Thurrock Garden Centre is a fantastic garden centre with everything you require and Woody’s restaurant is second to none,the quality of food is excellent and everything you could wish for is on the menu.I went there today 2/07/26 and had a ploughman’s and it was ten times better than Summerhill Nursery or Alton’s Garden Centre and the waitressing staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough to help us.Well Done & Thank You.I will definitely be going back there.

I would just like to say a BIG Thankyou to the Centre for a few months we have had a voucher for 2 for 1 Lunches and has helped us Pensioners out so much and feel it was very fitting to say that someone out there cares and I am very grateful to you .The Restaurant Ladies always so helpful and happy . Once again Many Thanks .

Visited woodys cafe today whilst the staff are all very pleasant food is good but has got sooooo very pricey visited last week (9/7/24) all 3 of us had scampi £10.95 visited today (18/7/24) now £12.99 shocking raise in price they’re so expensive for everything coffee is dearer than anywhere else even m&s!!! Can’t fault their plants etc but will definitely think before I eat there again

Well appointed garden centre. Staff are excellent. Very knowledgeable, helpful and will go out of their way to get what you need. Best garden centre in Thurrock.

Disappointing experience, we won't be returning. The security alarm has activated on both visits we made to the garden centre this month, caused by old technology not working as it should. The supervisor believes she can MAKE customers return to the store if the alarm goes off (the legal position is that “reasonable grounds” to suspect shoplifting is required, the alarm sounding does not constitute reasonable grounds). She also came across to us as patronising, uncaring and sarcastic.

After escalating the matter on email to management and asking if they believe they have a staff training issue we received the reply “No I don’t… I believe our procedure was carried out correctly.”. So if training and procedures are not going to change this will happen again and again. We followed up with further questions and received a one line reply “Thank you for your further comments. With kind regards” with no answers. Looking at other reviews online we can see this is a common theme regarding management, suggesting the uncaring approach permeates from the top. Other garden centres are doing better and care more; they deserve customer loyalty much more than this garden centre.
