Having ordered a four seater Monty in Brown Vintage Leather we received excellent back up service with Warren keeping us updated with progress. Delivery was prompt and the Chesterfield is a fabulous addition to our home. The finish exceeds expectations. The process couldn't have gone more smoothly and I would heartily recommend S.W. James to others.

I met Warren in early December at SW James' showroom, his team's attention to detail and manufacturing quality made me buy on the spot after listening to his expert advise. Since then he has kept in touch to make sure my purchase experience is as good as the product. Will definitely be buying from SWJ Again, the sofa, a Huxley, exudes quality and style and it's comfortable too!

Great service throughout, from start to finish, I received regular updates regarding my order. I was delighted with my sofa the quality and detail they are made to a very high standard. Looks like a very grand piece of furniture in my home, I get so many comments when my friends and family visit.

We drove 300 miles to visit their showroom, where we were warmly welcomed by Warren and given plenty of time to look at furniture and to discuss our requirements. Luckily it was worth the drive! We were given lots of useful and impressive information about the company and everything was explained to us. Each sofa and chair is made by hand and customers are kept informed along the way. Unlike so many companies, S W James has the personal touch and goes the extra mile for its customers. We are very pleased with our Huxley sofa and matching stool but even more delighted with our bespoke “Corinne” chesterfield, made to our design. Highly recommended.

Warren at Sw James was really helpful & informative with us choosing our new sofa. We chose the Florence chesterfield and we are absolutely 100% happy with it, it’s super comfortable and looks amazing, beautiful soft leather. It took just a few weeks to make and was delivered by a great company who handled it with care, it was well wrapped and protected during transit. SW James is a fabulous company who make beautiful Chesterfields ,you are kept informed along the way I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anybody.

Everything from my initial enquiry to the delivery of our new sofa was amazing. I was able to discuss what I needed, and supported through the ordering process. I was kept up to date throughout the manufacture of the sofa. From the sourcing of the leather, building of the frame etc. The communication and service was superb. It was clear to me how important this was to the team at S.W.James. We were looking to replace a sofa that had been in the family for 40 years. We decided on the Huxley to be the new sofa, and I have every confidence that it will be in my family for the next 40 years. The quality and build is superb. It is as comfortable as they say. We recently purchased a Monty Chesterfield and Dorothy bespoke chair complete with Union Jack design both products have impressed us with the craftsmanship and quality of the products.
From the initial contact Warren provide swatches helped with the design and provided regular progress updates.
The products offer excellent comfort and would enhance any home.

We went to see Warren at SW James and immediately knew we were in good hands. Warren was friendly and willing to spend lots of time with us looking at different options for our room. We decided on a Huxley after loving how comfortable it was (not what we expected from a chesterfield). We took delivery of our Huxley a few weeks ago and it looks perfect in our newly decorated lounge. The detail and workmanship on the sofa is amazing and have just ordered a matching footstool to go with it.

My Huxley sofas are better than I expected the quality is second to none, extremely well made and comfy.
The customer service throughout was faultless, always returning my call when busy.

Whilst searching online for possible replacements for my living room I came across S.W. James and looked deeper. The problem for me was that they were located a long way from home but everything appealed about the website. Following a chat with Warren I decided to purchase a pair of Huxleys and a footstool, a new experience for me as I never buy furniture without a good inspection. I was not disappointed. Ready when expected and delivered with care. The delivery lads were friendly, helpful and respectful. The Huxleys are a lovely fusion of traditional and contemporary and exceeded my expectations in both comfort and looks with a lot of quality thrown in. As the icing on the cake they are made in Britain by people that care. One very happy customer, thank you.

From looking online for a premium manufacturer of leather sofas I came across this company SW James.
My Wife and myself were not prepared to spend quite a large amount of money before being able to sit on one of the sofas being sold, so through the website which is easy to negotiate I made an appointment to view the sofas with Warren, it was was very easy he is quite charming and very knowledgeable about his product.
We arranged a visit and were not disappointed, we knew already what we wanted, we sat on it in the charming little showroom, decided we wanted it and from then on it was plain sailing.
Warren keeps you informed of the process of making the sofas (sorry we did buy 2)
The delivery was faultless. The communication from Warren is faultless.
On the delivery day I was telephoned by Warren to check on delivery and ensured that we were customers for life, really can't ask for more than that.
For information we ordered 2 SPIKE 3 SEATER SOFAS
and a CHUM FOOTSTOOL all in vintage HONEY LEATHER.

Everything was perfect. Private appointment, time spent with us to explain everything. Purchased 2 sofas, 2 chairs and a large footstool. We visited the shop the week before Easter and were told it would be 12 weeks for our order to be made up. It was actually 10 weeks and everything was shipped to us in Jersey. Excellently wrapped. It all now takes pride of place in our lounge. The workmanship and the service from S.W.James is first class from the time you step into the door of the showroom. Warren even connects you all the way through the manufacture keeping you up to date and also once the goods are received to see how you are getting on. It was lovely ro have such service which is very rare these days. I would definitely recommend them to anybody. Best of all the chairs and sofas are really really comfortable. Love them all.

We went to the general generic well known stores but could not find anything of quality that we liked and good service was lacking. We came across S W James by an internet search and thought maybe it would be a bit of a gamble as they were such a long way from where we live but thought we would give it a try. Our worries went immediately after our first telephone conversation - they were so helpful and knowledgeable and could even make us a bespoke piece. They kept us informed every step of the way and we are now truly delighted with our new furniture.

We were looking to replace our Chesterfields and found S.W.James online.
I rung this company and asked the lady who answered my call if they do Chesterfields made to measure to which she said she would get Warren to call me. Warren called me within 10 mins of my call. I arranged to see him the next day at their showroom. Wow it was an amazing experience!

Showed us around the showroom and explained everything in great detail.
I had my measurements with me as asked by Warren. We also wanted the Chesterfields higher than we had. He suggested behive feet.
So I ordered a 3 seater and a two seater Chesterfield in antique grey with behive feet.
Also said we would get updates on the Chesterfields.
When we got home we decided to place an order for a desk chair too!
I received an email every week regarding details on how my order was coming along.
When my order was ready I received call from Warren telling me my order was ready for delivery. We were so excited!
Warren also said the delivery men would call me prior to my delivery. They called me and said I would be their first drop and would call me 30mins before their arrival.
Delivery men were absolutely amazing too. Removed my old Chesterfields and brought in my new ones.
My Chesterfields-absolutely stunning!! And desk chair too! They took away all the wrapping too.
We absolutely love our Chesterfields and the chair.
Workmanship is Excellent!
