When I called Stratstone Mini Derby to ask why,they admitted they hadn't settled the px finance! Basically had forgotten. This caused my credit score to drop! Buyer beware.

Although in the end the car was not for us we just want to say that it was a really good experience. Rebecca and Emily at Stratstone Derby provided excellent customer service. They were knowledgeable, made us feel comfortable and non pressured, even when we went back to say that this time the car was not for us (minis are great, had one before). In total an enjoyable and non stressful experience. Would definitely go back. Thanks Rebecca and Emily.

Back in September I took my 2023 Mini Cooper to Stratstone Derby for a service. Being the last manual car, I was told I had good equity on my car and was offered a brand new 2025 automatic for the same finance deal. Having never driven an automatic, I went on a test drive with Tim Spencer. From that moment, Tim made me feel relaxed and offered me great advice. As they were holding their Mini Event that weekend, I decided to go ahead with a brand new 2025 automatic.
I was kept up to date throughout the whole process of my new car being built. It arrived yesterday a month earlier than planned and I cannot thank Tim Spencer enough for such a smooth process from ordering the vehicle to the handover. I would definitely recommend Stratstone Mini Derby to friends and family looking to be part of the mini adventure.

Purchased a 2025 Mini Countryman Jcw!
Paid up front before collecting,
1 No V5 couldn’t tax or use for 2 weeks!
Handover was disaster!
2 Wrong COC for completely different car.
3 No Handbooks in car apparently had been removed for another vehicle.
4 Kerbed front wheel!
5 Not cleaned Bird poo over car damaged the paint on the bonnet! Interior not done dirty with items left in car from member of staff user! 2 towing eyes left in boot unsecured and rattling about.
6 Handover was outside with sales person trying to clean panels,no gift as promised by manager for up front payment so they could meet targets one month before agreed time at point of sale,
Definitely wouldn’t recommend very poor customer service once payment was taken it was all downhill from there!!!

Absolute awful customer service from MINI in derby. Badgering me every day for months as my finance was nearing the end of its contract. As soon as I confirmed I only wanted to keep this current vehicle, the team seemed to not care at all and cut off all communication from me. Took over a week of calling up nearly every day to get my contract sorted, kept getting passed from pillar to post apparently no one within the team apart from one member is able to complete a refinance agreement and said person was never available. Shared my disappointment with multiple members of staff who quite frankly also didn’t care and were not knowledgeable about the process so couldn’t advise either way.

Chloe Douglas called me within minutes of sending enquiry via CarWow and we discussed a great deal and with what I saved, went to next level spec - no pressure from Chloe who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful about the specification - which can be complicated it you dont research carefully.
Was kept informed about the progress. Car arrived earlier than expected. Lovely handover experience and courteous follow up a few days later. I recommend both CarWow and Stratstone Mini Derby. I wish there were more Chloe's around.

amazing experience, i had hayley look after me she was very helpful knowledgeable helped me find a mini perfect for me within affordability, very happy , she was easy to get in touch with for any questions /find out what i needed to bring in ,quick handover and went through everything thoroughly, (i was nervous going from manual - automatic, but also been to other sales offices previously that were text book sales pressure ,she was not like this and was a genuinely lovely person) thankyou!

H's customer service and support from the moment of casual enquiry to completing purchase of my new car was superb. The car I was interested in was 100 miles away but without hesitation it was brought in for my no commitment viewing. H arranged for the team to correct a minor blemish without question and then guided and supported me through everything I needed to do including changing personal plates. Brilliant throughout.

Spotted a mini on the used Mini website and dropped them an online enquiry. They quickly reached out and put me in contact with a sales chap called Tim Spencer. We arranged to pop over and have a look at it even though it was 80 miles away, but due to bad sales experience with Williams we thought it was worth the run. The car was well prepared and the dealer staff all friendly. The test drive was quick and easy and Tim was very knowledgeable about the range and the different options available. We bought the car and ranged for handover the following weekend which was smooth and well organised. Good work to the team - this is what buying cars should be like.

Recently brought a mini from here..was given to me with warning lights and various other issues took over 2 months to finally get all the issues fixed. No one seemed to care or want to help. Such a lovely car however the experience was ruined by the extremely poor customer service I received and the unacceptable condition of the car when it was first handed over to me.

Contacted stratstone Mini twice recently by telephone enquiring about a Clubman that they have for sale. On both occasions the receptionist said that someone would call me back, but no one did . I Followed this up with 3 (yes 3) emails since Christmas via the website asking the same thing and again no response.
My wife has been a Mini owner for around 8 years (The car is for her predominantly). but her 3 previous Mini’s were bought from another main dealer. My eldest daughter did buy a brand new Mini from Stratstone in Derby in 2012, and said it was a good experience, something I can’t say the same
To recap, shocking customer service
To add to this, the dealership now wants my contact details to presumably talk to me . I’d like to remind them that this information is a mandatory field to fill in when emailing the dealership. Come on !!!
