I called SugarSync customer service to help me upload to the cloud. Phone call started at 12:03pm and I spent 1 hour and 51 minutes with Luis to help me solve the problem. He was great, he took control of my pc and helped me tremendously. He went way above and beyond to help me.

As with numerous folks, I have tried to cancel this account many times, and I have literally not used this service since 2012. Recently, I've found that they have kept billing my credit card and when I dispute the charge, they refuse to either process a refund or stop billing my card. Do not subscribe to their service, it's obviously a nightmare to get them to stop billing you after you cancel your account.
Also, it's pretty obvious that the glowing 5-star reviews are fake. Take a minute to have a look around on the web for independent reviews and you'll find that these folks have zero ethics when it comes to billing accounts that have been canceled
The D- rating by the Better Business Bureau should give you an idea of what you're getting into with these guys.
Luis is the best!!
Just want to give a HUGE thank you to Luis. Been having a syncing problem for a while, which he fixed right away. But then I showed him a file that always looked different on the two computers that I have synced to the same info. He was able to quickly change the path on one of the computers to match the other and now I see the same info on both computers. I have know idea why they were different, but Luis corrected the issue.
His customer service and upbeat positive personality style was refreshing. He represents your organization very well. Give him a raise, he deserves it!!

I cannot say enough about Luis. I was having numerous issues with Sugar Sync for over a week and he assisted me on two different days. Today we spent a few hours on the phone and he fixed everything!! He was so patient and I just can't thank him enough. I didn't sleep last night thinking about everything and worried I wouldn't be able to fix things as we use sugar sync for our family business. He gave the best customer service I have had in years and assured me we would figure it out and he was with me until we did. Please make sure Luis gets some recognition for his service today. I will truly sleep tonight because of his help.
Failing SS
As several other reviewers I've used SS starting more than a decade ago: I had XP desktop and laptops (work provided) and a Mac laptop. Transfers worked very well. When I retired I dropped SS but later resumed it to backup personal files and the tons of photos that we took during trips.
My main computer was a 2014 MacMini and I had a 2011 Macbook Pro that I carried when traveling. SS backups worked just great.
Trouble began when I got a 2018 Mac Mini which was created from my 2014 Time Machine backup. SS did recognize my 2018 device but did not acknowledge my 2014 MacMini.
As you may have noticed, SS does not have any useful documentation and far less describes how it recognizes "devices". It's support is nominal/useless. My subscription ends next May and I will look for reimbursement for their undocumented/failing services.
Love this product
Love this product. Have been using it for many years to keep my MacBook in sync with my desktop (iMac) for selected folders, and also sharing folders with others when applicable. Great for travelling. (I always have my latest PowerPoint on my MacBook). Very easy to configure and use, and excellent support when needed.

Useless software
I joined sugarsync almost 15 years back and at that time it was a useful cloud storage solution. It appears that they have not done anything to improve during the last 15 years. If anything, it is worse that it was way back. I left my files for almost 5 year and have been paying $9.99 per month during this time. When I tried to get some files today, all folders are there, but all the files in those folders are missing.
This company has no ethic
This company has no ethic. I forgot to replace my credit card information for the yearly automatic payment by a few months. The company closed my account and erased hundreds of my pictures.

I have been using Sugar Sync for over 10 years. The installation is easy and the software is user friendly. I have several computers connected and when I travel I appreciate the ability to get to files when I need them to respond to emails from clients.
Sugarsync has been terrific
I have used Sugarsync for several years, keeping three computers in different areas synced. I have had a really good experience. It works flawlessly, and if I ever have a problem or question support always gets back to me by the next day.
I would highly recommend Sugarsync.

I have been using SugarSync for ages. Sometimes we have problems, but the support takes care of them. Sometimes it takes time but in general, we trust its service.
We have many other similar services, but SS has some unique features that it recommends for use.

Great job figuring out a strange problem
I had restored my computer from an Acronis full disk backup. For some reason, it messed up Sugarsync. I reinstalled and did all the things I could find on the web. Nothing. Luis figured the problem out in just a few minutes and helped me resync everything. Thanks.
