I simply cannot express just how…

I simply cannot express just how terrible Stiga is. Like most folk we probably think of Stiga as a premium brand when it turns out they are the polar opposite. I bought one of their robot mowers having had a prior disastrous experience with an alternative Chinese brand. The first robot had to go back because it was unable to mow the advertised area. That was hard enough as they initially refused until consumer rights act was quoted to them. The ‘white glove delivery service’ is another nonsense, what it means is Stiga take half the money and give the other half to a local dealer to deliver the machine and set it up (if you insist) otherwise they deliver the machine and leave. Next comes actually using the machine. The wheels are worse than supermarket trolley wheels and unless you have a perfectly flat, perfectly dry lawn, forget about it. The slightest hill, hole, twig or dew and your lawn isn’t getting mowed. Next comes the fun of dealing with customer services, absolutely hilarious. They haven’t got a clue about any of their products and either make stuff up or just talk nonsense, that’s if you are ‘lucky’ enough to get through to one in the first place. The whole sorry Stiga experience has resulted in a £5k mower that I can use for 4 months of the year but it doesn’t actually finish mowing the lawn because even though it is advertised as being able to do a lawn twice the size in 1 charge, it can’t even handle half and doesn’t finish the cut after a charge, but starts all over again when you have to send it out again… there is only one person who knows anything about Robot mowers apparently at Stiga and he is always off and when he does give advice, it’s wrong too.. save your money and sanity and look elsewhere. Stiga have rushed to keep up with competitors and put out an awful machine and in doing so have highlighted all the company’s flaws and weaknesses which seem never ending. PS the latest ‘forced’ firmware and app update has made this awful product even worse. It doesnt recognise the different zones anymore and doesn’t save new obstacles, and just wait until you see how it overlays the satellite map view!
