Afternoon tea

A big place with plenty of room so tables aren't too close together. The afternoon tea was delicious and the service was very good. I will visit there again.

Not good customer service.

I have tried numerous times throughout the day to try and contact them by telephone and its just someone telling you that they can't answer the phone right now so book a table online. Not everybody has the facilities to do this. I have even sent an email and they have not even replied to this either.

First visit and will definitely be back, food was lovely, lots of choices, and our lovely waitress Bailey made us feel so welcome.

Amazing Sunday lunch platter ;

We went for a Sunday lunch platter for 2. It had a selection of roast meat and vegetables, gravy & Yorkshire puddings etc

Be warned - it's a lot of food. All delicious. It could feed 3-4 people so you can take a dinner home with you

I'm still full writing this!

Wedding Venue

After our beautiful, amazing, fun wedding on 10th August 2024, we would like to thank everyone who helped make our day the best day ever.

From our initial walk through the door, and our first meeting with the wonderful Gareth and all our subsequent discussions with Rebecca, it has been the best experience ever.

We cannot express what a brilliant venue this is, we had people travel literally from England, Scotland and Wales to join us for our day, and everyone said it was a beautiful venue, several saying it was the best wedding they’d even been to.

We did throw some difficulties their way, and some times it was, "let us see what we can do", but they delivered on everything we asked of them.

We cannot recommend The Potbank and it’s team highly enough, if you’re looking for a fun, quirky wedding, then look no further. We can guarantee as soon as you walk through the door, you’ll love it, just as we did.

We can honestly say, there was nothing we would change about the day, everything went perfectly, we had live music from start to finish which was tricky to arrange, but no issues at all, and just fantastic.

Thank you so much for an amazing day, which wouldn’t have happened without the amazing team at The Potbank.

Don't care attitude

Booked ahead but couldn't go as we caught covid so though not a good idea to pass this on to people .
Contacted them 6 days before and asked if we could have a refund ,we were told no as it states no refunds ,but it dosnt state this in the booking page its at the bottom of a page you really have to look for , really disappointed as its not out fault , not theirs either but penalised for being responsible, they said they would give us tickets to a different event but we don't want to go to anything else repeatedly contact them but ignored .
Very poor customer service and no empathy or sympathy, will not be booking any more events in the future .
The no refunds should be on the booking page not hidden away to find .
Terrible.

Fleeced and made to feel like a criminal at the Quarter @ Potbank

Ok so where to I begin? First let me be clear I am not reviewing the restaurant. I am reviewing the private function facility. We were charged £35pp for a buffet style meal, live band and disco in a private function room that would be shared with other groups. On arrival we were expected to pay to park our car on their car park, we were then bag searched by a security guard before we were allowed to enter, yes bag searched! like we were visiting relatives in prison not out for the night (funny thing was the room was hired by a group of teachers and police!) on entry the room was actually quite nice, en eclectic mix of random furniture that doesn’t really match but works in a post industrial type setting, but don’t get excited just yet. We found our group and a place at a table where we found three small trays of poorly made dry half mini baps with a selection of (we think) egg, ham, tuna, cheese or hummus, a very small bowl of pasta, a very small bowl of potato, a bowl of Dorito type (but probably Aldi) crisps and three dips. There were no clearly labelled vegetarian options, there was however a vega selection chucked up the corner with no indication who or how many they were for. Yes apparently this was our buffet style meal, there were 9 people on our table at £35! Ok so I went to buy a drink, here I was closely watched by another security guard who remained in the room all night. One single vodka and coke and a pint of IPA wax £9:95, clearly they think you are a captive audience so can charge you what they like! The second security guard then spent his evening either watching you at the bar, or when the dance floor got busy, watching the ladies dance from the edge (literally) of the dance floor. As for the band, there were two geriatric musicians and a female singer that slowly murdered every song she attempted. They did two sets live with a disco in between that was run by what looked like a 12 year old who hadn’t quite mastered his mixing skills resulting slightly embarrassing pauses between the oh so predictable party songs. So to sum up, if you want to go home hungry, disappointed and penniless, go to a private function at the Quarter!
I will just add that the staff were on the whole lovely and polite, with exception of the strange security guard, and a good night was had by most, but this was due to the company not the venue. My advice would be to hire a function room, hire separate caterers and disco, then you’ll get reasonably priced beer, value for money for food and several thousand quid left over!

The Quarter has become a 'Whole Venue'!

The first thing to say about The Quarter Potbank is that it is wrongly named. It is not a quarter of anything, it's at least four times the size of what was when it was but a humble café 2 years ago.

The Quarter at Potbank is located in the City of Stoke-on-Trent, on the site of the Spode Works pottery factory. The added attractions are the Pottery Museum, and there are industrial units and offices to rent.

The Café has everything you need for a booking for one or the 'Office Christmas Meal'. The rooms include: Café, Bar, Restaurant, an Outside Bar area, and a Function Room. And who doesn't love a Function Room?

At this time of year, the venue, for that is what it has become now, also has at least one Christmas tree and the food is terrific! I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the changes so tastefully done.

The staff are very keen and friendly, and I have no hesitation in recommending that you pay them a visit!
