Won't be renewing membership
Won't be renewing my membership for the Middlesbrough site once the year is up, unfortunately too many children running around and messing on- age limit is 16 but there is no regulation on anyone younger joining as there is no check after signing up, there are children around 13 years old in the gym at end of school time, they all push through the access pods together via one gym code and nothing is done to stop it.
The facilities itself are okay, they have as much equipment that the size of the building can fit, so if you go at a quieter time it is a good gym on a whole- just unfortunately feels like a playground a lot of the time.
I hate to leave a comment like this, but wish I had known this before paying for a whole year.

Cancelled I have recently cancelled my direct…
I have recently cancelled my direct debit as the floor upstairs in the Middlesbrough gym always has classes on. This means there is never any weight or mats to complete my own exercises and weights. It was becoming a waste of time traveling there and back so I have cancelled the dd. Another area is needed for the classes as no room for anyone else wanting to do their own workout.

The gym is great but some staff…
The gym is great but some staff especially the manager is not so colour friendly. Told her it’s hard to see the key pad out . You need to get it fix or put a spot light on . She tell me buy a torch light . I said what happens if you’re blind or can’t see that well . She replied you shouldn’t be out at night in the gym. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 come on what kind of staff you employ… they don’t go round asking people if they know the equipment or happy with what they are doing 👻👻👻 just sat in the office. Before I joined the gym I wanted to…
Before I joined the gym I wanted to take a tour but that is not an option, therefore I joined and my experience was not very good. The showers are not clean, I showered at home. There are 2 toilet cubicles, in one cubicle the seat was hanging off and in the other cubicle the lock was broken. I will definitely not be returning after my 1 visit.

Great Middlesbrough gym in an ideal location
I’ve been a member of this fairly new gym for about six months and it is spot on. Perfectly located on my way to and from work, it is never too busy and plenty of equipment always ready to use.
The current staff team of trainers are all genuinely helpful. As a newbie, I’ve been able to make use of extra services like sports massage for my old back injury, a six week PT group class, and also some of the free classes on offer.
The staff are always ready to step in and show you equipment and then come and check up on how you found it.
They are knowledgeable and proactive in their approach so will chat with you about anything you ask from nutrition, ways to enhance your personal goals or managing your own sessions.
Other gym users are also really friendly, and so as a novice you don’t feel any gym anxiety in those first few weeks.

I have been training for 40 plus years…
I have been training for 40 plus years now and I have won the Mr Britain title and overall champion, I have been a member of so many gyms , what I like about my particular branch , Middlesbrough, is that not only are the staff friendly, but the members are as well , which shows to me that the gym is being very well managed, as you always get a few bad elements in the gym , ever staff member I have met have said hello with a genuine smile, which puts me at ease and makes me feel welcome, as I do train for mental health reasons, it's better than a prescription, the equipment is state of the art and I've always found that any machine I want to use is available, another good aspect is you are not held to a 12 month contract , but to be honest , I can never see me leaving the gym group, it's cost affective and also 24 hour access

One of the best gyms in Midlesborough. Clean and well equipped a great managment team that is always happy to assist.

A really good place to train
A really good place to train. Obviously with it being a new gym the equipment is nice to use but the atmosphere and environment has a really good feel about it.
