I had a wonderful experience with Swiss airlines roundtrip Sfo-ber via Zürich. I flew economy to Berlin and returned business with my mother in tow for Christmas. Both class experiences where wonderful but especially the trip back. The crew was fantastic, food amazing and comfort obviously delightful compared to economy. The Zürich Airport was clean and modern compared to Frankfurt which I try to avoid. Thank you Swiss Airline!!!
Do not use this airline
Make sure you read the small print when booking. I booked return flights for £1200 and missed my departing flight due to a family emergency so as a result they cancel the return flight even though I wanted to take that flight home. No compensation whatsoever just another way for them to exploit people. First and last time I will be booking with this airline.
Change the seats without informing (for an anxious flyer)
Our flight got canceled, which happens, so we bought new tickets with the same airline for 2000chf each, booked seats next to each other. But when we get to the gate, 24 h later we realized they have switched both our seats to different isles and middle seats, without letting us know.
The info the stewards have is is that most likely someone bought our seats. Seriously? Make it clear that our seats aren’t the actual seats in that case. And let us know so we can try to fix it. My girlfriend has serious anxiety about flying and now you managed to screw up our vacation twice.

Paid seats not honored
Paid seats not honored – extremely disappointing experience
We paid EUR 140 in advance to reserve two seats next to each other (window + middle) so we could sit together. Despite this, the reservation was not honored. The window seat was taken away, while the middle seat between two strangers remained — completely defeating the purpose of paying for seat selection.
To make matters worse, we were told to resolve the issue at the airport counter ourselves, even though we only had one hour of transfer time. This caused unnecessary stress and frustration.
For an airline that claims to be a premium carrier, this level of service is unacceptable and poorly managed. The situation was handled in a very customer-unfriendly way, and we felt completely let down.
This experience has seriously damaged our trust in SWISS, and we would think twice before paying for seat reservations again.

Flight from Nice to Zurich 5th of December and they lost my luggage. They have no clue where it is and ask ME if I have apple tag to track it ???

Avoid this airline at all costs
By far the worst airline I've flown with. I flew with them today from LHR to ZRH, with my final destination being BKK. Not only was my flight delayed by 1 hour 46 minutes, I was told by the staff from Swiss Air at LHR that the connecting flight from ZRH to BKK would hold until we all boarded the connecting flight, as there were 25 of us for the connecting flight, to then land in ZRH, and the connecting flight had already taken off.
In all fairness, they have rebooked my flight free of charge, as well as book me in for a hotel for the night. But the Swiss Air staff at LHR straight up lied to me, and the Swiss Air staff at ZRH were not helpful at all! This was poorly managed from the ZRH side.
I also was not able to retrieve my checked baggage for the night tonight. So I'm worried I will not have a bag at BKK when I eventually land there, given the unreliability and poor management.
Bad costumer service
I am trying to book a couple of fligths. The costumer service is not helpful. I only received part of the information required and the lady just left half conversation.

I would say easily the worst customer service of any airline. I have to fly a lot with them (unfortunately) and every-time I have any problem their customer service are not just unhelpful but dismissive, rude and do everything they can to NOT help you. I actually don't know why they have a customer service when they're only job is to say "ok" to your problem without listening and not offer any solution.
Lacks a lot for a flagship airline
For a flagship airline of a country like Switzerland, it shouldn’t be messing up like this. Flew from Nice to Geneva and the checked in luggage was left in Nice. They told us to expect the luggage delivered to our address the next day but it took 2 days for it to arrive, with no compensation for the issue whatsoever. It’s lucky I’m a resident at Switzerland, coz what if I’m just in Switzerland for a layover??
For an airline like Swiss Air, shouldn’t be making such mistakes and at least they should have a fast protocol and take more accountability incase it happens. The airline’s frankly an embarrassment to the country’s aviation.
I had a flight Zurich - Miami
I had a flight Zurich - Miami premium economy.
I have to say that premium economy has no difference to economy just that it cost 5 times the price of the economy.
This was my last time I would ever book the premium economy with Swiss. Any other airline company is 100 % better and cheaper
Inhumane
Inhumane. The economy class seats were so tight that I couldn’t lean back without touching the shoulders of my neighbors. During meal service this became nearly impossible — there was simply no space. For the entire long-haul flight from Zurich to São Paulo, one essentially had to sit slightly hunched forward with arms crossed, because the seats were narrower than anything I’ve ever experienced.
There was also no dedicated legroom. If you were unlucky, the support structure of the seat in front ended up directly in front of one of your feet, forcing you to sit with your legs at an awkward angle for the entire flight.
This was the worst transatlantic flight I have ever experienced.

The gate where was in departure, there was no food for international passengers we can’t purchase nothing not even drink they put as the worst gate end of the airport where usually depart only short ride, not 14 hours flights!!!! Crazy I not recommend anyone if you travel long time, because they not there yet, they need to catch up even Bucharest airport better they here!!!🤮
Awful airline avoid at all costs
Delays, lost luggage, no offical explanation as to the delays & no acknowledgement of the stress & rea arrangements that had to be made at a personal finacial cost. In addition officious & aloof staff.
There was nothing good on my round flight
I have a very bad experience when I was traveling with my daughter this October. Many different issues during only one trip (round trip Hong Kong to Belgrade) with this company:
- I couldn't check in online because they checked me in automatically, putting me and my 9 yo child in separate seats, both ways.
- Connected flights were late, both ways (We were supposed to be in Belgrade for 5 days, we lost one day because their flights were late)
- On the return flight they removed my 9 yo daughter from the second connected flight. So, I was supposed to leave my daughter alone in Zurich and go to Hong Kong alone (?!)
- Very bad client service, people at the airport in Zurich were very unfriendly and unwilling to listen or help
- Our seats were broken on the way HK to Zurich (whisch comparing to everything else doesn't seem like a big issue)
On our way back to HK, since their flights were late, we couldn't get on our connected flight. At the beginning they didn't want to put me on some other flight so that we can arrive on time as scheduled, for work and school. Only after the airport staff in Belgrade insisted, they put us on Turkish Airlines flight so that we could come back home on time.
It was a very stressful trip. I would not recommend this company to anyone. What was supposed to be a nice short trip with my daughter became a very bad experience. It's very disappointing. For the price we are paying, it's not worth it.
Never again
Never again. Swiss airlines Montreal airport staff are very arrogant,Unrestpectable. We paid the money for peaceful journey. They make the passengers to stressful.
Swiss Airlines Fails to Deliver
I flew from Zurich to Berlin roundtrip. When I arrived in Berlin, I waited more than two hours for my baggage, finally giving up and going without luggage to my destination. When I called Swiss customer service, they could not tell me when my luggage would be delivered. I had absolutely no clothing and items because Swiss had asked that we check all luggage because the flight was very crowded. The representative said I could buy replacement clothing and items and then be reimbursed because they could not tell me when delivery would be made. My bag was not delivered until a full two days later.
After purchasing a pair of jeans, socks, two pairs of underwear, and two shirts, I submitted my claim to Swiss for reimbursement. Rather than reimburse me fully, as promised, they issued a partial reimbursement.
I am very disappointed in the service. I had no clothing and needed to purchase items for this reason only. (I have plenty of clothes and really did not need any more.) I had been promised reimbursement, not a partial reimbursement.
Duno if they hate the Irish or its just there attitude but wouldn't fly again

I am extremely disappointed with SWISS. I paid a higher fare specifically because it included seat selection, chose my seat at the time of booking, and yet upon check-in I was assigned a completely different seat that I never selected.
I contacted your representative, Ms. Kelli Athanasopoulou, who informed me that nothing could be done and that even a refund for the paid seat selection — a service I never received — was “not possible.” This is unacceptable.
I feel blatantly misled by your airline. Even low-cost carriers handle such matters more professionally.
