Spent a great night here
Spent a great night here, the king size bed, was a super-king size, the room enormous! The shower was nice and powerful. I was going to a gig at the Albert Hall, literally a few minutes away. The staff were great, especially in the dining room for breakfast. I have eaten here before and the breakfast is excellent.
The only minor thing I would raise is the sausage! It had an odd after taste that I could not put my finger on, possibly sage? I run my own little hotel and get fed up of guests who think they are the 'Hotel Inspector' or on 'Four in a Bed'! The gig was cancelled, so I enjoyed a few Erdingers in the Albert's Schloss Haus next door! Brilliant atmosphere and the bar staff are brilliant!
RUDE DIMITRI ! Front Desk Manager
The experience at the hotel was excellent, and the treatment from Holly, the duty manager, was superb. We really enjoyed our stay and the service we received while we were there.
Sadly, after we left, we realised we had left some items in the room. When we called the hotel, we spoke to a gentleman called Dimitri, who told me he was the reception manager. Unfortunately, the way he spoke to us was very disappointing. He was extremely rude and would not allow me to explain the situation properly. He repeatedly interrupted and was dismissive, which was quite upsetting given how positive the rest of our stay had been.
It’s a shame that such a good experience was spoiled by the way this was handled afterwards.

The foyer used to be a popular meeting place, in nice surroundings and with a nice ambiance. A place where one could have coffee served and chat for hours.
Now it is a hideous, tasteless, clinical, cold, forbidding, ugly entrance, where nobody stops and everyone wants to pass through as quickly as possible.
Very poor .
Very poor .. stayed in room 104 on Sunday 21st December .. hotel standards gone downhill .. focused on customer service but that lacking we was given an accessible room which had to get on my knees to wash our faces .. room was noisy generators outside then couldn’t use the spa in the morning as we didn’t book in as was not told on reception !!! Then at breakfast rude staff wrote email to customer services and then dismissed !!!

Nice hotel with breakfast
Nice hotel with breakfast. Couldn't complain about anything from location and service. Its one of my go to stays when in central Manchester.
Faded glory,poor food in Morecambe.
The Midland Hotel Morecambe was a disappointment overall. The building is in need of a large helping of TLC in the reception, restaurant areas. I lunched there on rather dessicated fare to the sound of roof repairs being carried out. Friendly staff but no compensation for the food. Will not b returning.
Afternoon tea - overpriced and under whelming
Took my elderly aunt last Saturdays 9th August for afternoon tea. Overall very disappointing experience. 4 tiny sandwiches and one scone each. Followed by 4 cakes. All with whipped centres. They looked different but were essentially pretty much similar. Bought royal afternoon tea and took advantage of offer to upgrade our champagne to a bottle for an additional £55. Service poor. Waitress had dirty uniform on. The sleeves were filthy. They added a service charge on automatically without even asking. The ambience was good but in my opinion it’s all show with no substance. I wouldn’t go back and really don’t recommend this
This hotel claims air conditioning
This hotel claims air conditioning. It is more air cooling. 2 rooms because I asked to be moved to a room with air conditioning. The staff did their best but those claim of air conditioning needs looked into. They either have it or do not have it, air cooling is not the same. I am here during a heatwave so really needed it tonight . At £133 a night i genuinely wish I had booked a roomzzz or premier inn. Awful evening , standard tradings will be informed

We checked in on our 39th wedding anniversary expecting some kind of hotel gesture …… nothing ! We got the dingiest room we have ever had in our life! We booked the restaurant , during our meal we saw a mouse coming from the kitchen entrance into restaurant !what a disappointment this hotel has turned out to be 🥲

The staff were super friendly in every way, showed us around the rooms with a great deal of knowledge and enthusiasm.
The room was exemptionally clean and every detail was thought of.The bar staff were really polite, courteous and knew their stuff.
We had an exceptionally delicious evening meal that melted in our mouths.
Every question and query was dealt with in a professional manner and nothing was too much trouble.
We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone.
Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable

Outstanding
Outstanding service and a beautiful Hotel .
Just returned from a 1 night stay to celebrate our Anniversary and the whole experience was fantastic . A big thank you for our room upgrade and especially to Marc Maganza who welcomed us on Reception who was extremely professional and attentive.
We have been staying at this Hotel now for over 20 years and visit 2-3 times per year and will not stay anywhere else when visiting Manchester .
A very big thank you and we look forward to our next stay in October and December this year
Great Location and Lovely Hotel
We have recently stayed at The Midland Hotel in Manchester, what a stunning property.
We booked a night prior to our Weekend to The Spanish Grand Prix with Vedere Travel, such a warm welcome from the reception staff, the hotel is beautiful, welcome gift and wine in our room from our travel company.
We can't wait to start our Holiday, highly recommend this hotel for a short break in the city.
Good location, and the breakfast is 100/100!!!
Stunning Hotel
My daughter booked this hotel for my 50th birthday. To say the hotel is stunning is an understatement. The rooms are very spacious and very clean. The staff here are lovely and very helpful especially Charlie and Mackenzie who I dealt with. Nothing was too much bother for them and we got a complimentary drink as it was my birthday.
My daughter paid for a full body massage for me which was super relaxing and the girl Holly who did my massage was lovely and made me feel really welcomed and comfortable. I have fibromyalgia so she took that into account and I can honestly say it was one of the best massages I have had. The rest room afterwards is beautiful and very relaxing too with soft music with water and herbal teas to help yourself to. Everything about the spa was amazing.
My whole experience with this hotel was amazing. The staff really do go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. I will definitely be staying here again.

Recently stay at the Midland Hotel for my 50th birthday. All the staff including Anna and Ricki were fantastic. I stay here on a regular basis and enjoy, but this was different level. They all went above and beyond.
Many thanks Bunny and Helen
Executive King bedroom stay.
Executive King bedroom stay.
Easy checkin on arrival with only the £1 City Tax to pay.
Exit the lift on 6th floor where a not very nice unwelcome smell of stale water lingers.
Room is huge and very spacious but that's as good as it gets. The furniture is old and the sofa and chairs aren't big enough to be comfortable.
The bed is big but the lack of pillows is noticeable and the pillows are hard and uncomfortable to sleep on.
No robes or slippers, Only 4 coffee pods. Leaking sink in bathroom.
There is a desk and mirror which is becoming an uncommon feature, so my wife was able to get ready with no fuss.
We arrived late and ordered room service which wasn't value for money in our opinion and is not presented very well.
Would we stay again? Probably not. The Edwardian has a better room and The Kimpton better food.
watch out for price change
I was really looking forward to a trip with my daughter and was just about to book when the price went up! apparently this changes every 24hrs and there was nothing they could do. Not very friendly , very unhelpful and not a very transparent pricing system.
what a shame I thought they would be wanting to have guest?

Stayed in the midland for nye was a bit disappointed to say it was £200 a night I normally really like the midland but as we got to the room there was pornography on the tv we rang up the spa as they told us it was shutting at 4 but can only check in from 3 so there was no spaces so we booked for 9am we requested robes from down stairs and they never came up so we couldn't use the the spa, the shower was quite old and didn't really work, won’t be returning for them prices but staff was very polite and friendly
