Faulty Instruments and Refusal to Respect Consumer Rights
I ordered podiatry instruments from TAFS (Order #TAF41212, 16/03/2026) with a total value of £115.69. After a simple rinse and standard sterilisation process, several items showed rust, corrosion inside joints, and visible deterioration.
Importantly, not all items were affected — I am only raising concerns about specific stainless steel instruments. This clearly rules out issues such as “tap water,” which I was told could be the cause. I have also used instruments from other suppliers under identical conditions without any problems.
Despite providing clear photographic evidence, I was told I must return the items at my own expense before any refund would be considered. This disregards basic consumer rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, faulty goods must be of satisfactory quality and return costs should not be passed onto the customer.
The value of the faulty items they are currently refusing to refund is £40.02 out of the £115.69 order.
This is disappointing — both in terms of product quality and how the issue has been handled. I would not recommend.

I raised this immediately with clear photographic evidence, but instead of taking responsibility, I was told it was due to “water quality” - despite the fact I live in North Scotland, known for excellent water, and other instruments from the same order and other suppliers were completely unaffected.
When I first contacted them, I was also questioned about my experience in the industry, which was both irrelevant and unprofessional. I have been running my clinic for 3 years and have never encountered this kind of response.
The refund was refused, and the issue was dismissed based on their internal “technician assessment,” with no proper evidence provided.
I am currently disputing this again, and if it is not resolved appropriately, I will be escalating the matter to Trading Standards.
Very disappointing experience - inconsistent product quality and the worst customer service I’ve dealt with. I would not recommend.

We would have given 0 stars if that were an option
Our dental practice purchased an Enbio autoclave through TAFS Products Ltd, expecting reliable support given that this is critical sterilization equipment required for patient safety and regulatory compliance.
Unfortunately, our experience has been extremely disappointing. When issues arose with the device, TAFS immediately redirected us to the manufacturer, Enbio Technology, and refused to provide meaningful assistance. Communication with the manufacturer has been very difficult, with delayed responses and replies often only in Polish.
Despite being the UK supplier, TAFS has not taken responsibility for helping resolve the issue or ensuring effective communication with the manufacturer. As a result, we have been left without proper support for essential dental equipment.
For products as critical as sterilization devices used in healthcare settings, we would expect a much higher level of accountability and customer support from the supplier.
Based on our experience, we would advise other dental practices to carefully consider the level of after-sales support before purchasing through this company.

My first experience with TAFS Products
This was my first experience of buying from TAFS Products and Suzanne has been amazing! As this was to be a reasonably large investment in new equipment for my business I had circulated my enquiry to several suppliers.
Some had not bothered to reply, whereas Suzanne’s response to my enquiry and many questions was exceptionally swift and comprehensive in her replies.

Placed an order on December 28th, it’s now the 19th of January and they haven’t even shipped it yet due to issues with stock. Super disappointing and no compensation for the long delay.
