Easy trouble free transaction. Tom was very helpful and took the time to explain the controls and helped set up the technology needed to understand and drive our new car. Part exchange straightforward and also problem free. Although we don’t intend changing the explorer for many years we would definitely recommend using TC Harrison to anyone looking for a new/used car.

The staff at TCHarrison were lovely, honestly I couldn't find fault with any one I spoke to during my visits there. No sales pressure, and very accommodating. However the car buying experience itself was a little chaotic and has left me a little bewildered.

The initial purchase was fine, all explained and guided through well enough, but upon collecting the car this is where I saw some issues. The sales person I was with had another customer turn up for them, so he had to deal with that person whilst I was going through my collection procedures (tax, insurance, payments etc), so it all took a lot longer than it should have. I had plenty of time so just shrugged it off.

The sales person had to keep popping into a back office to speak with management to get things signed off and agreed, and later a senior sales person had to come out and run through what id describe as an audit of the process with me? Never had anything like this before, just felt unnecessary, though he was a nice guy too.

Before I was taken to the car the original sales person came out of the office and asked a very strange question, which I'm led to believe he was prompted to by management. The question was where did you get the funds from to pay the deposit? I paid about 60% of the car through a deposit and this question was not on any form that I saw, it was asked verbally and he then disappeared back into the office to relay my answer I assume. I found this quite jarring.

So onto the car handover, the process was fine, shown around it and how things work, and the outside was immaculate. However the inside was far from clean which I stated immediately. It was agreed I'd bring it back for a valet in a week or so. I left with the car and had no issues with it.

When I brought it back for the valet I pointed out what was needed and left it with them for neatly 2 hours. When i got it back it looked clean initially but the windows internally were covered in streaks, I mean quite severely. It was only visible when the sun hit the windows, but I'd expect a better job. I had to redo them when I got home. The rest of the car was done very well.

The final issue was that my unused EV charging cable (mine is tethered at home) which was in the boot, was no longer in the car when I got home. Genuine mistake no doubt, removed to clean the car and they forgot to put it back, it happens I guess, but it just added to the whole odd and somewhat chaotic experience.

Purchase of a used Ford Fiesta.
I had a test drive and found a few problems with the car. The Salesman made a list of the faults and said he would get them all sorted. So I decided to reserve the car. I received a call about a week later informing me the car was now ready for me to test drive again. I arrived that afternoon and took the car out again,
Everything I had asked to be done had been done, except a small dent, this had been left because of a problem accessing the dent, it required a small hole to be drilled then plugged, so they left it for me to decide if I wanted that done. I decided to leave it for now, but was informed I could have it done later should I change my mind.
I decided to have the car so we went into the showroom to sort the paperwork.
I was offered a drink, and we sat down.
If I am honest it all felt a little rushed after that, not pressured but definitely wanted to get it done as quickly as possible and get me out of there.
The other thing I asked for was a copy of the 75 point check that was supposed to be done with all the used car stock.
I am still waiting for this a week later having made a couple of calls and another visit to the showroom, all without success. I would have liked to have seen this to see what condition the mechanic thought the tyres and brakes were in, and any other potential mechanical faults or future costs I might incur. I am expecting a follow up call so l will ask again for this information.
All in all the staff are very professional,
But in my opinion I would have liked it to be a little more relaxed rather than rushed.

We visited the dealership with a view of comparing colours. We didn’t expect them to have a car in stock with our colour of choice and the preferred model with desired specification.
We spoke with Sam who was excellent and answered all our queries clearly. There was no hard sell and we were never put under pressure to buy.
The dealer offered a fair price for our current car so after going away and discussing the offer we decided to return and agreed to buy.
We returned a few days later to collect the car which had been fully prepared ready for our collection.

I bought My Mercedes from T.C. Harrison. Ethan Clarke was a person who sort out everthing for me. Very helpful and proffesional, answer all my questions and tried to help with everthing. Recommend this person. The only conserns i have that my new car dont have a engine undertray. If technicians seen it is missing, they should order and install it while car been prepared for me.

Really happy start to finish. I’ve avoided main dealers for many years because of high prices and pushy salespeople and have clearly done some places an injustice.

First saw a car that I was interested in but for the future and not now at TCH Derby. As I was looking at one Jethro popped out to see if I needed anything, was very pleasant and not pushy at all.

I explained that I was not in the market today for a car but was interested in looking at one. “No problem” and off he went to get the keys so I could look around it. Even though I had said this wasn’t the exact model I was after Jethro was happy for me to take it out for a spin to get a feel of the car. I said I would be genuinely looking in about six months so he took my details and said he’d be in touch at the later date.

A few weeks later and the exact model I was after came in and after a phone call explaining that I couldn’t get to see it Jethro agreed to hold it for longer than normal. A few days later I popped in, took it out for a spin and agreed a sale. A couple of days later I picked it up, dropping my car off in part exchange. The whole process was smooth, relaxed and professional with Jethro sorting everything out.
