Lunchtime on a Monday
I went at lunchtime on a weekday. I was very surprised to see it was so quiet, but as I was having a bad day & a headache, this personally, suited me well.
As I'd not eaten here before, I asked the barman to recommend something filling for lunch, as I'd not be home till late in the evening.
I also asked him to add a side for me.
I grabbed a couple of drinks and found a lovely, cozy nook, out of the way from the main bar.
Was quite whimsical in its way.
I got comfy and enjoyed a burger, with a side of wings.
Only thing missing, was vinegar, but cutlery and sauces were bought to my table, in a funky lil caddy.
Only 2 desserts were on the menu and neither were something I fancied. So, I asked if it were possible to just have a couple of scoops of ice cream. No questions asked, I was provided.
The food was very nicely cooked. My guess, is that the burger was made with a brioche bun. Very lovely taste. It wasn't overloaded, it was perfect (and I'm a big girl)
Salad was VERY nice. Chips weren't greasy. Crunchy on the outside, soft in the middle. LOVEly.
The wings...coated with....something that was very unique and tasty. Again, not greasy. A couple of wings MAY have been SLIGHTLY undercooked, but, no issues.
Music played in the background.
I bet that nook will be amazing when the fire is on.
I will definitely go back!
