Permanently banned before access ever happened period.


I am a verified, enrolled college student at Grand Canyon University, and Student Beans permanently banned my account before I was ever approved or given access.

I submitted legitimate verification documents multiple times — student ID, class schedule, enrollment confirmation, student portal screenshots — because their email verification system does not work properly with my university’s server. I had to use their AI document upload process instead.

Rather than completing verification, I received a notice stating my account was permanently terminated for “repeated violations of terms.”

No violation was identified.
No incident was described.
No evidence was provided.

I was given a generic list of possible reasons and told it was “likely one of these.” The decision was labeled final in the same message.

Facts:
• I was never approved
• I never accessed the platform
• I never received or used a discount code
• The only action I took was submitting student verification documents

The only possible “issue” appears to be that I tried to verify more than once after their email system failed — which is not abuse, it is an attempt to comply.

I sent support over 30 screenshots and a full timeline of events. Their last reply was January 1. Communication stopped after that.

As a student relying on financial aid and managing a documented disability that my university formally accommodates, student discounts matter. Instead of help, I encountered an automated enforcement system with no transparency, no escalation path, and no accountability.

Being permanently banned without access, evidence, or explanation is not policy enforcement — it is system failure.

If you need manual verification or your school email has strict filters, understand that this platform may lock you out with no recourse.

You're wasting your time

I attempted to use them to verify eligibility for a Veteran's account on Acer. I submitted the requested documents and after not receiving a response, I opened a support ticket. The response was that my account was disabled permanently due to "Violations of terms."

The only suggestion I was given was to create a new account with a different email but doing this would have been another violation of their terms. I reached out Acer and they have confirmed that my experience was not unique and a lot of other people have encountered this problem.

If you are looking for a discount and Student Beans is the service, take your money somewhere else.

Student Beans offers relevant discounts…

Student Beans offers relevant discounts to my small family and I. High-Street shoe shops and sportswear, eco-ethical toiletries and student necessities. Entirely different to other discount sites that offer massive discount codes but for high end subscription groceries or designer clothes.

Horrible customer support.

Horrible customer support.
Verification wouldn't work so directed to studentbeans support.
Student beans support then directly verified documents but still requested us to resubmit through the site, highlighting the relevant info in picture. Submitted documents with customers support's highlighted info for it to be rejected and redirected to customer support again. Extremely frustrating, inefficient and poor customer support.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - DID NOT RECEIVE GIFT CARD

I placed an order for a Rituals gift card via Student Beans and I have still not received it. I have contacted customer service 3 times and still have not received a refund or the gift card. I have been scammed out of £40. Do not recommend purchasing gift cards via student beans links, you will not receive them.
