It is a *frequent* occurrence that I receive meals with containers that are not fully closed. The food is disgustingly spilled throughout the delivery box onto all the other meals as well. This is a health hazard. Additionally, food is shipped with too little ice, traveling for 3 days this way. This is also a health hazard. I'm been ordering two meal plans per week for about 6 months, but after once again receiving a box with a spilled meal, I'm cancelling.

Finally, I have found a meal service that has amazing food. I have tried them all these past 3 years. I am SO happy my husband and I decided to try one last company. We are very glad we did!!. We love the flavors that we don’t usually use. I absolutely love the creativity of the meals. The meals are so beautiful! Although we are not vegan we really wanted meals that were grain based and vegetarian so that we could easily poach some salmon or broil a piece of fish to add if wanted to. Many times we enjoy the meals as they are. Also, I’m not usually a desert person, but their deserts are delicious!!

Thistle has been an awesome experience for me! I've been with them for nearly three months (and through one big move) after tiring of Factor's horrendous service and Blue Apron's unhealthy pre-made meals.

I'm SO happy with Thistle's customer service, first and foremost, and also the food and delivery experiences I've had.

Ordered it 3 times the only order that showed up was the first one. No delivery two times, waste of time and angst. Customer service replied 2 days later and offered a refund and assured that the future order would be delivered no delivery again. Who runs a business like this absolute rubbish. Order at your own peril.

Unfortunately ill have to stop service with them. Food that comes is excellent but from day 1 I have had nothing but deliveries not showing up, meals missing, meals being wrong, delivery drivers refusing to take the coolers & plastic containers for their recycle program etc. Always met with a credit to my account for the next week. I am on week 5 and every week there is 1 or all of the issues above. It's just not reliable, it was supposed to help eleviate stress for meal planning with my schedule & since it's constantly a bargain if it will show up when it's supposed to, well Its caused more anxiety. For the price point its not worth it. Sadly I enjoy the food & it was helping me become & feel healthier but cannot support a company who cant get their quality assistance & drivers in order. again this has been every week since day 1. Thats not mistakes thats legit employees or third parties negating their jobs. Tonight was the last straw nothing showed up & no texts telling me of delays etc.

The meals that I receive are tasty and easy to prepare but I’m not receiving the meals that I order! The problem is that for FIVE weeks straight I have ordered 4 meals for the week and only ONE came packaged in the bag. Each week that passed with an error was corrected with a credit to my account for the missing meals; however, the errors kept happening and I would not have any food for the week. I understand that this type of mistake may happen but not FIVE CONSECUTIVE WEEKS! I will sadly need to find a new food delivery service since they can’t seem to fix the problem and I can’t eat credits to my account. Is this happening to anyone else?

New customer starting February 2024. I reside in the NYC/CT metro area. I ordered lunches, snacks, and dinners for M-Thursday. I was impressed with the quality and taste of offerings. In the six weeks that I was a member before cancelling, I only received two deliveries that were correct. The others had item(s) missing, some total no shows. The customer service was good at responding back with apologies and refunds on missing items and some delivery charges. They would deliver to my area on Sundays in the 6p-10p range and most would arrive on the later end. The convenience they offer became an annoyance on Sundays to take the time to itemize everything and relay back to customer service with their errors, I’ve just cancelled my service. It’s a shame because I loved the food but the company has a long way to go before they can offer an overall excellent service and customer experience. My advice, spend more money and time on hiring competent packing, shipping and delivery/logistics staff. Have bags checked, double and triple checked before leaving kitchen facility.

Love, love, love this food. It’s super expensive, but we stretch it out. I love that we have virtually no wasted food at the end of the week like we’d normally have with traditional grocery shopping.

I have had issues with delivery, like items being in their sides so the dressings pop open, but customer service credited me immediately for the damaged items and flagged the account for extra care.

Thistle is great for vegans. Their quality is very good and consistent. I love their delivery of fresh food. It is so important for me.

I hate to admit it, but I LOVE this service. The food is so fresh and tasty and surprisingly filling. I get vegan lunch and dinner 5d/wk. I only planned to do it for a few months, mainly to gather ideas about how I might better make plant-based meals on my own. I'm sure I could cook up and freeze batches of grains and roast veg, use canned beans, keep baby greens on hand, etc - and have a lot of the basic components ready to assemble. But the key is the delicious sauces, and also various plant protein concoctions. There's just no way I could freshly prepare these with all the flavorful variety. I'm kind of at the limit of my food budget, but I've justified continuing because my diet is so healthy and delicious now (and SO freaking convenient!!); left to my own devices it would surely devolve.

Maybe it depends on where you live, but I've had NO issues with delivery. The couple times it was delayed a day (holiday, ice storm) I got ample notice about the change. In 6 months of using this service, I've received a mistaken item only once. I was credited within hours of reporting it, and got a fulsome apology.

And yes, over time, you will see familiar meals cycle through. And yet, cooking for yourself, there's no way you'd create as much variety. I still hold out some vague hope of one day finding the secret for feeding myself this way, but in the meanwhile I'm thrilled Thistle is here for me.

I have just gone through my first full day of meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack. Each af the meals was super tasty. I made a switch from eating meat, to a plant based way of eating and quite frankly after three days of cooking for myself I was relieved to find such a great PREPARED meal plan. I would never be able to achieve this level of variety on my own and am excited on how this will positively affect my gut biome. I also am glad that I am no longer contributing to the damage that mass animal farming is doing to our environment. I have seen comments about the expense. If you consider time saved and quality and variety of the ingredients, I think it is a pretty good deal. I may at some point start making breakfast, but for now, Thistle is making the transition from eating out a lot and eating meat to a completely plant based meal plan totally seamless and worry free.

Multiple missed deliveries - a message saying it will be rescheduled only to have the delivery man call at 11pm saying it’s delivered, no notification that it will be delivered and had me waiting up until 10:30pm, showing it’s delivered when it’s not.

Today they charged me more than my regular weekly price even after a $10 credit. There was no communication about the increased in fees.

At this point, I’m going to be looking at other options and bouncing once I find one.

Thistle has been life-changing. We eat WAY more vegetables, save a ton of time on food shopping and prep, waste far less food, and our cholesterol even is lower.

The folks on here complaining about lack of variety, plastic packaging, and delivery timing have little familiarity with the reality of running a business like this. I personally think Thistle does an excellent job of managing variety, they use reusable delivery bags, and they make a big effort to communicate delivery times and any upcoming delivery days that fall on holidays. Yes, each of the meals comes in plastic, but this is recyclable and people often do not realize that alternate materials that are heavier than plastic will require far more fuel to transport, and will also contribute to more food spoilage and waste if they are less secure. I've tried lots of meal services and Thistle is the best both in meal quality and in the supply chain and packaging tradeoff decisions they have to make.

I’m getting my vegetables in and my healthy grains and nuts and all the good stuff. I’ve noticed a distinctive increase in energy eating a plant-forward diet. I’m not 100% plant-based. I eat meats on weekends etc. and I do dairy. I’ve heard this and it’s true that sometimes it’s nice to doctor up the meals a bit to fit my tastes for the day. Maybe I’ll add a little cheese or a little butter or a little cream or a little of this or a little that. I choose the meals and foods that interest me and that I like and have built up a repertoire of favorites. I’ve seen reviews where people complain about delivery problems. I’ve only had two delivery experiences that weren’t ideal in several months. They always respond immediately, graciously and helpfully to any email or query that I send them. They immediately refunded my money in both cases no questions asked. Actually, in the earlier case, they may have given me credit, which was fine with me. Anyway, it’s a really great company in every way, and I think you’re going to enjoy it. For me it has taken a little finessing and experimenting to find my style of using it, and I’m always changing things up and trying new strategies, but it’s worth the effort! I love it!

We do four to six Thistle meals a week, and it's convenient and healthy. Meals are a bit pricey, but most taste great and provide a nice change from our usual bland meals. One suggestion is to email on Wednesday about making any delivery changes. Sometimes I forget and I get too many meals delivered Monday morning. Other than those minor annoyances, it's been great.

Their food is decent, the healthiest you will find anywhere, and they have great customer service, which honestly is why I've stuck with them.

I mainly used it for (salad) lunches. I usually add a protein supplement to it (tofu, tempeh, lupini beans, etc.) to increase intake which is downside. Some packaging gets messy at times, but not end of the world. I wish packaging was more sustainable. Some good variety.

It's been almost 3 years since my daughter discovered this place, which is great, all the meals are very flavorful, beautiful colors and very healthy, thanks to everyone who works there for making our lives easier!!

I love the Nutritional Meals you plan for me. I don't have to worry about preparing meals when I have Thistle.
