Successful sowing - Great family business
Feb 26: update on original review. Harvested and ate my first Poona Kheera yesterday. They can be eaten prior to turning brown (sweeter when pale, stronger for pickling when fully ripe). Lots more growing on the plant. A successful first sow, although we had a cool spring and I was concerned they were not going to germinate. As soon as the hot weather hit they took off.
As an avid gardener I prefer to grow my vegetables from seed, rather than go to nurseries. I also like to order/plant something different each year, and do so through a couple of well known gardening companies. This year my search for a rare cucumber led me to this company, my normal suppliers just didn’t have it.
The seeds arrived relatively quickly, about a week later, which is a lot quicker than anticipated and the large packets have almost everything you need to know about the ‘how to’ of planting. With the exception of plant size they even go as far as adding the companion plants, which is information I normally have to look up. I’m extremely impressed.
The only reason I’m putting this up on Trust Pilot is because my Gmail placed all the correspondence in my spam folder with big red banners highlighting them as phishing emails!! I’d done my research prior to ordering, they are not.. A great little family business, you can tell they put a LOT of thought into their product. I will definitely use them again in the future.
