Mediocre Warranties
Mediocre Warranties
Purchased a brand-new BMW 5 series plug-in hybrid end 2024 , by August 2025 it had been back to BMW twice with faults ranging from auto-hold inoperable & informalant going completely off & not coming back on , roadside were called & had to book in at the garage for more in depth scrutiny , diagnostics done & away we go . Service done Jan 2026 , pointed out a recall of the wiring loom secured . April 2026 , severe dangerous major misting of the whole vehicle & was told the scuttle panel needed replacing due to build up of water , waited 13 weeks for the part to be replaced . Sept 2026 catastrophic faults & shut down of X Drive , steering stability , braking system & adaptive cruise control to name but a few , in again for diagnostics & everything wiped clear , given a clean bill of health & away we go again , 5 days later yet another breakdown same as previous but worse 14 serious warnings all connected to below the scuttle panel....BMW now say its not the scuttle panel but every BMW forum & independent forum states these issues are due to water leakage from this & into the DSC unit . BMW subsequently wash their hands of this & the poor puppets ( no offence ) on the end of the phones at branch & BMW customer service read from the training script to tell you your warranty doesn't cover this issue . To boot your thrown under the bus after paying over £90000 for a car with ongoing issues . You may well say only 18months old , however when you begin delving into this further you find the car was manufactured January 2024 & Delivered end 2024 . This vehicle amongst others clearly were sat in large shipyards seeping in water etc for nearly a year .
This seriously is one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a car manufacturer.
To have purchased a brand-new BMW, expecting a reliable, high-quality vehicle and the level of customer service that should come with paying a premium price. Instead, I have been left with a vehicle that is not fit for purpose and a manufacturer that seems unwilling to take responsibility for the situation , the most unacceptable part of this experience is not only the problems with the vehicle , but BMW’s complete lack of honesty when I raised my concerns. Instead of working with me as a customer to resolve the matter properly, I have been passed from one department to another, with no clear accountability and no satisfactory solution.
Customers should not have to fight with the manufacturer after buying a brand-new car especially a premium brand like BMW .
BMW should be standing by its product and taking responsibility when clearly a new vehicle does not meet the standards a customer has paid for .
When you have spent a substantial amount of money on a supposedly premium vehicle, yet having been left feeling completely ignored , unsupported & the way this matter has been handled has been extremely disappointing and has destroyed my total confidence in BMW.
Based on this experience you should seriously reconsider purchasing a BMW. The biggest disappointment has not only been the vehicle itself, but the way BMW has treated me when I needed the company to stand behind its product.
A Loyal Customer Let Down by a Complete Breakdown in Standards.
BMW UK has demonstrated a remarkable disregard for customer loyalty, brand integrity, and basic accountability that showed not only a lack of urgency & a total lack of respect .
For a company with BMW’s heritage, this is deeply disappointing, and it raises serious questions about how they value their customers once the sale is complete .
Excellent service …
Booked car in for a service and the price was very good and the man who booked us in could not have been more helpful. Been using this garage (formerly rybrook) since I bought the car with only 25 miles on the clock.excellent service.!
Poor front desk reception and loan car provision
Booked in for brake fluid service, MOT and loan car. Checked in and told someone would be with me shortly. Left for 30 mins and after seeing other customers being served before me, I asked if I’d been forgotten. Service Dept then told me no one had let them know I was here.
Escorted to loan car to be told a complaint customer had had the car before me and left it without hardly any petrol. Not impressed with this service at all.

Ashley was really helpful
Ashley was really helpful, I explained I recently bought the car and wanted the service department to go through it with a fine tooth comb. Ash provided me with regular updates throughout the day on what the findings were. He also arranged a Uber for me once I had dropped the car off. Great service overall.

The excitement of driving a BMW
After owning two BMW X4's over the past 9 years I knew finding a replacement was not going to be easy. The X4 is an absolute dream to drive and own. My cars have been cheap to run and maintain but sadly now retired they are out of my price bracket. Over many weeks I have test driven several cars but none offered the exciting feel of a BMW. After spending many hours at BMW in Worcester with the help of Tony Facer I settled on a series 2 X drive active tourer. After two days of driving this new car my confidence in BMW has been rekindled.

Honest reviews
I feel it’s important to leave an honest review of my experience purchasing my brand new BMW. This being my 7-8 new car from BMW / Mini over the last few years.
I chose Sytner Worcester because I had previously had a very positive experience with Sytner, so I had every reason to expect the same high standard this time. Unfortunately, that simply hasn’t been my experience.
From the day I first saw the car I’d remarked on marks on the paint work which would be addressed before I collected it the following week, so I drove over to collect the car, only to see once they did the big un-vailing only to see the issues with the paintwork which I’d previously pointed out were still very noticeable so I immediately told them even tho I was assured these had been rectified but imho nothing had been done and to my anger it hadn’t been rectified at all so they proceeded to take the car around to the area where they address body work, then an hour later bought it back to the front of the dealership in the daylight it looked amazing yet when I got the car home the marks were still there. To be fair, the dealership subsequently accepted responsibility and agreed to rectify the paintwork, which I appreciate.
However, I collected the car again yesterday after another three days with them working on removing the marks which apparently was bird mess?? , and even then, there were still minor issues that needed to be addressed before I could actually drive away.
And this is where I feel the real problem lies.
“In my opinion, if a brand-new car is sitting in a BMW showroom waiting to be collected by a customer, it should be showroom ready — full stop.
I don’t believe customers should have to point out problems, return the car, wait for things to be rectified and then still find issues when they come back to collect it it’s appalling to say the least.
There seems to be an attitude in some dealerships of “we’ll sort it when we sell it.” Personally, I think that is completely the wrong approach.
If you are asking a customer to spend a considerable amount of money on a brand-new BMW, then the preparation and attention to detail should reflect that. The car should be thoroughly checked, prepared and presented to an exceptionally high standard before the customer ever arrives to collect it.
Buying a new car should be an exciting experience. You should arrive, see your new car looking absolutely immaculate, get in and drive away feeling that every detail has been taken care of.
Instead, my experience has been one of having to identify issues myself and then repeatedly return to have them dealt with.
I don’t expect the impossible, and I understand that occasionally something can be missed. What I do expect, however, is ‘’pride in the product being sold and respect for the customer who is paying for it.”
BMW is a premium brand, and customers paying premium prices should receive a premium level of service.
Ultimately, this isn’t really about a few marks on paintwork or minor issues. It’s about “standards, attention to detail and the attitude towards the customer.”
If a dealership genuinely wants customers to respect and value the products they sell, then they need to show that they respect the customer who is paying for them.
I hope Sytner take this review in the constructive spirit intended, because I genuinely believe the experience could and should have been so much better. While I was in the showroom I pointed out numerous cars with the same marks on in the showroom, I understand whilst cars out side may get marks on etc but definitely not on the showroom floor those cars should be perfect in every way
