Always ensure you put enough product into the melter to hit the minimum line once melted.   Guarantee of product It is imperative that the instructions are followed and safety information is thoroughly read before use. The contents used in the melter must always be above the minimum line while the melter is in use covering the base of the melter to avoid dry burning. If dry burning occurs at any stage, it will cause faults to the melter which may incur unrepairable damage. How To Use Our Melter Before you begin, ensure your stainless steel tap is in the off position (lever facing left). Add your product to the pot, between the minimum and maximum lines- this is vital to avoid dry burning and damaging the melter. It should not exceed the 'M' line and not be below the 'O' mark, otherwise the tap will not work correctly and dry burning will occur to the base of the melter. Once the base is completely covered with your contents above the minimum line, connect your melter to electricity and set the thermostat to your desired temperature (left control), and your timer to a desired time (right control). If the middle switch is selected ‘On’ an alarm beep will notify you that the base has reached it’s temperature and your product will begin to melt. Once it reaches this set grade, you can turn off the alarm and adjust your timer clockwise to suit your required manufacturing time. Alternatively, you can turn the timer anti-clockwise to “continuous” to allow the melter to keep heating constantly. When you are ready, slowly release the tap to remove the melted product, the machine will be hot so be careful during this step. When finished, cut the electricity, turn off the thermostat and turn your timer to off ready to use next time. Before next use, please ensure the product inside has been broken up and is not one solid piece to ensure heating can be distributed through the tank and isn’t trapped by the solidified substance left in the melter. Please note the switch above the indicator light is to enable the timer alarm function. This does not affect the heating process and the melter can be used when this is turned off. Boil Dry Protection Our melters are protected by a thermal limiter with automatic reset function to prevent further dry-boil damage. If the contents in the tank, such as wax, does not meet the minimum capacity the melter will boil dry and the thermal limiter will be activated resulting in the appliance turning itself off (although the indicator light may remain on). At any point of dry boiling, the appliance must be unplugged immediately and cooled down before it can be reset. Thermal Cut-Out Our melters are fitted with a thermal cut-out to have double safety protection. When the contents are boiled dry and the boil dry protections fail to work, the thermal cut-out will turn off the melter. When the melter has met this stage, it may be too damaged beyond repair and cannot be used again. Please avoid this by following the instructions provided. Care & Maintenance Ensure the power supply is switched off before cleaning. Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in water or any other liquid. Ensure the tap is clear of any wax after using to avoid blockages. Do not use abrasive cleaning materials as this can scratch the surface. Excessive scale build up can occur and affect the performance of the heating components, therefore descaling is essential to maintain the product. To descale we recommend adding a few spoonful's of baking soda or vinegar into the bucket with a small amount of boiling water and left to soak. Rinse with clean water and dry off with a dry soft cloth. To clean the exterior use a damp soft cloth when the melter is cool. Our machines have a different degrees variable to separate thermometers due to the large volumetric space and the material components used to keep the melters consistently warm. We recommend pouring out the melted wax/soap into a separate jug before adding your fragrances and making the perfect end product.
