The Growth Nest - Not as User-Friendly as Advertised
The Growth Nest markets itself as an all-in-one solution for small businesses, combining websites, bookings, payments, and other business tools in one platform. On the surface, this sounds ideal for business owners who don’t have the time or energy to manage multiple systems.
However, my experience with the website builder has been very frustrating. I am a professional designer who was introduced to the platform through a client, and I found it surprisingly difficult to use. The interface is clunky and unintuitive, with none of the simple drag-and-drop functionality that many modern website builders offer. Even basic design changes take longer than they should, making the process unnecessarily complicated.
What concerns me most is that the platform appears to be aimed at small business owners, many of whom may have little or no web design experience. If someone without a design background struggles to use the builder, they may feel pressured to pay extra for design services on top of the platform subscription. While there is nothing wrong with charging for professional design work, I feel the platform’s limitations make this an almost unavoidable additional expense for users who want a polished, professional-looking website.
Overall, the business management features may be useful, but from a website design perspective I found the platform difficult, restrictive, and frustrating to work with.
