Stole $400 from me

3 of the influencers we collaborated with stopped responding the moment they received our product. That's $300 loss + $100 SocialCat monthly membership. We had contracts with all those influencers through SocialCat but that did nothing. Reached out to support, they just gave a copy/paste answer saying we should have contracts with influencers before sending a product (we did have contracts, the support person didn't even check. just a generic answer). Also advised us to replace the influencer with another one. Well what's the point of paying SocialCat $100 per month if they don't vet the influencers, do not come to help when a dispute happens and their contracts means nothing to the influencers.

Reputational risk too much for an established brand

The reputational risk of an international brand aligning even indirectly with The Social Cat, is beyond anything we have encountered previously. Brands should do their own research and reach their own conclusions. But from our own experience, initial pre-subscription email enquiries (2) failed to garner a single response, but we signed up anyway. We felt we'd give it three months. During the first 6 weeks we reached out to their business email three times, again, no response. Our campaign target was to engage with smaller creators, but (and we say this very unwillingly), they were simply too stupid to engage with. That's not the fault of the site per se, but what is the fault of the site is to allow these creators to delude themselves they are Warren Buffet. We directly messaged Creators, to be told that "nah I ain't reading anything", or words to that effect on over 75% of responses. The Creators who contacted us were no better. No one was willing to be interviewed. No one was willing to read, yet along sign our terms of business. In summary, the Social Cat could be an amazing business if it was run more professionally. We would have paid far more than the 300 bucks subscription, if only it worked or someone would engage with us.

A great platform to start working with Brands

I've been using Social Cat for the past 7 months. It has been incredible. I can apply to different campaigns (paid, gifted, affiliate) or brands can request to collaborate with me directly by sending an invite.

I'd recommend using Social Cat if you want to start collaborating with brands. I have had only positive experiences so far.

It's not worth the risk

It's not worth the risk. I completed a project back in November and never actually got paid. They force you to leave a review on the brand's profile but this is way before anything is settled, so seemingly everything is perfect. You are not able to edit your review later on or raise a complaint against the brand in question. It's been 4 months since then and I do not expect to get paid, just want to flag to others so that they don't end up in the same situation.

I really like working with Social Cat

I really like working with Social Cat. There are many opportunities to work with brands. I would like to see more paid deals but it is a great place to get started with UGC. So far their communication is awesome and they have supported me when I had questions. they are great to work with. I hope we can collaborate more.

I was a creator on the platform but… I am no longer and for good reason.

I was a creator on the platform but because I travel a lot there were times I couldn't get the product fast enough and there were brands on there that were very snippy about it and gave me bad reviews which ruined my chances of getting other partnerships. It's interesting because you are essentially doing the brand a favor by creating content for free. On the other hand, there were brands that were very understanding and worked with me and for that I'm appreciative. But those bad apples??.. will ruin the bunch, I tell you. So, I canceled my creator account with them. It was just too much as I'm in school and living abroad for a while. So, I didn't need the added stress for something I'm not even getting paid for. I think some delusional brands think you want to keep their $0-40 product when you have to claim the total value of it on your taxes and pay for it anyway... eventually. For example, I was going to have to pay $40+ dollars to ship a product to me while I was out of the country so it didn't make financial sense BUT since I agreed to do it I was going to try my damnedest to get it done, but instead, the brand gave me a bad review, then archived our partnership in the app so I couldn't give them a review as well. Shame on the platform for allowing that sneaky behavior because she was permitted to badmouth me, but was permitted to block me because she didn't want me to give my honest opinion of my experience. I even gave her the tracking information and she said she couldn't read it because it was in Spanish (just use Google translate, girl) Anyway, beware because some brands will try to treat you like an employee and try to ruin your reputation on the platform pretty quickly. I suggest if you are someone that works a little slower (like me because I have ADHD and am balancing a lot), try to see if the brand is understanding of that kind of thing first and won't hold you to a super hard deadline. Some are grateful for the free exposure, others try to treat you like an employee that owes them something. It's hit or miss.

Do not use Social Cat.

IN THE STRONGEST OF WORDS Do not use Social Cat.

1) The influencers do not create content that's anywhere worthy of more than $5.
2) The influencers are unresponsive and unprofessional.
3) You cannot cancel the trial easily; it took 5 days.
4) I tried to email customer service to unsubscribe, but they are completely unresponsive.
DO NOT use Social Cat, it is a total scam.

Cancel and Refund? NO problem! 10/10 Customer Service

Great experience. Loved the platform but unfortunately I decided to go a different route. While I did the trial, I forgot to cancel the FREE subscription!!!!! I emailed customer support and within hours I got a quick response! I got refunded the full amount. Loved the platform, wasn't for my business needs. But I will definitely use Social Cat when the time is right! 10/10 for the customer support.

Dismissed Safety Concerns and Unethical Review Practices

Social Cat has serious accountability and user safety issues. Escalated harassment concerns were dismissed outright, even when they involved clear violations of the platform’s own terms. Despite strict rules prohibiting off-platform communication, the platform refuses to investigate or take action when those rules are broken in ways that compromise user safety.

Additionally, Social Cat allows creators to leave public reviews before a collaboration has even occurred, which fundamentally undermines the credibility and fairness of its review system and exposes brands to reputational harm without due process.

Customer support demonstrated a lack of empathy, responsibility, and concern for ethical standards. I no longer feel safe or supported using this platform and would highly discourage others—especially brands and professionals—from signing up on this platform.

Great way to find some smaller

Great way to find some smaller, gifted collaborations. It makes it easy to search through available opportunities and it is literally one click to apply. The only constructive criticism that I could give is that it rates you based on your email response time - you have to respond to every email or it affects your communication score. Well every email doesn’t need a response. Some are just a company saying thank you. You could respond back and forth and never end the conversation and say nothing. So this part needs to be tweaked in my opinion. Other than that, it’s been pretty great.

Not worth the effort

The pricing of this service can only be described as "extractive" for the value they are providing. The "influencers" on their platform are largely wannabes without any particular talent or following. I am willing to compensate talented creators generously, but what you get out of Social Cat is an occasional gem in a sea of garbage. And you pay hundreds a month just for the privilege of sifting through the heap.

Wouldn't recommend

I tried social cat as a small custom clothing business for a month and did not renew. Overall my experience was ok, but some of the creators were terrible to work with. So many were unprofessional, didn't read the contract and provided subpar zero-effort content. Some also lied about posting their content days or even weeks before they actually did. Some of the creators on the other hand were wonderful to work with. I just wish Social Cat had a vetting process for the creators they allow on their platform. Their customer service is also not great. I had a creator lie about my product causing a rash because she didn't want to create the agreed upon videos. She even wrote me a scathing review full of lies and Social Cat's team refused to take it down. Overall for the $200 I paid I wouldn't recommend them.

I signed up for the free trial and forgot to cancel before the premium started AND I hadn't used the service at all. I kept trying to log in but it wouldn't work and ended up getting frustrated and emailing them directly. Come to find I typed/registered my email address wrong with one extra letter.

They were quick to respond, provided a refund and offered the free trial whenever I am ready to try their service. Well-handled and great communication.

SocialCat had been the ONLY influencer…

SocialCat had been the ONLY influencer app that has worked for me and actually sent samples! It's very user friendly and the Brands that you connect with are amazing. There's one on one messaging, a nice dashboard to show your stats and even little goals to earn badges. I recommend SicialCat to everyone!!

Very user friendly

It's decent platform and very user friendly allowing you to start finding influencers quickly that match your company. Customer service is friendly and quick to respond to your queries. I went over the trial period and my card was charged, but they were quick to refund me and understanding that it wasn't the right moment for my company, will be back in the near future. Thanks
