We had our order delayed for whatever reason all the way in Newcastle from DPD. It then was sat in a hot van all day and delivered around 17.30 past the supposed delivery date. Upon opening the box it absolutely stunk and my wife was very upset with her order as the previous one was great. Customer service is an absolute joke. All they're interested in is sending another box out. I don't know how many times she has told them she just wants a refund. This has now escalated to the bank as we're perfectly aware of our consumer rights. Any chance of ordering again in the future has now vanished completely.

I ordered from them a simple process i gave my address on my order as to were i wanted the order del but they chose to ingnore that and some how del the item 26 miles away from were it should of been del i emailed them between 7 to 8 times got no responce from them i got a email bacl out ofvthe blue saying there sending a replacement but once again they sent it to the wrong address again 26 miles never mind i contacted them the no of times as to were i made them awear of there error but 2 hammpers later still waiting for my order we are now going into the 4 wk of ordering from them question would i order again no defo would not would i recomend them again defo not if a company can not follow simple request as to were you req the goods to be del when ordering what is the point paying for the service they offer they have had the money for the goods but failed to del so ive got to go throu to claim my money back on my expranice of this company i would recomend the puplic to avoid avoid at all cost as they can not follow as to what you tell them find other companys as to are much better than this company as it was a wste of myvtime and effort still awaitng them to contact me they have also been given my phone no for them to make contact but still no responce so ill let you deside as to what you mske of it all but i would state this find a other comapny to use as these do not resopned to you no matter what way you try they still choose to not reply to you but fast to take your money never a gain would i use these pepole rubbish company to deal with

Had a rew orders before from them but will never order from them again.
I have noticed the quality was going down on the order before my very last one
Items were missing and the quality of the meat was diabolical
I wouldn't feed it to my dogs.
Refund was not what I paid
Avoid at all cost or be prepared to get what you paid for dog food

Our chicken didnt smell right when it arrived. I opened it and separated it out to freeze .
But when I took them out of freezer to use they still didn't smell right so haven't used them . Very frustrating

Fast delivery and good quality products

Ok so, this is my first time writing a Trust Pilot review, however, it always proves to be a valuable tool when making informed purchase decisions.
I have for some time been searching for a good, reliable and value for money online butcher. After many searches, reviews and recommendations the Fat Butcher looked the most promising and exciting so the order was placed….
Unfortunately despite the number of low star ratings here I seem to have most definitely fallen into this category.
The tracking via DPD was spot on as always, box arrived exactly within time frame and this is where the positivity stoped.
Upon opening the box which contained 2 orders the smell hits like a slap in the face. The pork from both orders is green, and a combination of blood and seasoning had leaked from multiple split item packages coating everything else inside and out.
I guess you could say things get bumped and thrown around during shipment, but the address label being on the side of the box I imagine wouldn’t help matters. Along with the fact that the box is obviously far too big for the order and with no additional infill packaging everything is left to flung around inside. The chill packs were not cold despite only being dispatched the previous night and I’m my personal opinion we’re not of adequate size or quantity to keep everything chilled correctly.
We are now left to rummage through what’s left to see whats salvageable, but at this point it’s really not much.
Now my biggest concern is where to safely dispose of everything.
I am so disappointed and honestly cross with myself that despite my own reservations I still went ahead with the order and cast aside any bad reviews.
I appreciate others will do the same as me from reading this and that’s absolutely fine, but I had to give my honest review and leave the rest up to you.
2 stars is based on the delivery being faultless.
It just leaves to say a big Fat no to future orders from me.

The box was delayed and rotten when it arrived. Emails and refund that you claimed were sent never arrived - somebody else has my money

Excellent meat tender steak will buy more

The quality of the meat was diabolical the steaks were like chewing an old shoe the silverside would have been better as a door stop and I don’t know where they get the pork for the links it must be of a real butchers floor. As for customer service they hide behind company policy and procedure and are in no way customer focused. If possible it would have been no stars. Forgot about the lean steak mince I’ve seen better come out a tin of pedigree chum. DO NOT be fooled by the images or meat on screen that is definitely not what you are getting

Been a long user of The Fat Butcher but last order was horrendous. The restaurant grade fillet waste of time.
Quality of beef and the effort to cut wasn't worth it. Taste wasn't great either.

Order took two days to arrive ,food was warm when arrived and missing 500g of sausage I paid for
Emails being ignored so far and found it wasn't DPD fault it was them that delivered to courier to late to be delivered on time

Ordered a couple of times now and each time I have found the ordering app to be easy to use, payments are straight forward. Never had any issues so no need to contact customer services. Delivery has always been on time and I have been updated every step of the way. Meay packed with ice to keep it fresh and cold. Most importantly the meat has always been exceptional and very good value for money. I will be ordering again.

Loved the marinated meats, steak and mince. Could really taste the flavour in my home made spaghetti bolognaise. Will be ordering again soon.

First delivery didn't arrive. The second... the bag of chicken breasts was just large chunks and the packs of steaks, well.. The labels had been peeled from the packages so they went straight in the bin as I had no idea about Best Before dates

The meat is top quality, tastes amazing too.
The service is first class, prompt responses and very helpful.
The delivery is on stated date very well packed with lots of ice packs to keep the meat fresh

Fantastic quality meat and brilliant deals, our go to every month. Would go nowhere else x
