Stitch has given me friends in two…
Stitch has given me friends in two states, and exposure to many events aand experiences I wouldn't have wanted to do on my own. The majority of members are very warm and friendly, and as I have been a member for ten years, I can honestly say it's a brilliant program.

Joined stitch a few months ago
Joined stitch a few months ago. Thanks to a few members Im getting additional excercise playing bocce ball twice a week and occasionally walking with a group/. Making a few new friends. Great organization.

A great community with organised fun events of interest
The first event was a bit daunting which is understandable, but after attending a few events it is much easier and you meet so many friendly and interesting people. Some of the members organise events which is great, so I would encourage anyone to give it a try😁

Reallly glad I joined.
Have met some great people and been to interesting events, most of which I never knew existed. The variety of events is fantastic. My only negative is when going to an event for the first time and you don't know anyone it is difficult to know who to approach. I am not suggesting name tags, but surely something like a small flag would make recognition easier and stop you having to approach other gathering groups.

We do send messages to hosts to raise awareness for organizers of the importance of making it easy for new members, including things like signs and welcome messages prior to the event, but naturally we can't enforce that if a particular host chooses not to do it. Stitch is a great community, for meeting new people I would never have met outside Stitch. The activities are varied and fun, organised by enthusiastic members. I have developed some special friendships as a result of joining Stitch.

Since joining Stitch 3 years ago
Since joining Stitch 3 years ago, I have met some truly wonderful people locally and further a field. I have met some people I regards as great friends. I have become a volunteer welcomer where I reach out to new members and help them feel welcomed to our activities. I recommend Stitch to anyone who is feeling lonely and not adventureous to go out on their own which is not much fun.

after paying a full yearly subscription I've been subjected to being reduced to the amount of messages you can send , there is a limitation that has not been declared on this site and it's not "UNLIMITED" it is controlled by administrators to stop you sending too many messages in 1/ or 2 day periods and requesting a "FULL REFUND"

Hi Peter, the system only places a limit on messaging when someone first joins, so we can assess whether someone is using Stitch for reasons that are consistent with our Community Guidelines, and not spamming or otherwise using messages in a way that decreases the experience of Stitch for others. If you participate in the community as an active member, you will quickly see that most members join Stitch to form real, authentic connections, not receive thousands of messages. All our members appreciate knowing that the system is there to keep them safe from potential spam or inappropriate use. Those who join for valid reasons are usually very understanding that the restrictions only occur for a limited time. Stitch has a great website that's easy to navigate. Easy to understand. The connections I have made with friends has been life altering and Stitch is 95% of socialn life. I met my long term girlfriend through Stitch and since becoming a couple we go to more events than I did before.
