Went to Speccy Wren after several years of using a main highstreet optician.
Two best things about it. 1 is that they took a lot of care over getting my glasses exactly right, so unlike the pair I got from the chain opticians they are really comfortable to wear and don't make my eyeballs feel like they're being pulled apart! 2. There was a slight problem with my contact lens prescription and they changed them for me at their own expense. Now that's good customer service.
Also Dave and Marco recognised me and called me by name when I went into the shop, which I think shows really good attention to customers. Speccy Wren is one of the things I'll miss about Brighton now I've moved.
I should also mention that the prices aren't bad either. If you live in Brighton and Hove and need glasses or an eye test I think you would do well to at least check these guys out. They're by the Open Market on London Road.
