Fiona was an outstanding tutor who went above and beyond to support me throughout my Biomedical Science degree. I worked with Fiona during an additional academic year when I was feeling completely lost and disorganised, especially while managing ADHD, and she truly transformed the way I approach learning and my overall academic mindset. With her guidance and support, I achieved a First Class (1:1), something I genuinely never thought would be possible for me.

She was patient, kind, and incredibly organised, always making sure each session was tailored to my academic goals, helping me stay focused and rebuild my confidence. Her organised and thoughtful approach made such a difference, every session felt purposeful and encouraging, and her explanations were clear and practical. I was diagnosed with a learning disability in my third year of university and came to Dr Siân Fôch-Gatrell for support as my university was not sufficiently doing so. I was more than happy with the services she provided and she was quick and consistent in her responses, while also providing background information, timelines, and suggestions for my assignments. She also helped me focus and make my dissertation way more manageable without any academic misconduct and would highly recommend for any of you who may be struggling with managing multiple assignments or are unsure where to start. If I ever feel like I would need help again, which I might as I am about to start my masters, I will be choosing her as my first option again.

The profs is very easy to use. What we especially like is that the advisor always tries to find the most suitable tutor for our sons, according to their interests, goals and achievement. We needed to rapidly generate some extra tuition for an unexpected undergraduate examination resit. The Profs capacity to respond at pace to our short notice requirement was very impressive. Less than 24 hours after scoping the requirement with Prof’s hugely helpful and professional Isobel, our son was online for his first session with a tutor, Jason. They have been having daily sessions and it all seems to be going very well so far. Jason is very affable and an excellent teacher with great availability.

The tutors that have helped me with the various topics (math and my application) have been experts in their fields and really help full.

Mr. Toby understands deeply the entire process of interviewing at Oxford, breaking down the areas of strength and improvement of all my answers with great thoughtfulness, starting by referring to the entire purpose of the exercise (as a mock tutorial), while not making it feel too overwhelming. His encouraging and easygoing nature makes the entire process feel much less daunting, and the mock interviews were not only helpful but fun and intellectually stimulating.

Wanted to take some time to thank Thomas (professor) and Peter (main contact at The Profs). Peter understood our exact needs (the time we had, the number of sessions we could afford and the institutions we were aiming for).
He recommended Thomas who guided us in our thinking, came back with feedback that helped us make the personal statement more impactful, concise. He helped us understand what the admissions office care about and slim our narrative to what mattered.
