Too many pop-up adverts! I get that they need ads in order to keep the office lights on, but fck me dude. It’d be better to just have the ads on the sides of the articles, while allowing... See more

Unusable.

I looked up an article using an iPad Air 2, which isn’t that old, and the website literally froze. That website is 90 percent ads. If they need to rely that much on ads, maybe they could try producing better content instead of filling half the screen with garbage.

I want to disable tracking in general…

I want to disable tracking in general on their site. The legitimate interest is easy, but the hundreds of advertising partners is not, you have to scroll through them individually to turn them off. Ermmm, its a new era now, protect your customers, not try to screw them. Don't use techradar until this is sorted. I won't.

DANGEROUS- CHECK YOUR COOKIES AND BLOCK ANY RELATED

Somebody want to figure out how techradar installed cookies into my son's school issued chromebook, that automatically allowed for MOTION SENSORS(DEFAULT) Javascript, images, pop-ups and redirects, background sync, sound and PAYMENT HANDLERS(DEFAULT)?!
Or how they seem to have a whole bunch of YouTube videos when I googled them, but I've got ALL YouTube blocked from my son's device. Or how they show as a British newspaper for tech but then on another site show as an American based company?
Forget the reviews saying they suck.
This review says they are DANGEROUS

Does NOT list the "top free" whatever...

They claim to have the best FREE sites for various things such as free no copyright stock footage, etc. Not one site they list is FREE. It's "TRY this for free"; "if you buy this, you get that for free". Scams galore AND no way to contact them. Until you come here to post a review, lol! It's right under here but not on their site?? What do I always say? If a company refuses to provide a WORKING phone number or email, they're scammers. Thanks for wasting my time!

Poor journalism in general

Poor journalism in general. Poorly researched product comparisons, often missing features or even well known products. Some titles are clickbaity. Many pieces are just barely updated versions of pre-existing pieces. And all this with a triple dose of ads.

This is terrible.

This is terrible.. Every single time i try to read a review or article, a lot of the text gets covered in adds.. It has been like this for several months now, and again it happens ALL the time.

How can this be. Is there not a single person on techradar.com, who cares about anything other than money crabbing for adds. I mean you could just check your page 1 single time and find the problem.

This is ridiculous.. And the very last time i'm gonna waste a single second of my life on your Disastrous page.

You suck BIG time..😱

Too many ads!

The website has ads everywhere, it doesn't work if you have Ad-Blocker and ads reload every 20-25 seconds even if you are watching something else on another tab. I have the techradar tab open on my browser for 40 minutes... Imagine the money they get from this...

Horrible user experience

What an atrocious user experience on the website. It's impossible to distinguish between ads and articles. And don't get me started on pop-ups and videos. Holy sh#t.

They are completely clueless.

The site itself is fine, not a fan of it popping a video up into your face but then it's really not a big a deal as people make out here, it's one click to remove it. It's not a real issue.

What is an issue, however, is their staff and low standards. I've come across a few reviews over the years on this site and each one was very underwhelming and provided both little -Actual- information, just rambling about one or two specific things/features/sections picked out from the product and passing that off as informative.

All it takes to see this pattern is to look at the 'pros and cons' section then read the review with those in mind, it's literally JUST about those points and nothing else expansive like practically every other review company/individual does without issue, it's like the reviewers used it for 5 minutes, looked at the surface level stuff and said 'yeah that has things' then posted up the review that is akin to a lazy school essay of trying to use as many words about one basic observation as you can to just fill up the page. It's very hard to take seriously.

It also seems like the people reviewing hate their life and everything around them, they very often (almost comedically) take either a neutral thing or a good thing and present it as a negative, like... how out of touch does someone need to be to pull that off lol. I only initially had one example in my head of this but I went back to see if it was a recurring theme before I included this point and yep, turns out I was completely on the mark.

As a final note, they have reviewed an unreleased game that has only ever been given 3 hour demo access to anyone who reviewed it. However TechRadar reviewed it as if it was the finished product (watchdogs legion)
- This is irresponsible and just makes them look really naive and desperate, as I mentioned before: no one else has reviewed this game as they have not had appropriate time to do so, TechRadar is no different. Again, proving they barely touch the product before saying whatever they think will fill the page up and give them traction.

Sure

Sure, websites need to make a living, but I found this website difficult to use....then I realised it wouldn't let me scroll down until I deleted or watched a vid it was thrusting at me.

Also, maybe coincidence, but the second I accepted cookies ("We value your privacy" - hmm, not sure about that) could hear my computer insides churning away like something had 'got in there'.

No, deeply unpleasant experience for a simple tv search......felt like someone had slipped their hands into my pockets...

Biased opinion media.

Biased opinion media. Try to go here for actual tech reviews and analysis which is filled with some facts then just takes a turn with a snide opinion and trashes particular products with no actual basis or logic. Often hard to finish an article wondering if any of it's true due to the trolling nature of their articles.

I use to use this site all the time to…

I use to use this site all the time to get good info on tech devices. Right now I’m taking it off my bookmarks because it’s turned into a piece of crap. You can’t read a review anymore without being interrupted every few seconds by multiple advertisements. Just looking at all the bad reviews tell me other people feel the same way. It’s also apparent that no one will ever fix this problem because it’s always about the dollar they make on ads and not about tech reviews. Shame on you guys, you’re out!

Terrible

There are that many moving adverts now that it crashes my computer at work. Granted my machine at work isn't great but no other website I have discovered so far does this. Their greed is outweighing their content these days.
