Dreadful
My claim was denied even though the vets thought he had a sarcoma cancer !
All the paperwork was sent as requested .
They don’t seem to know the difference in a fatty lump & cancer

Refused to honour claim going back to a vaguely related one off treatment 3 years ago. Then when I left them they started sending me multiple exclusion orders for my pet to make sure I wouldn’t be able to insure against them in future (eg dog aggression because I muzzled my dog as a precaution as he was scared of the vet) awful company
Don't pay out for any dental issue. Premium ls increase massively each year.
Agree with all the other comments on here. Their small print limitations mean they’re not actually going to pay out when your pet is unwell.
BIIIIIIG SCAAAAAM!!!
As I can see they are pet shop, but they are also hiding behind the sales of E-bikes in Europe!!!! They advertise them selfs for selling cheap e-bikes and ones you order and pay, there is no way to reach them! So, the money you paid for your order just gone! Unfortunately, I didn't check the Trustpilot reviews prior my payment! So people, be careful!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE THIEVES WHO DO NOT HONOUR CLAIMS.
I will be reporting you to the Ombudsman.
If you won’t pay the claim, then you refund the premium paid.
Our cat got run over and we had to rush her to the emergency vet in Glasgow. unfortunately she had to be put to sleep. Out of the £355 bill, the Pet Emporium Insurance covered £0. Do not use this company they have so many get out clauses and will cover nothing unless your cat is under six years old- even then they have so many exclusions.
Absolutely horrible company! Made excuses not to pay out for my pet
Avoid this company pet emporium we tried to make our claim and they refused to honour our claim to an emergency vet our dog was pooing blood and very lethargic they didn’t pay up there excuse was it’s not life threatening DO NOT INSURE WITH THIS COMPANY
DONT insure your pet here!!!!!! Paid for years the first time I tried to make a claim for my pet it was refused. Save your money they are complete charlatans
Wish I read these reviews before I took out the policy. They will do anything to get out of paying
They are a joke . Only want your premiums .
AVOID
This company are totally rubbish there all nice when you take out pet insurance with them but when you try and put a claim that's when they change
I had to claim on my cats she has thyroid problems and had to go get check ups and medicine for the rest of her life they told me at the beginning that's covered but then changed there minds they never kept me informed I had to phone them up every time customer service is shocking a cowboy company
After the devastating loss of our dog, I called to notify Pet Emporium. Under the Death of a Pet section, the policy states we are covered 'If your pet dies or is put to sleep as a result of an injury, illness or condition'
Once I called up, they said actually we were not covered because there is an exclusion to this if the pet is 8 years or older, whereby it only covers death from an injury!! This info is in a completely different part of the document because, obviously in the world of insurance companies, it would be far to open and helpful to share this infomation under the Death of a Pet section.
So, 11 years of monthly payments, first claim ever and this is the response. Typically, they just weasel out of paying up. This is why people hate insurance companies. Don't waste your money.
Such a fantastic service. We recently claimed for our dog when he became ill. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff were very caring and helpful. Our claim went through quickly with no issues.
Avoid if you are looking for a fair pay out for a claim. We had 2 claims in the year with Pet Emporium - one when our dog was attacked on a bank holiday and needed emergency out of hours stitches and the other when she ate chocolate and needed an overnight stay on a drip.
In the first case, Pet Emporium paid out less than 20% of the claim as they said it was not life threatening and we should have waited until our vet opened again (it was the Easter weekend). This, despite the fact that the wound was likely to get infected if we waited until after the Easter weekend.
The second time, they paid out about a third of the claim citing deductions for no less than 6 different items. I have changed my pet insurance and will never revisit this company again. Do not be fooled by their promises. Very disappointed in them.
I had to make a claim after my little Shih had a weird episode when he seemed to freeze initially we thought it was a seizure,, my vet didn't know what it was but did blood tests the bill was £136, and we were told no it wasn't a seizure and the blood all came back normal. The vet saw him again the following dy which we were charged £36. I downloaded the claim form and printed it off, we completed it and the vet did their bit. We submitted it to the insurance we were aware there was a £90 excess When i got the email confirming what the insurance bacs would consist of and a break down of costs i was disgusted, It seems that on top of the excess they had taken 40% of the claim as well.. .. what is the point of insurance if they rip you off .. i do not understand how they are allowed to do this i ended up with less than £40 refund .. never again, I'm shopping around trying to ensure the next company don't have this policy..
Used these twice now. Won't be bitten a 3rd time. The quality of there inverts is shocking. The last one I bought was so dehydrated it drank from my finger, another died 48 hrs after buying. When I told the shop, I got told well we had had it for weeks and it was ok, it must be something you did. Lies as they ordered it in for me, and I collected within 48hrs.
I have 20 years exp in keeping inverts, do not use these they have no idea how to look after them, and what's worse, they don't seem to care.
