Received my mower in perfect condition
In good time despite our remote location!

We purchased a Sunseeker lawnmower from this box shifting company. The lawnmower has failed to operate correctly, going outside boundaries and chopping up plants. The Green Reaper company is a box shifter, offers poor after sales service and their distribution company FGM is also not resolving the issues. My problem started 3 months ago and is ongoing. I won’t be buying from this company again, I urge you to make your own choice. There is a saying, “buyer beware”.

Read the T&Cs carefully as their delivery charges are unusual, e.g. treating the East coast of Scotland different to the West coast, treating the delivery of parts different to "non-parts" etc.

Fast delivery

Competitive pricing and incredibly swift delivery. Second time I’ve bought from this company and very pleased.

Ride on mower delivered fully assembled and tested by Green Reaper by someone who explained the controls and made sure I was happy with it before he left. They delivered it over 200 miles for no extra charge. Brilliant service.

As others have pointed out, this company is good until the sale is made; after that, everything changes.

I received a damaged item and the after-sales support has been shockingly poor. Customer service is by email only, although the sales department naturally has a telephone number.

Replies have been slow, often taking more than 24 hours, and have consisted of a single line with no greeting, explanation or basic courtesy. On two occasions, they appeared to try to pass the matter to the manufacturer as a warranty issue rather than accepting responsibility as the retailer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

I had intended to purchase further gardening equipment, but after this experience it will certainly not be from The Green Reaper.

Edit: The reply from The Green Reaper is misleading. My initial contact to inform that I had received a damaged item (a Cobra Trimmer) was met with "We will reach out to Cobra and see how they wish to handle the warranty as this will be a warranty damage claim". Even after chasing for further responses their reply was a curt "Let us take this to Cobra and see what they can offer.". I had to stress that I was following my rights under the Consumer Rights Act, that my contract was with them and not Cobra, and that without a partial refund I would return the item for a full refund before they finally took responsibility and offered the partial refund I was requesting. The process took 48 hours, not 24.

They state "Whenever there is an issue with a brand's product, we have to work with them directly.". This may be the case, but their internal dealings with Cobra is not my concern. As a customer my contract is with The Green Reaper, not Cobra, and their attempts to involve the manufacturer could be seen as an attempt to pass responsibility.

It is a shame their after-sales is so poor because their prices and delivery are first-class.
