Had a pv system fitted through Comtact Solar with EDF, very happy with both, it has Sunsynk inverter and batteries, they have performed very well over the last 6 months that they have been installed. Recently had a charging question, contacted support and they were very knowledgeable and happy to log onto my system and make the required changes for me. Can't get better than that.

To complete the story, my 8kW Sunsynk Inverer was replaced under warranty, approximately seven months from first failure. That my installer ceased trading during the attempts to resolve the problem, added to the delay.

I previously published a scathing review of Sunsynk (text below) which needs correction. My Installer had twice failed to identify and repair an apparent inverter fault, losing me over 100 days of generation. I attributed this to poor support of my installer by Sunsynk and poor equipment design. This was not so!. The real problem was a loss of experienced personnel within that installer and their then lack of system knowledge. Unknown to me, the installer ceased trading in late December 2025, which compouded my (and Sunsynk's) difficulties. I have since received excellent help from another installer and from Sunsynk Support engineers. The engineer identified that the system was not installed correctly from day one which contributed to the repeated failure. The sytsem is now restored and working properly for the first time.
I leave the original text below as an indication of my misplaced frustration at the time.

A Sunsynk 7.5kWp system with 8kW hybrid inverter and 10kWh of battery storage was installed by a registered installer in March 2024. In August 2025 the AC side of the inverter failed but the system said "Normal". It took the installer 55 days to get and install a replacement internal "Thermal Fuse".
In late Nov 2025, the inverter failed again with the same symptoms while delivering 67% of rated power. The inverter or its design is clearly faulty and I want a new inverter under the 5/10 year warranty I was given a copy of.
49 days since the second failure my installer has has not provided any indication of when the fault will be corrected or the inverter replaced.
I contacted another registered Sunsynk installer for suggestions to be told "We no longer install Sunsynk because of their poor support".
I have no confidence that Sunsynk can deliver equipment that will remain reliable over the expected inverter life time. I am seriously considering cutting my losses by having their inverter and batteries removed and replaced by equipment from another manufacturer."

To be clear, I no longer hold those views and I thank Sunsynk's Global Client Liaison Manager, their engineers based at Warrington for their assistance and other installers who have indicated a very high level of reliablity for Sunsynk equipment .
