I bought some polarized Oakley's…

I bought some polarized Oakley's online, 2 second's after I bought them I got an email for $20 off my next purchase. Where was this for my first purchase? Then wait for it...I saw a sale at 20 percent off onsite 2 weeks after I purchased, saved me $40 BUT I had to return in store, give them the glasses to SEND BACK. They would not just refund the price difference so now I'm without glasses for 2 weeks and waiting for the FULL refund as I had to do full refund IN STORE then re-buy online. Total pain but at least I'm getting $40 back, in store staff understand how crazy this is but can't do anything as they say online buying is "separate."

I see sunglass hut replied below saying they would "look into it." They need to allow in-store associates to process a rebate on the spot for on-line purchases so people don't need to re-order at the new price. The girls in the store were well aware of the issue and very apologetic but it didn't stop me from having to re-order the glasses and wait. The employees even said "We never have sales like that in-store..."

Very disappointed!

Very disappointed!

Always wanted a pair of Oakley sunglasses so I bought a pair from a Sunglass Hut store. Firstly I was slightly disappointed that I hade to wait for a pair to be delivered to the store. 4 days later the glasses arrived, after collecting them I noticed a crack in one of the lenses. Staff in the store at that time did not know how to conduct a refund, finally after a telephone conversation with who I believe was the manager I received a refund and ordered another pair. A few days later I collected the second pair from the store and found both lenses had a crack in them! Surely staff would have checked these before I travelled back to the store to collect them. Very disappointed as I wanted a new pair of sunglasses for a holiday. Sunglass Hut you need to do better, if I had the chance to give 0 stars I would have.

I bought a pair of Prada sunglasses

I bought a pair of Prada sunglasses. I barely used them just a few times in two months before they broke. No big deal, I thought. Things happen, and since they weren’t snapped in half, I figured they could easily be fixed.

So, I went back to the store. After all, it’s a big, well-known optician. Surely, they would know how to handle it. But what a disappointment… not only did they show zero knowledge about fixing sunglasses, they didn’t even make the effort to contact the provider for a replacement part.

Their “solution”? Offering me a voucher to buy a new pair at half the price of the old one. When I asked again if they could at least try to fix it, the answer was a flat “No, this is broken, it can’t be fixed.” No effort, no attempt, nothing. Just “Buy another one.”

I left frustrated, thinking I would never recommend anyone to buy from them.

And here’s the best part: I went to another optician, someone who actually knew what he was doing. He looked at my sunglasses, did his work and fixed them. Just like that.

Ordered sunglasses online was told by…

Ordered sunglasses online was told by customer care they delivered to Ireland to place the order and then be told they actually don’t , 3& a half weeks later can’t get in touch with anyone about my order so disappointing and such bad service , Asked could I have them shipped to a friend in the uk & was also told no they would get back to me when they hear something about the order and still nothing, not good service atal avoid ordering!!!

Where has the common sense gone?!

I am very disappointed with my recent experience at Sunglass Hut. I bought three pairs of sunglasses (£344 total), using a £200 voucher and £144 on my card. When I returned one pair, only £49 was refunded to my card and £66 was put back on a voucher.

The “solution” offered was to return the other two pairs and re-order them, which feels unnecessarily complicated, time-consuming, and environmentally wasteful. To make matters worse, the sunglasses I want to keep are only available online, so there is a real risk they would sell out before I could re-order once the voucher refund is reissued.

This should have been a simple refund, but instead I’ve been left frustrated, out of pocket, and reconsidering whether to shop with Sunglass Hut again. The matter is still unresolved and I have not heard back from Sunglass Hut in over 24 hours.

I bought sunglasses in the Netherlands…

I bought sunglasses in the Netherlands for €350 and soon noticed gaps/looseness in the frame, which clearly makes them faulty. I never wore them and tried to return them after my holiday. In the store, they refused to take them back, claiming there was a small scratch. I explained several times that the real issue is the frame, not a scratch, but they still refused. Terrible service – I would not recommend this store
When selling, sunglasses should be checked just as strictly as when refusing a return. Customers cannot be expected to know exactly what to check for at the time of purchase.

Sunglasses ordered cancelled

Ordered a pair of sunglasses. Took them around 2 weeks and a few days before delivery to be told that my order had been cancelled as the sunglasses are out of stock. Brilliant management from a large company like this. Only use this company if you want your time wasted.

This company is Shady as....

This company is Shady as..... well you know! When i first bought sunglasses I was asked if I wanted to by the Protection plan for $24.95, I asked what is it ? and the associate said that if in 1 year anything happens to the glasses we will replace them no questions asked. "awesome" so I went back months later because i had a scratch on the and since i have the protection plan well....(what I was lead to belive). At first I was greeted by some tall associate who towered over me and asked if he could help? I responded with I have a scratch and I need replacement. He tried and said if you did it its not covered??? to which i corrected him and said no I bought the protection plan and pointed to the guy who sold it to me. So at first he was nice, but that changed when they didn't have my glasses in stock, so then he asked me would I like him to orfer the ones i wanted in? I said yes I would these are the ones i bought these are the ones i want replaced with (same). So then he says ok well you will have to pay the full amount now and we will reimburse you when they come in??? so you want me to pay again for glasses I already bought and when they come in you will reimburse me the full amount? Yes minus $50. What?? Why $50 its a warranty charge. A warranty charge I thought that was what the $24.95 was? oh it is but when you use the warranty you have to pay $50 That's not what you said when you sold it to me, Oh you mustn't have understood what i said when i sold it to you I did explain it. Like hell you did or else I wouldn't have bought the damn plan! What made this worse at this point is the associate was laughing as well as talking down to me and when asked for a manager a girl walked over and instead of listening just said "yeah that how it is" So folks when a sunglass hut associate asks you if you want to buy warranty, tell them to go shove it up their asses! its a hustle and a scam and way more hassle than helpful

NO CUSTOMMER SERVICE

It happened at the "Vila do Conde Porto Fashion Outlet" in Portugal, where I went to have a pair of "RayBan" glasses repaired, that I had bought there about a year ago.
It was a matter of refixing one of the lenses, but I had lost the screw.
The young female assistant quickly ‘dismissed’ me, saying that they didn't have any screws, that she would have to order them, and that it would take a few weeks for them to arrive.
Extraordinarily, she advised me to go to a near "Multiopticas" store, where they would do it for free.

Arrogance and lack of commercial tact. Next time I will go to the "Multiopticas" store to buy my sunglasses...

Divorced customer experience in…

Divorced customer experience in sunglass hut in Guildford United Kingdom the shop closes at 6 o’clock and I was there at 6:02 pm to collect my Rebel class that I ordered as a collection point the staff was so rude they didn’t even open the door and asked me to go away saying that it’s closed and I have trouble half an hour to come to that and who on earth would close the shop at 6 pm. I finish my shift at 5:30 and I travel down to 6 o’clock to pick up my order I have parked there is no parking in the building. I parked somewhere else and I come down to collect the order which is shameless behaviour of that customer service agent pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. I’m so surprised of the this is not the way the business should run.

Misleading “Same Day Pickup” – Ongoing Refund Delay

I ordered sunglasses from Sunglass Hut UK using their advertised “Free Pickup in Store – Same Day” option. The next day, the item wasn’t in store. Staff told me this happens regularly and frustrates customers.

Customer service later admitted my order wasn’t in the store at all but shipped from a warehouse (4–5 business days) — completely different from the “same day” promise.

I requested a refund immediately. Instead, I was told to contact the store myself to arrange a return. I called five times — no answer. I am now overseas and unable to go in person.

It has been over two weeks, and I am still waiting. All I’m told is “we are waiting for the store.” This is an internal process failure that should not stop a refund. The service is misleading, the process broken, and the customer left to fix Sunglass Hut’s problem.

Avoid if you expect the service they advertise — you may end up waiting, chasing, and still without your money.

I ordered my ray ban from sunglasses…

I ordered my ray ban from sunglasses hut thinking yea i will have these in time for my wedding been waiting not for over 5 days for a next day delivery, this is a joke i paid £130 for my sunglasses and still have kot received anything my live tracker service page has not changed for 5 days, i feel like i have been robbed, and now i probably will not have any glasses for my wedding, i feel hurt let down robbed of £130 just because i wanted to shop online i am being punished. I really do not deserve this all i wanted was a new pair of glasses and now i am £130 down and no glasses. Sunglasses hut and Evri must be in cahoots and they are robbing their customers i will be going ro the police about this there is no way i am taking this lying down i will also go to the ombandman this is a joke. I know its a Sunday but had no response but i am £130 down with no sunglasses this is a joke.

Customer service none existent

Went into their Stratford store while visiting the area(we live 1hour away) and purchased a pair of sunglasses, it wasn’t until we got home and opened the case to find we had been sold an empty box!!
Called customer services multiple times to try get this sorted without having to drive back to the store but they just weren’t interested, they were rude and told us we would have to just go back to the store as they couldn’t get hold of the store themselves!
I’ve then had to take time out of my day to drive back to the store,pay for fuel,congestion charge and parking and all I get in store is sorry about that as they try to palm me off with the only set they had in store left which were the pair on display!!!

Terrible company!

VERY poor service

very poor service. placed an order on Sunday for same day collection. Went to store, couldn't collect even though they were in stock. The staff couldn't release them until "head office" pushed a button there end. Waited and waited but no update. I contact someone today and the chat function to be told that they can see my order but no delivery details. I ask who I need to contact as I am being passed around the houses and he cuts the chat off! Rude! I have now tried to call the store (Norwich) 3 times and no answer!

Poor service

My wife ordered sunglasses online because they didn’t have the ones she wanted in store. They arrived damaged so she returns them directly to the store in Charleston SC and orders another pair. The second pair also arrives damaged (deep scratches on frame) and again has to order another pair. The customer service at sunglass hut is sub par. She just received the third pair today and it was not perfect condition either but to save the headache, she will just settle with this one and move on. Unacceptable for sunglasses priced over $200!

Bought Ray Ban sunglasses as gift for…

Bought Ray Ban sunglasses as gift for my son’s birthday. Sunglasses delivered by Evri. Sunglasses were too small so I returned them to sunglasses hut using the return system detailed in the delivery confirmation.I have the receipt for the return.
The return was tracked but never arrived and still shows on route to Sunglasses hut.
Sunglasses hut are refusing to issue me a refund even though I have twice been told I’am entitled to refund by customer services and they would process this. On both occasions the next level in the process have blocked the refund.
Firstly telling me I needed to chase the carrier up myself despite the return postage being free paid by sunglasses hut themselves and secondly stating I hadn’t got an RMA? Prior to returning the product.

I have had to purchase a further pair of sunglasses for my son’s gift from a different company, so effectively I have paid twice for the same gift.

I would not advise anyone to buy from this company online.

Absolutely dreadful company to deal with.
After admitting that their courier has lost the parcel - refusing to refund an online order despite it being a right for the consumer to refund anything purchase online. Will be reporting to ombudsman for consumer right breaking policies.
