Bought snowflake trouser sock and when…

Bought snowflake trouser sock and when received it it was a double cotton thick sock that was more for bed . I would never wear under work pants, so I kept them anyway and wore for at home and to bed . Wore out in a months time with big holes on the outside layer . They wanted $ 16 for this crap. Quality is poor in everything !

I am done with Talbots

I am done with Talbots, after 25 years. The quality of merchandise is inferior to what it was, and customer service is, as well. Not helpful.
In the middle of winter, no wool slacks and only one wool sweater. There were no fashion scarves in the store, either.

I am done shopping at Talbots

I am done shopping at Talbots. Extremely poor customer service. I’m getting run around on a refund. The pants I bought literally shredded the first time I wore them. They refunded yet I’m getting 2 emails saying they will recharge my credit card. There’s no way to talk to a supervisor. They just put you on hold and never answer. They tell me it’s just an automated email but I’m going to have to cancel my CC because of this. They say they don’t have the capability to send a email confirming that they won’t recharge my card yet they sure have the capability to send emails constantly about buying from them yet not for customer service. REALLY???

Talbots is uping their game

I have been shopping at Talbots for 30+ years.
A few years ago, I started shopping more at Eileen Fisher, because the quality of Talbots clothes had declined. This past year, I changed back to Talbots as the styles and quality have been elevated.
I also enjoy the warmth and friendly nature of the Talbots staff at the Fishkill NY store.

you cant reach customer service

I've been a longtime customer. I've on hold for over 30 minutes trying to ask a general question. I called 2 diff numbers and they both put me on hold. I also tried to reach them by text and I'm still waiting. I Don't know whats going on over there. I hope that they're not going out of business.

I ordered a silk scarf for myself

I ordered a silk scarf for myself. The delivery I selected was standard delivery which should ideally take at the most 8 business days after shipping. I received it on the 16th business day, after lots of reminders to their customer support team. Quality of the silk scarf is OK, but the delivery delay and their almost non-responsive customer support is what they need to address.

Terrible customer service on returns and/or full money returned.

I purchased a couple of sweaters for my wife as Christmas gifts. One sweater fit the other did not. My wife took the non-fitting sweater back in to the store I purchased it from, see if there was either a replacement that would work, or get a full return of the amount I purchased it for. My wife was treated terribly for even thinking of returning it.

I went to Talbots because at one time they were a reputable store/brand. Apparently that no longer is true. My wife will not shop there anymore, and has asked me to do the same.

With the economy like it is, it appears that Talbots no longer care about their clients.

I ordered a pair of navy corduroys and…

I ordered a pair of navy corduroys and decided to exchange them for the color Grey. Initially I paid with credit card and merchandise certificate I had. When the associate exchanged them she input the whole exchange as a merchandise credit!! When the Grey pants were delivered they did not fit. They were cut smaller than the black I had. So when I returned them I had to take a full merchandise credit because the previous associate screwed-up the exchange.
Talbots is no longer the store it was years ago. Clothes quality stinks
The fit is no longer consistent. They screw you with their so-called sales coupons and adjustments
I closed their credit card years ago. They have no idea what they are doing in the billing dept. The store is disorganized. I say bring back the sales people they had for years. Change from Comenity bank too. Teach the new associates how to do an exchange.

😡 "I've been a loyal Talbots customer for over 20 years, but my recent experience has left me extremely disappointed. I purchased a gift on December 8th with premium shipping to ensure it arrived by December 20th for a party. I was told to expect it on December 19th, but when I called customer service on December 20th, Michelle, the representative, informed me it wouldn't arrive until December 29th.

Not only was Michelle unhelpful, but she also seemed uninterested in assisting me and even mocked my accent, wishing me a "Merry Christmas" in a condescending tone. When I called back to complain, the second representative hung up on me.

I'm left with no gift and feeling frustrated with Talbots' poor customer service. I'm extremely disappointed and would like some help resolving this issue."

On November 26

On November 26, 2025, I ordered three pairs of pants from Talbots. I received a shipping notification shortly after, and my credit card was charged on November 28. However, as of December 17 - over three weeks later - the package still hasn't arrived. The tracking information only shows that a shipping label was created, with no further updates or movement. I've emailed customer service multiple times with no response whatsoever. Today, I've been on hold by phone for over 16 minutes just trying to get a refund processed.In past years, I've been a loyal Talbots customer with no issues, appreciating the affordable pricing and good quality. Unfortunately, things have changed significantly. The delayed (or nonexistent) shipping, unresponsive support, and declining quality of both products and service have been disappointing. Talbots used to stand out as a reliable option, but I can no longer recommend it based on this experience.

Fell for the deception

Foolishly fell for the deception that this was the real Talbot's. Talbot Toronto is not the well known reputable retailer Talbot's. The sweater is made of inferior synthetic materials (polyester and nylon) and is overpriced at $80 (which they misleadingly list as half price). I'm left with a bad taste and have no desire to even wear the sweater. I will give it to charity.

Inventory issues

They clearly need a new inventory system. Ordered on Nov 22nd, was in stock, called multiple times as it was not shipping. Last communication said it would arrive by Dec 11. Called on the 12th & was informed they are out of it. I had a second order that only partially shipped, asked them to check on that item & it is also out of stock. This was over $400 as it was two blazers. Customer service offered me 5% off my next purchase - that's insulting, and I will never shop here again.

Cheap made clothing for the price

Talbots is price gouging. Clothing fabric is cheaper less quality than it use to be and they are charging more for less superior clothing. Stop wasting your money on cloths that pill and fall apart after a couple of washing.

Talbots was once very prestigious, not anymore!

Talbots was once a very prestigious and high-quality store. It was once a pleasant shopping experience. Not anymore. The customer service reps are all overseas and don't understand English. Can't answer simple questions. Very rude! Why answer the phone if you can't help the customer? Never shopping here again. Don't waste your time. Quality and sizing are also an issue, sizing inconsistent across the board and fabric getting cheaper and cheaper. Quality is no better than some Walmart items. Over-priced too! Such a shame! Ordered 2 items over a week ago and status unchanged, not even shipped and rep can't respond as to when items will ship. I will most likely return the items if or when they do arrive. Don't want to support companies like this one! No wonder everyone is rating this store with one star! Don't shop here unless you enjoy aggravation!

Do not shop with Talbots under any condition. If you have any problems with your order you are just out that money. Called them and started a return. Printed label and sent item back. A month later they sent me an email informing me that I only had a few days to get my return to them. Checked the tracking number. They had received it November 29th. Now on December 8th I had no pants & no refund. First 30 min call where I had to provide all personal info, plus order number & tracking number. On hold , on hold, on hold. Hung up, called back, same routine, but asked for a Manager. Here is the point of this review. You cannot speak to a Manager. They will call you back (supposedly) in 48 hours. ?????
So that’s $84 I will never see again.

Poor customer service with w/a side of lecture

If I could give no stars, I would, but it won't let me leave a review unless I select at least one star. I stopped by the store in Granger, Indiana. Just remember not to ask any questions of the salespeople because you’ll be lectured on how it’s above their pay grade to know every item in the store. A nicer approach, “I’m unsure but it will be my pleasure to assist you.” I guess you feel the need to lecture customers. I know I don’t look like the customer you were helping before you spoke to me the way you did, but I bet you my dollar is green just like theirs.
