Has been my go to the entirity of my journey in overcoming my fear of bugs and have always had an awesome and ever changing stock of all types of insects and arachnids, at fair prices and communication has been great every order too. Can't speak highly enough of the whole team ☺️

I have ordered 5 Jumping Spiders from them in total. They have all arrived in good health however when they use Parcel Force the spiders get held up an extra day but that is not down to the Spidershop that is down to Parcel Force. TSS have answered every message I have sent them with questions and queries and they even replaced a broken lid on a enclosure for me. One of my parcels did come with one of the starter enclosures missing but soon as I messaged them to state this they got a replacement sent out with a little goodwill gesture to make up for this fact. I am happy with the their service and wouldn’t hesitate to buy from them again as their prices are very reasonable.

Having recently ordered from The Spider Shop, I found their staff so helpful, efficient and knowledgeable of their livestock be it Scorpions, Tarantulas, True Spiders or so many other bugs and creepy-crawlies or other shelf products. The order was delivered on time and in fantastic condition. Super happy with the whole experience and that my spiders arrive safely.

I became aware of this company through my wife and it's fair to say that I'm very happy with them. Let's break down the various areas to help others who might be looking for recommendations and opinions.

Content - The range of species is considerable but each one is fully described with its own write-up that determined the species' preferences, difficulty level and likely temperament, and suitability to the level of experience. The range covers tarantulas, mantis, and other invertebrates and each species receives the same level of representation which makes choosing a species easy as the choice is based on well-presented facts.

Costs - Along with the wide range of species the range of prices means there s something for everyone.

Sundries - I've set this separately to include food, housing, and anything else related to the hobby, again there is a wide range of products to choose from at a fair price.

Ordering is a simple process with the ability right throughout to make amendments throughout.

Delivery is speedy and can be chosen to accommodate personal choice, I actually ordered a gift for my wife and delayed delivery by a couple of weeks to allow the gift to be received for our anniversary and this was handled without a problem. and, at no extra cost. Delivery is guaranteed before 1 pm delays are possible outside of their control the post is delayed in traffic but this has never been a problem for us I just mentioned it because there will always be someone whose delivery doesn't arrive until just after 1 pm and they will try blaming the company, all post is sent with a tracking number and as such is traceable throughout.

Although I've placed this last it should be the first thing I mentioned and that's communication.

Communication is superb they are always on hand to answer questions and/or advise and are always friendly and polite and a real pleasure to deal with.

As may be gathered from the above my wife and I are now regular customers and plan to continue to be until we finally run out of space.

If you're looking to buy your first spider whether it be a huntsman,jumping or tarantula the spider shop is second to none, wide selection of spiders and some inverts, and if needed they'll give you loads of advice on housing and feeding your new mini monster. Just received my Australian whistling spider, came with a heat pad for keeping it warm,and was well packaged, upon release it headed straight for its hide.

Healthy tarantula, excellent communication.

Received my livestock order today (5 spiders and some roaches). Everything was perfect, spiders were toasty warm and were very well packed with a heat pack, packing peanuts and in their own box inside another well packed box.

Also extra star for well-behaved spiders who casually sauntered off into their burrows rather than bolting or refusing to leave their temporary tissue homes!

I can't rate the Spider Shop highly enough. Will definitely become a "regular".

Definitely my first choice for buying tarantulas and my other beasties, 1st class service and aftercare, caring knowledgeable people you can't go wrong. Easy online service with fast delivery and updates . Excellent all round.

I'm terrified of spiders but I decided its time to man up and to help with my fear I did months or research and decided to order the curly hair tarantula. Now on arrival the package was very secure everything arrived as expected so 10/10 on packaging and delivery. The tarantula is in perfect condition and its not even scary to be honest I'm more scared of the crickets than the tarantula :D The customer support is amazing I asked a lot of questions and the staff responded asap and helped me out So 10/10 amazing company will defiantly be ordering again soon.

I brought two Blue death feigning beetles from here, and the beetles are healthy and arrived very quickly.

Lovely products can't fault that, but when I asked for them to fill in a claims form to claim the postage money back as it took 7 days for me to receive my parcel (with livestock in) because they took it to the wrong depo and just left it there for 3/4 days 🤦‍♀️ he said "they make it nearly impossible". Parcel force were the ones that told me to go ahead and get spider shop to do a claims form done in the first place. £11 pound might not be a lot to some people but to me it is. I was actually going to put the money towards buying another enclosure from them but this put me off, I had to find a cheaper one elsewhere.

Got everything thing I ordered on the date arranged. The curly hair sling is such a joy. Have also ordered the adult tarantula kit. Plus some more tarantulas and enclosures. 5 out of 5. Couldn't ask for more. Wouldn't buy anywhere else.

First time buying from the spider shop, i ordered 4 tarantulas they all came healthy and alive, in a well packed box with a heat pad. I will 100% be going to them again to buy more tarantulas.

I have ordered many species of Slings from here and would highly recommend them.
I now have a new addition to my family a P Pulcher very beautiful and named it Sienna.

my first scorpion order came as agreed , turned up healthy and well ,will definitely be ordering more at some point ,staff was very polite and helpful and i will certainly recommend this company to any one who is interested in exotics . thankyou spider shop

First order from them, arrived on the day chosen, safely packed. My jumping spider settled in right away and the sling I ordered is healthy and active already eating. Very helpful customer service, will definitely be purchasing from them again.

My little friend arrived safe and sound and the spider shop couldnt have been more helpful! Will deffo only buy from here in the future!

I bought some millis from The Spider Shop at an expo (ivory and smokey oaks). I did not realize they were wild caught - there were no signs up stating such.

Shortly after I got home the ivories passed away.
I emailed them and was told it was probably my husbandry - with them blaming the coconut fiber in their substrate mix. They also freely offered to send me replacements which I was grateful for.

I changed things up despite countless breeder websites that I looked up saying coconut fiber is fine.

Well the replacements didn't make it either. I have one hanging on and the others are all gone. I'm gutted again. I emailed them to say hey just so you know it might be worth looking into and I was informed "I still maintain keeping these things on coco fibre is very bad idea".

"These things" are living beings. They are millipedes. The dismissive language for their existence, and unethical practice of using wild caught (especially without labels) is making me leave a poor review.
Wild caughts are renowned for having parasites, even without the ethical dilemma of taking living beings out of their homes.

My oaks have survived so far, and the shop did try to replace the millipedes at first so I am reluctantly providing 2 stars but I will be avoiding this shop from this point forward.

It was a costly mistake not only for myself but also the millipedes I purchased. I know now to look up these things online before buying in person.

Just wanted to put down a buyer beware for those thinking of adding to their family.

I have dealt with the Spidershop on a few occasions now firstly to get my jumping spider and recently to get my first spiderlings set which will arrive arrive next week. I have never dealt with a company so helpful and so passionate about their jobs. I am new to the tarantula world and they have made everything so helpful and easy for me. This will always be my company to go to for any spiders or mantis orders as they are fantastic.
