If you’re reading this it’s because you’re thinking about whether to book this, and from the bottom of my heart I want to tell you to do it. The money I spent over 10 or so years in therapy dwarfs the money you spend on this single weekend, and it will drastically help you see yourself, your life and your choices in a new way. OK, yes, so it looks a bit “woo-woo”, everyone thinks the same going in, but I found it revelatory, transformative, and deeply profound. I also saw 18 men from all walks of life all get something unique and beautiful out of the four days. It is expertly organised and very carefully facilitated. At every point I felt safe while dealing with some very deep topics. I came home more open, more vulnerable, less afraid, and more proud of who I am. Go for it.

The Unmasked Man Level 1 Retreat is an absolute game-changer. I was enveloped in an atmosphere of profound transformation and growth from the moment I arrived. The team crafted an environment where men could explore their vulnerabilities and discover the depths of healthy masculinity. Led by Alexander, Mitch, and a dedicated team of facilitators, this retreat delved into the core of what it means to be a man, guiding us through the archetypes of Lover, Warrior, Magician, and King, while also embracing the spectrum of emotions including Grief, Anger, Fear, and Joy.

The retreat seamlessly blended intellectual discussions, physical activities, and spiritual introspection, providing a holistic approach to self-discovery. Surrounded by a diverse group of men, I found myself in a supportive brotherhood with understanding and growth. Whether you arrive with expectations or an open mind, the experience exceeds all anticipation, leaving an indelible mark on your soul.

I can't stress enough the importance of this work. Absolutely transforming! I am so very grateful for the service I have received, it has honestly improved my life in every single way. I will never forget the experience and will be coming back for more! I had reservations before I arrived and all of that was squashed very soon.... This works and can work for all men! I cannot recommend this enough, so very important work. If you are having issues with your partner, family, friends or colleagues, this work can help you find the courage to look inside yourself and help realise where and what needs to be done, your loved ones will feel this too! As a psychotherapist I am often the one holding a space, listening and reflecting. At The Unmasked Man Level 1: Boy to King weekend I could really step into my own material and work my way through the four archetypes of Lover, Warrior, Magician and King. Beyond the connotations of what that might mean to individuals, I was encouraged to explore the Gateway Emotions of Grief, Anger, Fear and Joy. This was an embodied experience enabled by the facilitation team - Alexander, Mitch, Kieran, Alfie and Dean. There was a mixture of talks, seminars and workshops to look at the intellectual side of things. There was a range of physical experiences to go deeper into the material and listen to what the body had to say. There was also a connection to the divine, a chance for my soul to do some searching and be seen. I felt held but the team, understood and never judged. On top of this, I met some men, all from different walks of life around the UK, who were on a similar path, not in competition, but in brotherhood, to really witness and support each other's growth. I can't recommend this weekend more highly. Go without expectation, or go with a goal in mind. Either way, the process will take over and you will get exactly what you need from it - to the benefit of all around you.

I’m going to keep this simple.
Men-if you are struggling with anything that is holding you back from being your true self then attend these retreats. They will bring out the real you in you.

The work that the Unmasked Man are doing in providing space for men to open up and flourish into their true power is so important in todays stressful existence. The strain of societal, relational and work expectations, can cage us within our thinking mind and not in our centred heart space which is where our truth resides.
The Unmasked Man has given me the tools I needed to not just recognise this, but compassionately bring myself back to a place of grounded stillness within.

I was full of trepidation, I needn't have been the group and the Unmasked Man team were beyond welcoming. I learned so much about myself and the after care from everyone is exceptional. This is wonderful experience that I cannot recommend more highly. Go bite the bullet.

I attended the Level 1 retreat back in July and arrived with some judgement. Did not take long to really feel the power within the group and how safe we all felt being held by the facilitators and the rest of the group. The weekend helped me feel as present as I’ve ever felt which had me signing up for Level 2 as soon as I could.
We have just completed Level 2 which was also held in the utmost of care and integrity. Alexander, Mitch and team stay on our level, never in there a feeling of one being higher than the other. I really respect this process so much that I’ll be following a similar path by signing up to the facilitator training next year. Really cannot recommend these weekends and the further work The Unmasked team offer.

The unmasked man changed my life and i am super grateful for them.
I went through the workshops they put on with so much care and attention and to came out much more in touch with my sense of self, more confident and more purpose driven than ever.

I was a bit reluctant to do this but wanted to find a retreat with authentic men willing to talk about real stuff not just things, sport and actions. This exceeded my expectations by a long way. Men from all backgrounds and ages in only a few days went deep into our thoughts and feelings and bonded to be friends for life. Quite extraordinary. A long long way from corporate life and a joy to be part of. Alexander, Mitch and the team created a safe and supportive environment to go where I have never gone before. Fabulous and unforgettable.

What an absolutely phenomenal experience!! Every man should experience something like this. I honestly feel like I left a different person. I didn't know fully what to expect going into the retreat but it surpassed anything I thought possible. To have such incredible brothers and be alongside such supportive men truly was a privilege I will never forget. Thank you Alexander, Mitch, and the entire Unmasked Man Team.

Wow, where to begin. I went in to the process with no expectations (this is the best thing to do). The process was incredibly well thought out, perfectly balanced and totally universal regardless of what you want to accomplish or focus on. I will walk away with life long friends. I have never done something I would recommend to this degree.

A life changing experience, one that is priceless! I have waited a few weeks to write this review. I still feel more connected to myself and my loved ones. I feel like a better partner, friend and son. Therefore, i believe those who are close to me have also benefited from the transformational experience these men besode upon me. I an truely grateful, and also inspired to better myself and help others. I highly recommend this to experience and i look forward to level 2!

Wow! What a beautiful few days with the unmasked man team and a bunch of willing men ready to take the next step in their growth journey! I was very skeptical coming into this, my inner guidance told me to take the leap, and I'm so thankful I did, these few days were truly transformation and exceeded all expectations by a long shot! The amazing accepting energy by all the team, to be comfortable being vulnerable without any judgement is really something, I highly recommend this to anyone who is on the fence and feels called to take the next step In becoming the best version of themselves! Big thanks to Alex and Mitch for all their hard work, big thanks to Josh, Kieran and Roberto for their support and wisdom, and big thanks to Brandon and Kie the kitchen kings for the amazing food for the duration of the stay, feeling truly grateful to have been a part of this amazing family of men on the same journey!

This was an exceptional, powerful and deeply moving experience. Alexander and Mitchell have crafted a beautiful, four day journey through the 4 archetypes, weaving teaching, ceremony, music, powerful processes, breath work, ice baths and lovely food - all with a sense of deep love and acceptance for whoever walks through the door of the retreat. And with whatever they are bringing.

What I loved is the sense of play that appeared among the solemnity - never taking itself too seriously, yet doing the serious stuff so expertly. They have created something truly wonderful.

For most of my teenage/adult life I have found myself in a dark, scary and lonely place, in desperate need of genuine connection, support, love and connection. On the surface, I had everything under control: family, friends a good job and not too much to worry about. In the meantime, inside I was dying. Mistakes and traumas from the past kept affecting my present and most likely would have been affected my future life too. I simply had enough of waking up feeling like another person was living my life. Too busy keeping up with this act I created for myself, I completely disconneted emotionally from the world around me. In result, all I could do was hurting myself and the people around me. I had to do something.

Six months ago I stumbled into the Unmasked Man. Since then, I've already attended two of their amazing retreats with a third one to come in a few months. To say I've found what I was looking for is an understatement. Alexander, Mitchell, Josh, Roberto, Kieran and all the rest of the team, all the way to the chefs (our beloved kitchen Kings) are the most compassionate, understanding and inspiring people I've ever met in my life. As a matter of fact, I've never met anyone quite like them.

I've never been a spiritual person to begin with, and I've got to admit that I was a bit skeptical about the possible outcome before going to my first retreat...oh boy how wrong I was ! This amazing human beings litterally turned my life around. I've managed to experience a true brotherhood, a loving, non-judgemental and supportive environment that made me feel safe and cared for in a way I've never experienced before.

I managed to dig deep into my past, down to those scary, traumatic memories and feelings I wouldn't dare even get close to before. With their incredible support I have faced, processed and eventually overcame so much s*** that no longer plays a crucial part In my life.

Although my personal journey is far from over (as Alexander always says "men's work isn't for Christmas, is for life "), I can certainly say that my life can be divided in a pre and post unmasked man journey. I feel lighter, more able to connect with the people I love in my life, and not so scared to meet new people too.

I know some of you may feel this isn't for you, that retreats aren't for real men, that you are too old, or too young, that it's a waste of time and that it won't make any difference in your life...I found myself thinking it too at some point! All I can say is that if you you look at your life and you feel you want more from it in terms of genuine humans connections and relationships, if you are tired of meeting your friends at the pub talking only about football and superficial things while deep down you would like to scream your sadness, anger, pain, if you keep saying you are alright even though you are not, if you feel you are not good enough, or you cannot express your feelings the way you want, or if more in general despite everything you have in your life you feel that something it isn't right with it, then you should get in touch with the Unmasked Man.

Giving these guys a shot is hands down the best decision I've ever made in my entire life, I am looking forward to continue my journey with them.

I have attended the retreat in May 2023 and it was truly one of the best experiences of my life.
Alexander Cottle and Mitch Campbell are unique and very bright men.
I came with an open heart and was totally blown away. The quality of this retreat is like nothing else I have experienced or been a part of. I was able to work on deep parts of my life/past/present in a safe environment with other men. Now, i feel joy of being true to myself.
Coming away from this I believe EVERY man should attend UNMASKED MEN.
