who didn't speak danish and little to none english, we decided to leave, thinking we could at least get our money back and go book another hotel room.

Unfortunately, 'Steel House Copenhagen' "wasn't" able to give us our money back.

I've experienced some bad hotels with bad service before, but nothing tops 'Steel House Copenhagen.'
I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, especially not young people who come from far away.
This is simply the worst hotel experience I've ever had.

I lived there for more than a month and I can say nothing but bad things about the place. The only "good" is that there is a nice building, but everything else is disgusting. Since the men "in charge" of the kitchen that throw away everything of the fridges based on their own criteria, to the stupid penalties like closing the kitchen for everybody because ONE person forgot to CLEAN A FORK. In summary, I will never be back to steelhouse hostel.

I booked a female dorm, but when I woke up the next morning I was sleeping with men!!!
This happened to nights in row!!!
And the person and the front desk, told me to write and email and to just go, because she couldnt do anything about it!!!
I was standing there crying, feeling violated and she didnt do nothing.
Worst place ever, dont ever visit them.
I told her as a woman, and a muslim woman, privacy is alfa omega. How could that happen? She said go before I call security :'(

I had a great 2-night stay in one of the double rooms with terrace. Overall it was a great experience: the location was good, the room nice and light, the bed very comfortable, the bathroom nice and spacious and the staff very friendly and helpful. The only problem was the lack of cleanliness. Almost seemed like the cleaning had been skipped: The room wasn't very clean and there was a bag of chips beside the bed from a previous visitor. Still, my general impression is really good, especially compared to other low-budget stays in Copenhagen.

The hostel made it very clear that they rather keep your money and throw you in a 6bed shared room while we face one of the biggest pandemia in our lifetime. Thats not only irresponsible, but voluntarily contributes to the spread of virus and to an exponential number of deaths

Pay attention to the reviews. This is not a great hostel to deal with.

I got bedbugs all over and now they are all over my new apartment..
