Typical Germanic efficiency of product and service.
I received the watch within a week of getting the teaser email and subsequent order of the white faced minimalist Modesto watch. The watch arrived in suitably well designed embossed packaging. My first impression on opening the box was that of satisfaction, so often gorgeous photography can oversell a watch, but not on this occasion. More impressive was the quality of the branded quick release leather strap, nice soft leather with Sternglas etched on the metal clasp. The watch itself doesn't shout quality with its plastic body, but does reflect its price range. This is an uncomplicated watch with a strong emphasis on aesthetics, hopefully time will reveal it to be good value.

I have one of the first watches made by Sternglas
I have one of the first watches made by Sternglass. I purchased about 3 years ago. Still beautiful. Still works well. I still get compliments on it.
I thought I would try similar with a black face instead but found that on arrival, the change was not worth the cost.
But I definitely recommend Sternglas.

Great watch, great customer service
I bought my favorite watch from Sternglas (the Naos), and I absolutely love it. I've worn it a lot, and eventually it started ticking slower. I emailed Sternglas to see if they could service it, and they sent me a replacement just on my word. If I had another wrist for a watch I would buy another because of my awesome experience, and I would recommend the brand to any of my friends.

Poor quality kautschuk armband
The build, finish and feel of the Marus are of a high quality, especially for this price category. The reasons for only giving it 3-stars is because:
1. The winding rotor sounds like it's scratches the inside of the back case cover producing a annoying sound .
2. The supplied kautschuk armband is poorly finished, extremely flexible/floppy, which makes it difficult to buckle up on your wrist.
I have ordered from another supplier a higher quality kautschuk armband. This is definitely the most disappointing thing on the Marus.

Their is a gap between the rotor and the movement since the rotor needs space to move. Depending on the watch and the way it is build the rotor can produce more or less noise. We are sorry if this bothers you, but hope you got used to it. Also we are sorry that you have trouble buckling up your strap. We have new kautschuk straps in our collection, maybe these will suit you better. If you have any questions don't hestitate to reach out.
