Elvis class is the best and he is super fit the gym is very clean it would be nice to have more updated equipment here for example a few trampoline stations to jump on and do exercise. Janaka is getting more friendlier than when first started

Tik tok streamers can record anyone

Anyone can livestream with any other gym goer in the background. I've just seen a guy recording his streams and there's plenty of other people at the gym stuck on his stream. It's supposed to be banned but staff never do anything. There's a member of staff sitting a few metres away from him. You don't want to kick up a stink live on camera but you shouldn't have to. What's the point in rules that aren't enforced...?

The most disorganised company on Earth…

The most disorganised company on planet Earth, completely useless. Had a cheap membership for a month, then converted it to a corporate membership through Gymflex. Rang them a week before the membership converted to check all was activated, this was confirmed. At the start of the new month I was sent a new pin and welcome email. Went to gym, pin wouldn’t work, manager wasn’t in and it was too early for the phone line to work. Waited till 9, rang, they were confused but then said “oh it’ll work now, log out of app for 10min”. Went to gym the next day - app worked, pin worked, I had a session, all seemed good. One day on, I go to gym today, pin not working, open app, it tells me “rejoin today”. I never left!!! I ring the buzzer, manager comes out, asks me to log in on the screen which tells me “my account is disabled”. I show him the welcome email and explain the frustration, he says my company must not have paid. It’s a billion dollar company with everything automated through Gymflex, every other membership I’ve had through them has always worked. I would hazard a guess that it’s Gym Group who’ve botched something. I ask the manager if I could train as it’s too early for the phone line to be active, he says no. I ask why, he says because I don’t have an active membership. Please give your managers more power, and a compassion allowance. Think about the goodwill you would have built by letting people like me have a session while we wait to resolve this. Instead, my anger built up, and I wrote this review.

P.S. your GDPR rules are overzealous and waste both your and your clients time. one company pays for both my and my wife’s memberships, the above issues happen on both accounts. we both live at the same address and know all each others personal details. yet, we have to call independently to resolve the same issues, wasting everyone’s time. the key point here being, you don’t need to reveal any information to me about the other account while resolving this issue. there is no gdpr breach. please introduce something allowing people at the same address to help each other with their accounts if it’s THE SAME PROBLEM.

Update: I waited till 9am to call the helpline, the person informed me they are in fact the billing partner and are only able to access directly paying customer accounts, and that I need to instead reach out directly to the company via chat. I had to wait till 10am for the chat line to be open - where I was asked to “call our billing team” as otherwise this would take a few days to resolve (face palm). I informed the chat agent that the billing team has no access to GymFlex customer data, and now I’m waiting. this is incredibly frustrating!

It is my first time with the club Chantel

It is my first time with the club, I loved the fact when I arrived Monday, I had a warm welcome and Tania was just the best person to meet by the door. Help arrived fast when I called. Staff are very friendly, the whole place is fresh and clean from floor to the toilets/showers.

The location of the gym, the friendly staff and the super exciting classes! And the equipment is kept in good condition and replaced in a timely manner.

The Gym Group Acton has made my…

The Gym Group Acton has made my introduction to the gym a pleasant experience. I have always been reluctant to join and overly concerned with negative opinions of other members.

This gym has changed all that, the entire team is so kind and approachable and welcoming. Tania the gym manager was very helpful and I can turn to her with any concern knowing she will honestly consider what I have to say.

Angela and Isobel deserve a particular shout out for making me feel comfortable here

Good environment

I have been at this gym since it opened about 5 years ago, and really enjoy it. It’s clean with happy and helpful staff, and seeing Isabel and Andreea always makes my day and boosts my mood. They are always friendly and welcoming and happy to help with anything if needed, whether it’s advice on my technique or emotional support with something completely irrelevant.
This said, we have now had a broken platform for well over a year, which is not only a trip hazard, but for people who do want to lift professionally, they are not able to do so with good form. We also desperately need some form of glute/hip thrust machine, as the gym tends to be very male dominated!!!

Floor meeting induction

I did a nice tester workout training with Elvis pt of the the gym in Acton.
I'd really like it.
Was clear to explain and show how to do the exercises. Encouraging and tempting to do better and push out of the limit.

Janaka is very helpful and always very friendly. The gym is well maintained and the cleaning standards are high. There is plenty of choice on equipment and space for you to work out. Very pleased that I joined the Gym Group!

Management doesn’t listen to clients

This might seem petty but for months several of us have asked staff and management to fix the men’s locker door. It slams so loud it’s deafening and distracting and makes what is essentially a pleasant environment uncomfortable.
Management has no problem asking their clients to post positive reviews but yet don’t respond to their simple requests.
