An absolute waste of money and precious time
The review highlights:
• False promises and misleading sales tactics regarding ROI and course outcomes.
• Over-reliance on Instagram strategies that proved ineffective and time-consuming.
• Lack of meaningful progress despite significant effort and time invested.
• Switched to LinkedIn strategy but provided no adequate training or documentation.
• Course duration mismanagement and refusal to honour agreed timelines.
• Attempted extortion to silence negative feedback in exchange for minimal extensions.
• Overall experience: A waste of €5000, time, and trust, with no tangible results.
I enrolled in Thorsten Kreutz's ‘Digital Business Startup’ course after attending one of their promotional events. During the sales call, the representative made several promises that ultimately proved false, including the assurance of a return on investment (ROI) within the first three months, as prominently advertised on their website.
Thorsten Kreutz's strategy heavily revolves around Instagram. The course consists of a series of training videos that guide you through creating logos, posts, and building a brand. However, the core tactic, spending countless hours following others in hopes of gaining followers in return proved ineffective and frustrating. Many other participants echoed similar concerns during group calls, highlighting widespread dissatisfaction.
After a month of dedicating significant time and effort to creating high-quality posts and growing my Instagram account, I saw almost no progress in follower growth. Instead of offering actionable solutions, Thorsten Kreutz advised me to take a break. During this break, I continued working on my account but eventually concluded that their method simply didn’t work. At this point, I requested a refund.
They agreed to a partial refund, deducting administrative costs, sales commissions, and the fee for the first month of the course. They also offered an alternative: restarting the course with a new four-month plan and a revised strategy focused on LinkedIn instead of Instagram. Against the advice of friends and family, I decided to give them another chance.
I invested even more time and effort into redesigning my brand from scratch, only to find that the promised LinkedIn-focused training and support were virtually non-existent. The primary advice was to purchase LinkedIn Premium and Sales Navigator, but there was no detailed guidance, documentation, or videos to support this strategy. Worse still, when I requested a progress plan, I discovered that my course end date had been incorrectly set for just 2.5 months after my restart, despite their promise of four months. Despite having video evidence of our agreement, they refused to adjust the timeline.
The final month of the course was spent trying to resolve this issue. My restart date was July 3rd, so the course should have ended on October 2nd. However, they had recorded it as August 12th. After escalating the matter, they offered a "goodwill" extension of four weeks, but only if I signed a document agreeing not to post any online reviews. This felt like extortion, and I refused to be silenced.
In the end, I wasted over €5000, countless hours, and a significant amount of energy, only to feel completely betrayed by Thorsten Kreutz. Their claims of prioritizing customers and addressing their needs could not be further from the truth.
All this can be proven with recorded videos, emails and documents.
Since they seem to bully customers into not submitting a negative review, I would not believe any of the positive ones. In general, I would advise to avoid entering into any contract with Thorsten Kreutz.
