We went to the Northampton site this afternoon with the intention of viewing and test driving a couple of models we had seen online.
The salesperson who served me and my partner treated us like we were putting him out - I'm not sure what his problem was but he commented that we couldn't look in the cars we wanted to because it would take him 15 mins to find each set of keys and the cars (we knew where the cars were as we'd just looked at them)
He then reluctantly got a set of keys for us to look at one of the cars (it took him less than 2 minutes). We had a look inside the car then said we would like to test drive it so he took us back to the showroom and asked us the take a seat.
When he came back he asked us if we'd be putting a deposit down today, we said were not sure until we'd done a test drive, as we don't know if that's definitely the car we want. He then said we'd need to book to come back and test drive another day because they were too busy and they didn't have time, despite there being more sales people there than customers.
At that point we told him not to bother and we'll go elsewhere. Which we did, to MG (Listers) at Riverside who allowed us to test drive the same model car. We actually then bought the car from MG and will be collecting it Friday.
I certainly won't consider Sytner for any future cars we need to buy, and I won't be recommending anyone else go there either.

We purchased a Jaguar F-Pace from Sytner Northampton in July. The car broke down within weeks, and it has now been with them longer than we have owned it. Despite repeated promises, updates are slow or non-existent, and we are still without a resolution.
At the point of sale, we were told the car included a front-facing camera — this was incorrect. When challenged, the explanation given was misleading and dismissive. To date, no meaningful solution has been proposed.
Sytner’s handling has caused significant disruption and stress. Communication has been poor, timelines keep slipping, and we have no confidence in their commitment to resolving the matter properly.
Would not recommend.

I have previously reviewed Jaguar Sytner Northampton and called out how they dealt with a fault on my F-Type (I had a sticking spoiler and was told that the whole spoiler needed replacing (cost >£1,300), whereas I took the car to another garage who discovered some corrosion on the actuator, treated it, and sorted the problem, cost £84).The review elicted a response: "However, we would like to clarify that, in general, corrosion repairs are not covered under our service policy."
YOU ARE MISSING THE POINT!!!
The point is that I was told that the whole spolier needed replacing due to a faulty actuator, rather than just fixing/replacing the actuator. There are 2 possible explanations for this advice - either I was being misled by the service team and the whole spolier did not need replacing, or there is a design fault on F-Types and if there is an issue with the spoiler actuator, the whole spoiler needs replacing. As Jaguar did not give me the courtesy of an explanation by returning my phone call I assumed the former...

My Disco Sport needed a software upgrade that couldn’t be done over WiFi. After booking it in I had a call offering to send a technician out to do it at my home. He, Deo, came at the agreed time, parked his vehicle considerately and did the job perfectly. Brilliant. No wasted time for me.

Having waited since April for our I pace tailgate to have new gas struts fitted due to parts shortages were we called by the lease company and told the parts were in and that jaguar would call us to arrange fitting,which they didn't. After four days they didn't so we called them and arranged fitting for the 7th, they confirmed by email the parts were in. Unfortunately the day before the car had complete battery failure and broke down ,so the vehicle was recovered to sytner Northampton, where my wife had to wait for the service technician to talk to her to then be told that the car was booked in for boot gas struts inspection tomorrow and that she was a day early. We had already phoned the dealer to tell them the car had broken down and that we were coming in with it but the service technician insisted that the parts weren't in so they would only carry out the inspection tomorrow. So as usual at this dealers the customer is always wrong. Appalling service as usual from sytner, confirming as per my review last time having owned a jaguar or land rover for 25 years,as soon as I can get out of this lease I will never buy a jaguar or land rover again.

Sales team were helpful and good. Once sale agreed experience poor, delivery experience probably worst hand over (if you can call handing over the keys a hand over) I've ever experienced. Then trying to get support regards the missing a mat, no fuel in car and app set up none existent for 3 days. Customer service???

Had I not fallen in love with the vehicle, I would have taken my business elsewhere, as I didn’t feel truly heard or attended to by the salesperson. Communication felt lacking, and at times, I felt like more of an afterthought than a valued customer.
The handover process was particularly underwhelming—I expected a more engaging and attentive experience, but instead, I was left feeling let down. For a brand like Jaguar, I anticipated a higher level of service to match the quality of the car.
That being said, the car itself is fantastic, and I’m thrilled with my choice. I just wish the dealership experience had matched the excellence of the vehicle.
