FIRST THINGS FIRST. A company that actually answers the phone should be applauded. This is a sign of the times that this is my stand out but it was delightful to get through to someone within a couple of rings who could answer a query I had.*

As a family we’ve only been dabbling in reptiles for a couple of years sticking to easy breeds. We have a great local shop and have avoided online until now. I seen the bargain scorpion kit and thought it would be a good way to try the service.

Ordering was simple, I was nervous it would actually arrive on time and intact. However the day before the scheduled delivery I was receiving tracking data, on delivery day the package arrived by Royal Mail packed incredibly in soft secure wrapping.

The set up was easy following instruction on page(YouTube video). Then to unpack the scorpion who popped out spritely and happy to explore.

* I called as when you order there is a follow up email that asks you to ensure you have selected correct post/packaging criteria. I was slightly concerned I hadn’t, hence calling the store in the morning. The chap explained it was fine and was happy to answer any questions.

A very impressive service which we will definitely use in the future.

I ordered three spiderlings, the set of three spiderling kits, and some other equipment. The spiders arrived healthy and well packaged. The kits are perfect. I'll definitely be ordering more from here once I've got more experience!

Very happy with the service of this company. Had my 2nd order from them today and like the first everything was excellent. My 2 Tarantulas arrived on time today, packaged well for transporting and are healthy, Any questions you may have are answered promptly. Will definitely keep using this store.

I have ordered from the spider from getting my first ever tarantulas and still return all the time for food, equipment, new spiders. The reason im a loyal customer is because the staff are amazing, the quality is amazing and its very rare you have any problems but on the odd occasion you do the lads will sort it out without any fuss at all. They've been nothing but polite and very helpful, and I think their prices are amazing. You know what you're receiving is what you've ordered, no unwanted surprises, unless thats what you've asked for. I do buy from a few other online vendors but and its a bbl kind of but thespidershop.co.uk will always take first place for their info, descriptions of the spiders which are hilarious and very accurate, the quality of not just the spiders but the live food, the youtube demos, all other items I've purchased and last but by no means least the dedication and hard work the staff put in to running the store and always being lovely

I’ve left a review in the past after recently starting to shop here, but now I’ve probably done a couple dozen orders with them and they just never disappoint. They’re so friendly and so eager to help in any way that they can, and even once sent me a freebie on an order I placed for my birthday. I’ve fortunately never needed to use their live arrival guarantee but it’s so reassuring to know that it’s there, and as someone who tends to be a bit of over-emotional when it comes to animals they’ve also been really kind with reassuring me when parcels are running late because of issues with Royal Mail, and once when I unexpectedly urgently hospitalised and the spiders had to sit in the box inside my house for a couple of days (everything was fine, they were well packaged to survive the journey and the extra time in transit / box time). The only issue I’ve ever had is in getting in touch as the phone line tends to be super busy, but that’s kind of a testament to just how popular they are. Since I started using them they’ve become my absolute favourite source by far.

The spider shop have been amazing from start to finish. Slight delays in order due to Royal Mail and parcel force failing to collect purchase but TSS notified me immediately. When I had any questions about my order or the genus I went for they were fast in reply and even helped with enclosure and design recommendations. On day of delivery everything came exactly as planned packed with the animals care in mind. There were 3 boxes in total, one to hold everything packed with packing nuts holding everything secure. The enclosure itself was packed neatly in a box surrounded by styrofoam ensuring it survived the journey. The tarantula was securely packed in a tube, with plenty of ventilation and damp cloth. alongside cork bark, sphagnum moss and other equipment. These were held securely in place with packing peanuts. Overall I would like to say this has been a five star experience, the team at TSS are very friendly, informative and happy to help in any way they can. You can tell they hold themselves to the highest standard this industry has to offer. I will definitely be ordering from them again.

Ordered two spiders along with enclosures (at separate times, and added one to the other for delivery... no issues at all and no extra charge, which i emailed to check and got a very cheery prompt response "Hi Paul, no issues our end! :) "
Items were received on agreed date, I arrived home from work to a very well packaged large box, containing everything we ordered, all also well packed inside the well packaged box...
Set up the terarriums, they look great btw... then went upstairs and put them in the bath ready to release my spiders into their new home. Firstly aphonopelma gabeli. perfect, healthy young juvenile. Secondly, acanthoscurria geniculata, again perfectly healthy, chilled out young spider.
Cant fault the service, delivery and the price was spot on too. Cheers The Spider Shop. Even my little daughter who is (was) scared of spiders loves our new additions. Will definitely be using again very soon!

I was very impressed with this company. I ordered a Ghost Mantis and an acrylic tank which was self assembly along with a fruit fly culture. I was given a clear delivery date, the parcel arrived on 16th July as I was told. There is an youtube video to help you construct the tank. It's very easy to do and is very sturdy. The Little mantis was safely packaged and is very healthy. The tank came with substrate and decor. I would definitely order from this shop again. Very highly recommended.

Ok so I have been buying spiders consistently for a few months know and what can I say the level of service is amazing I had one issue with a sling not making it no fault of the spider shop it's a natural thing that can happen plus royal mail chucked my parcel over the gate as they couldn't be bothered to ring my door bell they replaced my love butt spider instantly no hassle no fuss I even phoned them one day for some info and they were so happy to help im a new keeper in the hobby and I was only going to have one T but but the spider shop made it so easy to deal with I know have 15 of there spiders and I'm not stopping these guys are genuinely decent people and are happy to help no matter if your a veteran or newbie like me I would rate these guys as my number one choice and I refuse to go elsewhere as I'm sure to not get the same level of service in my opinion thanks guys and keep up the amazing work hope to see you all at the next invert show

We’ve placed several orders with these guys and they’ve almost all been smooth and just about perfect.
Twice there were problems.
Once a smaller Tarantula than I ordered when sent.
When I contacted them there was an immediate apology and they sent the correct size out and told us to keep the sling they’d sent by mistake.
The other time they had a problem with their supplier screwing up their arboreal tanks so they couldn’t be put together
Again, straight on the problem, this time putting a tank together before sending and confirming with us afterwards that all was ok.
We are so ordering from them again next time we want equipment and/or beasties.

Ordered from a few other invert shops but this is the one I always come back to. Got my first ever tarantula from these guys! Everything is always well packaged, great communication, and they really do go above and beyond for customers. Had the pleasure of buying a G. pulchripes from them last weekend at the BTS exhibition and was pleased with their customer service there too!

Got my first ever jumping spider and kit from here, and honestly Sam and the team have made this process so easy for me. Super great at getting back with my beginner questions (shout-out to Sam). Definitely will be getting all my future spider needs from them. Thank you!

Awful service, ordered a few T slings and a few other things on the 4th of April and have heard nothing back, it's now the 10th and I've had no reply to my email or a refund. If you don't ship to northern Ireland surely you should have refunded me straight away, not wait almost a week. Shop elsewhere as customer service here is atrocious.

Ordered 9 different spiders from TSS, apart from one being out of stock, they promptly let me know about the situation and offered a replacement in place of the one that was sadly out of stock.

All the spiders turned up this morning, happy, healthy and all in their new homes.

100% will definitely be ordering more from these guys!

AVOID! I recently ordered an Mantis that did not turn up. I sent three emails to express concern and this was over a week ago! And I have had no response! The Mantis did end up arriving but obviously later then expected but whether it was an issue with Royal mail or not, its that fact that I got no response from the shop, very poor customer service or care for the animals they are selling. I get that control is out of your hands when the animals have been despatched but its the fact the shop made no contact or response to my messages.

The Mantis was not in great shape either when it arrived. Avoid the stress and disappointment by avoiding this company. I will be going elsewhere from now on. Customer Service is shocking!

I recently ordered a tarantula from The Spider Shop and my order was initially scheduled to arrive on Wednesday, but due to the cold weather they emailed and mentioned that it would arrive later which shows their concern for the safe arrival of their animals.. I had another tarantula arriving soon and mentioned my need for the equipment I had in my order which without hesitation they shipped the next day to get to me before my other T did. They sent my T out desperately which arrived safely yesterday..
I've ordered previously from the spider shop too last year I got 3 slings which all arrived safely and are all thriving. Before that I also ordered a jumping spider which ended up passing a couple days after arriving and the spider shop sent out another one for me straight away. Thank you spider shop for the great customer service always willing to help with anything I need and always the safe arrival for the spiders I've ordered. 10/10 always the first shop I recommend to anyone
