Fabulous dining and stay at The Cottage in the Woods, Whinlatter

I recently enjoyed an overnight stay at the Cottage in the Woods, Whinlatter. Our party was treated to a delightful 7 course tasting menu with additional teasers to start. Each course was exquisite both in it's flavours and presentation and each explained in detail by Michelin starred Jack Bond and his team which was very special and really appreciated. The wine was excellent although I wish I had gone for the wine pairing option as I think that would have enhanced the experience even more.
The ambience was perfect, created by beautiful natural shades and understated elegance that made you feel warm and welcome immediately.
I was lucky enough to stay in the dog friendly Garden Room, so comfortable and spacious with a most breathtaking view, and the added touches of doggie treats and blankets were most thoughtful.
A fabulous stay and highly recommended, fully deserving of its Michelin status. I will certainly be making a return visit.
