GYM etc to The Gym Group
Since leaving Gym etc and joining the The Gym Group over a year ago, I have not looked back. Fitness level and shape in myself has well improved due to the The Gym Group having classes of 30 and 45 min that suit me with its days and times . The instructors in Leyland are brilliant and encouraging. Its a GYM well worth the money.

I liked the easy to use machines and anytime access, also I live 2 minutes away
I was training on the bag head down no issue & half way through a tuff session I was approached & given 5 min to come off the Matt as a class was starting , I said why not move up and make space for me? this didn’t go down well ,it was uncomfortable like I’m supposed to do as I’m told & not answer back, however I’ve paid to train & didn’t want my sesh to be ruined also I couldn’t see any signs to know a class was starting, once I was booted off the Matt the instructor half heartily pointed at a sign on the wall , I didn’t know it was there as it’s tiny also the writing was to small for me to read, my eyes are not the best, over all this was a miss communication however I’m not paying a monthly membership to be made uncomfortable, may be it would be better for the gym to remove the bag or re house the bag, or make the sign move visible & easier to read ,it’s a shame but not the gym for me, all the best

Music is too loud
The review is purely based on the ambient noise level and not a reflection of the equipment or facility.
The noise…. It’s infuriatingly loud (usually), I find this issue in many of the economical gyms. The ambient music is not ambient, on many occasions this is so loud that I cannot even hear my own choice of music and simply affects my desire to use the gym.
What is even worse is when the classes are on and the PT seems to think that blaring out their own boom box is ok, because even one else in the gym must want to listen to it! I guess it wouldn’t be so bad if the music was from a know artist, but unfortunately it’s more UTube background music…. You know they type, sounds like Mickey Mouse!

The gym is fantastic as are the staff
The gym is fantastic as are the staff , but it isn’t a restaurant or a hotel so don’t see the need to write a review , maybe area management can actually walk the floors and speak to members rather than relying on reviews, call me old fashioned.

I changed gyms and made the best move possible..
After many years of another Leyland Gym and continually being frustrated by good staff leaving and not being replaced , no maintenance of the equipment, I made the move to The Leyland Gym. Other reviewers are correct in all issues, all the Staff led by Jordan (mention to Michael, top bloke) are professional, approachable, helpful and just good people. The equipment is first class and kept clean and the environment is welcoming. Only issue, small changing rooms.

This gym is simply fantastic. Super clean and good equipment. The manager is super friendly and an exceptional for this place. The team of PTs are also excellent at offering advice and great knowledge. Great organised classes. Once you have been here you won’t find yourself going elsewhere.

I joined the gym in May last year and it’s the best gym I’ve ever been to. The management team jordan and Jack are always so helpful and friendly. All the Personal trainers are approachable and happy to help with anything they can. Evie, Jack and Michael are also always friendly, smiling and their classes are always fun & a good challenge.

Love everything about this gym!!
Love everything about this gym, equipment and classes are spot on. Legs bums and tums is my favourite! Everyone’s really friendly and it has a really good atmosphere. Staff are so helpful and welcoming especially Jack he always greets me with a smile. Can’t do enough to help you and it’s a brilliant place to train 👏🏼

Love this gym
Love this gym! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. All the staff are approachable and always about to give help and advice, especially Dan and Evie.
Love dans classes they are brutal but so good!!! The classes are for everyone no matter your level of fitness. Everyone feels included at this gym!

Fabulous gym. Very affordable
I only have positives to say about this gym. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Its clean and the equipment is very good. Love the app so you can see how many are in the gym so you can plan your visit. Ive visited it before 6am during the day and after 10pm never felt uncomfortable even doing a work out on my own.

Does what it says on the Tin!
I have been a member at all the local Gyms and this is going to be my last! You have to start with the cost as there are more expensive gyms with saunas, tennis courts, pools and all manner of stuff that I simply never used. I need guided exercise so take part in the regular classed (all included in the cost!?!?!?) and brilliant. Keep up the good work folks!

Never been a fan of gyms but recently thought about age and health. I joined just under 12 mths ago and love it friendly staff great classes life some weeks gets in the way but I always get back. 👍

I have always hated going to the gym…
I have always hated going to the gym until I started going to the Gym Group Leyland. The staff are super friendly and always there if you need them. The gym is clean and bright and the members are all lovely as well. I would 100% recommend this gym to anyone even someone on a budget as it’s super affordable. Keep up the amazing work guys who work here 😊
