I paid over £400 for a a log delivery and received a receipt. That was nearly a month ago, since then I have heard nothing from them. They dont answer the phone. They have taken my money and gone apparently.
Not happy.

Tried repeatedly to contact to confirm delivery. No response. Would give zero stars if possible

Ive paid £200 and have nothing to show for it. Tried contacting the company directly, still no delivery. Raised a request through PayPal and still no response so have now escalated. So disappointing and couldn't have been scammed at a worse time when its so cold!

Great sign up and order but sadly no follow up. It's been two weeks and absolutely no contact………is it a scam?

I am beginning to think this is scam business. Ordered logs in 1st of December. Email confirmed delivery date would be sent within 10 days. No email received. Countless unanswered calls made and voice mails left. Finally spoke to someone on contact number given on website 5 days ago. They said if we ordered on 1st December we will receive it on either Monday (yesterday) or today (Tuesday). No delivery. No way of contacting them as displayed contact number is never answered. I suggest you think twice before ordering any logs from this business. As far as I can make out I've paid the money, the business has taken it and not delivered the (/any) product.

I placed an order with Surrey Hills Firewood on 20 November 2025 for two bags of kiln-dried logs (£432 including delivery). Their confirmation email stated they would contact me within ten working days to arrange delivery.
It has now been over three working weeks, and I have received:
No delivery
No updates
No response to any of my emails
No communication whatsoever since the day I paid
I have followed up multiple times and have been completely ignored each time. At this point, the order remains unfulfilled, and I’ve had to escalate the situation through PayPal due to non-delivery.
This has been a very disappointing experience, and based on the lack of communication and failure to provide the goods I paid for, I cannot recommend this company.

On ordering (and paying) I got an email confirmation saying delivery to be arranged within 10 working days. Have contacted multiple times by email and left voice mail - no response from them. Also came across this on Companies House - (which I presume is the same company but will take this review down if this is shown to not be the case)

I have found that the wood burns really well. Pleased that I was able to buy manageable sized logs.
Delivery took a while but I will order again when I run out.

Logs did not meet specifications as advertised making not fit for purpose and got a initial rude response when on contacting the company:

First time I’ve ordered from this company, went for the 1m3 bag of supposedly kiln dried logs. Took 3 weeks to get my delivery - it’s peak season so can accept it taking maybe longer than usual but there was no mention on the website or when I got the order confirmation and I had to send an email in order to be told this so pretty poor initial experience to start with. Oh, and they didn’t mind taking payment straight away of course. Logs arrived, nice big bag as described. The logs are very big, thick and dense. I have a decent 7kw burner, installed last April. The logs just don’t burn, in fact they kill the fire, even if it’s been going for several hours with a great base. In the morning after a fire there is always a charred log left over and still a decent size. I had my chimney swept again in case it was that. I even bought a £60 axe to chop the logs into smaller pieces (and some of them won’t even chop up they’re that dense) . I took a log to a friends house who has a brand new 8kw burner - massive chimney - and on a roaring fire it nearly put that fire out too. I bought a small bag of logs from the chimney sweep guy - these burnt perfectly. So, it’s definitely the logs. They’re rubbish. I emailed Surrey Hills Firewood over 10 days ago asking if anyone else has had any problems, wondering if they’re just a bad batch, and asking for confirmation they are below 15% moisture. They haven’t even bothered to reply which to me says all you need to know. Interesting to read the Ajw review so clearly there is a problem. I’m stuck with a load of logs that don’t burn - If you’re reading this review I suggest you don’t waste you’re money buying logs from Surrey Hills Firewood. Buy them somewhere else like I’m going to have to do now.

Don't like leaving negative reviews but this years delivery of kiln dried logs appeared to be...not kiln dried...
Have bought logs from these folks in 2019, 2021 & 2023 without issue.
However this years delivery appeared from the start to be different from previous years. Firstly a large proportion of the logs were much larger than usual meaning they wouldn't fit in the log burner. Secondly and most importantly this years batch were extremely difficult to burn compared to previous years. So I imagine that can only mean they weren't kiln dried at all or not much. Contacted the company for a response but didn't get one. So my advice is (if you can) check the moisture levels of the logs on delivery.

I have been using Surrey Hills Firewood for years. Sam and his team are always a pleasure to deal with. Katie and Tom just delivered my order and could not have been more lovely. Really hardworking, genuine team of people. Thank you.

Good quality hardwood, properly dried. Excellent service. No reservations in recommending to others. I will continue to use them.

Was told delivery would be on Friday, didn’t arrive, then told would definitely be next day, didn’t arrive. Delivered on Sunday when out with no notice.
Wood definitely not Kiln dried as ordered, covered in green moss. Struggling to keep alight and leaves glass on log burner black.

We are a frequent user of this company. Due to recent demand their deliveries have been delayed; we ordered and paid on 4 Nov and only got delivery today. However I have to say in their defence the company consists of great people and they supply great product. Worth the wait just need to sharpen up on their Comms, especially to manage the expectations of new customers. Perhaps suggest a longer lead-time to customers. Thanks SHF!

I ordered 2 lots of wood to be delivered and paid with the order. The website says they will be in touch in 10 days to arrange delivery. 3 weeks later, and I still haven't heard anything, and no reply to my emails or phone calls asking for delivery or refund.

Placed an order on the companies website and payment was taken. They advised a 10 day wait. I waited 10 days, then 15 days, and have not received the goods paid for. Tried to email them via their website, the form was broken. Got their mobile number and left numerous messages, with one reply saying will take 10 days. Asked for either delivery or refund. I have received neither. - Post script. Finally got delivery. All of this could have been avoided with a reply to a text.
