After sales service is a joke

The after sales is an absolute joke. I bought a car, first day I was cleaning mould from the interior, the paint work feels like sand paper, needing a proffesional clean. It had to go back the next day as a button didn't work. The reversing camera was faulty, the rear bumper loose. They had it back in. Didn't fix anything just told me they ordered parts. I dropped the car back the following Friday, today is Monday, still no car, and I have been informed it might be ready Wednesday. No one contacts to discuss, they just assume it's ok. On the Saturday, I asked if I could swap the car, and was advised that it would cost me about 3k. Even though it was day 30, hence possibly still returnable. As it stands, I took possession of the car 32 days ago, but it has spent 7 back at vauxhall. Dan has been the only member of staff to try and speak to me, so, I would like to thank him.

Just as an update, I would like to thank Simon and Andy, once management for involved, things got booked in and looked at.

The rear bumper is still loose, but better than it was, and all other issues have been rectified. Due to the interaction I have increased the star rating from 1 to 3.

Had my car a year and it just failed…

Had my car a year and it just failed it's MOT. Mechanic said the repairs would have been this way for a long time, the suspension belt was only one of the dangerous faults and was close to falling off! All in all the MOT cost me £800! Avoid like the plague.

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY!!!

My son purchased a BMW from here in Jan 2026. He was told by the sales person, James Blair he will ensure the car would have fuel in, the road tax would be done and the car would be in a mint condition as agreed when collected. This was not the case. My son was only given petrol to last 2 miles (which had to stop and fill up himself)and the road tax was done whilst he waited. Marks from the car had to be cleaned on the day. When my son got home he realised the second key wasn't working as the battery was dead. When he called and spoke to James he was assured he would be compensated for the fuel and a battery replace would be posted out to him. Despite several calls made to James this has not happened. We were told by Scott the area manager Steve would call us, yet no call, this is the fourth time we have called and they assured us that we would receive a call back within the hour... it has been 7 weeks. It's disappointing how a dealership garage deal with customers. Their promises are false and this leaves no trust with any one of them. Think twice before you buy a car from here as they are quick to take your money, but do not keep their word on what they promise. A terrible service. I would give them 0 if I could.

Excellent service again from James

Excellent service again from James, nothing is too much trouble, very knowledgeable and efficient.
Even remembering not to use any chemicals inside the car, something l had fogotten to remind him of!!! That is customer service worth the 5 star rating.
The car is wonderful, you were right James, having such fun driving it!!!

No Stars if i could

Initial Service when buying the car was great, however car was in there repair garage 5 times in 3 months of owning the car, nightmare service team to deal with and manager (Helen) was rude and unhelpful, tried to intimidate my partner and back us into a corner, first issues came to light within 3 weeks of us owning the car, after threatening legal action and taking the case to the ombudsman we were finally offered a refund on the car as it could not be fixed, only now to see they are re-selling the Car for £500 more than the price we paid back in July, and knowing the faults this car has had - would hate to see anyone purchase this car knowing the faults the car has - Chevrolet Trax - SA63 ZDT

I couldn’t be happier

I couldn’t be happier, not only with the new car ( which I absolutely love) but also the exceptional standard of customer service received.

I have been looking for a new car for a while. Once I found the one at Stourbridge Motor House Andy arranged for, and took me out for a test drive. During which he, talking me through all the features the car has to offer.

Andy been an exceptional to work with through this process, sorting the car for collection in a really short space of time, organising all of the paperwork including the plate change for the new car.

I highly recommend this company, Andy and the team have really taken the stress out of the process. Will definitely use them in future!!

If I could do a minus score I would

If I could do a minus score I would. Car purchased 21/8 still waiting log book. After many attempts and giving benefit of the doubt to sort as of today 17/11 nearly 3 months still not received. Had car last week issued with courtesy car to sort. Received letter today from DVLA as check they issued to sort was refused. Due to using cheque dated 21/8 written for post office line through it and wrote in big letters DVLA SWANSEA. This company is just a joke. Such a same as in past 3 new cars purchased, looks like staff they have now are incompetent. Certainly don't use Scott.

Avoid/Terrible aftercare…

On purchase of my car Scott was brilliant! Unfortunately that’s where the great service ends. Intermittent engine management light on dashboard keeps coming on. Got my car booked in was told no courtesy cars available and it was a drop off and leave service, dropped car of at 10:15 and I organised via a prior phone call I would need car back at 14:30. On arrival car had not been touched since drop off (would at least thought diagnostics monitor to be plugged in). Tried to arrange another date but none was convenient for myself with them wanting car all day, was told by Holly no courtesy car available for a long time but they could offer me a van, which again is not convenient for myself with school runs and so forth. Was told by Holly I don’t know what I want her to do because there’s nothing else she could do. I asked to speak to a manager, no phone call received at end of day, so I rang myself, manager had gone home early due to personal matter they would ring first thing Monday morning (still no phone call) Last time I will use this company absolute rubbish service.

Would recommend Stourbridge Motorhouse

Just bought a new Insignia and was very pleased with the car and customer service. I would recommend that you ask for Simon who was very friendly, not pushy and none of that awkward typical sales speech that I find annoying. From start to finish he listened to my needs and didn’t continue to try and sell me “add-on’s” once I said I wasn’t interested. I part exchanged my old car and they gave me a good price which exceeded quotes from the online companies like “we will buy your car for a ridiculously low price”. The process was clear, quick and simple.

Providing that the aftercare service matches my buying experience, I will definitely be back.
