Thy Will Be Done arranged a Will Property Trust 9 years ago.
A week after their agent came to the house we decided to cancel this Will Trust because we were not sure about it. We were told it was not possible ! We thought the 14 days 'cooling off'
period would allow this but were told 'No'.

We have just found out there is a tax liability on these trusts every 10 years which could amount to a lot of money. We were not told about this at the time!

We are now in the process of terminating this trust, with a a solicitor, which is proving very expensive but it will be worth it for us to disassociate with They Will Be Done completely and have peace of mind that no other shocks will happen in the future for us or our family.

We would suggest you go elsewhere for your Trust Planning.

Our wills were littered with errors. Thy Will Be Done drafted our wills. The biggest flag that should have stopped us moving forward was when they put themselves as our executors. I told them twice not to do so but they kept 'forgetting'. We later found out as the executor they would have charged over 2% to our estate for the privilege of being our executor. They did not tell us this. Yesterday (11/06) we took the draft to the Notary in Barcelona. They pointed our the vast, vast majority of wills in Spain do not have an executor. They also said the will had been written in English and then translated to Spanish so there were many grammatical errors, for example our address in Spain was incorrect and they did not note our UK address. The Notary we used in Barcelona offer a full Spanish will writing service for 70 Euro's. Please check they are not your executors. Your beneficiaries will be the one people that loose part of their inheritance.

I would like to add a few points post their reply:
I had to ask the person we were dealing with several times to remove them as executor before they did so. As a way of explaining this - IF THEY HAD MANAGED TO MAINTAIN THEMSELVES AS EXECUTORS - ON MY DEATH, MY ESTATE WOULD HAVE HAD TO PAY THEM OVER 60,000 EUROS. There was a big scandal in the UK about this kind of thing, years ago. I suspect many/most of their clients will not know how much money they will take from their estate on their death. PLEASE NOTE -SPANISH ABGODO/LAWYER WOULD NOT CHARGE US 120,000 EUROS FOR THEIR SERVICE. IT IS SIMPLY UNTRUE. MOST OF THEM WILL CHARGE 1% OR BY THE HOUR (NOT THE 1.75% +IVA THYWILLBEDONE CHARGE). YOU CAN SIMPLY GOOGLE THE AVERAGE CHARGE.

The UK director confirmed he would reimburse me if the will was materially different to what they did. He confirms above it was different, yet they did not reimburse me.

I took ages to get everything signed, and made a couple of changes to what I'd originally decided, but the personnel at Thy Will Be Done were patient and gave clear instructions when asked, which I really appreciated. I feel more confident about future financial decisions now.

TWBD are a great company if you need help in sorting out your will(s). They guided me through the process with integrity, honesty and true professionalism. Will writing can be a bit of a minefield if you are not sure what is and isn't legally valid(especially if you have assets in another country so my advise would be to leave it to the professionals. Their rates are quite reasonable so it's not going to cost you an "arm & a leg" to get it done right.

I had a meeting with Paul Blackmore in his private office and he explained everything to me about making my will and all the different options that were available and what they could do for me. He was very approachable, friendly and professional . I outlined my wishes and was told that there would be approximately a 10 day wait while the initial will was produced , in fact it was ready in a few days and sent to me by email to check. There were some minor alterations and clarification of various issues all carried out professional and competently. I was then given an appointment with Debbie the legal representative to complete and sign the will , she was very patient and explained everything to me and put my mind at rest. Full marks to Thy Will Be Done a top team.

I was able to make an appointment to talk to Mr Blackmore within a couple of days. He explained how they work and I gave him details of my wishes. Everything was completed very quickly despite being told it would take up to 10 days. I made changes which were no problem and I had a query about discretionary trusts for which they sent me a link to an explanatory leaflet. I was completely satisfied with the prompt service I received.

Everything was made very easy and very reasonably priced. The staff were great. Very friendly and helpful. It has taken a great deal off our mind for our beneficiaries.

I have purchased a will and had no problem with the company. They explain everything in simple language and guided me through the whole process. Excellent service
