Save your money.
I was getting laid off in December so had to get a new job but they wouldn’t grant my hol request for an event.
They declined my application. I don’t think they have any intention on paying out.
I can see why all the one star reviews.

Don't bother paying extra for this when you buy tickets for things.. They reject unless you have loads of supporting evidence.
Do not waste your money on this!

Booked the Drifters at Warwick Arts Centre
I got sick with a virus (covid type symptoms) and my friends mum was very poorly in hospital. We had paid tickets protection and when I spoke to them online she said I should get proof from a doctor. I said I can't take an appointment up with a virus!
She said contact 111 and get a copy of the transcript. I said but that's wasting NHS resources. No help. I said ok I guess I'm going to the concert with a virus. She replied "Ok, anything else I can help you with"
Absolutely disgusting attitude.
Thankfully my comment was sarcasm and I chose not to spread my germs. Had to find someone to go in my place. But I am out of pocket as didn't ask them for the money. So total waste of time and money taking out the protection and will never do it again.
Do NOT purchase
This is the website reimbursement request site for Secure Refunds - total scam.
Amazing quick refund for theatre…
Amazing quick refund for theatre tickets that we could not attend due to ill health.
Full refund within the week!
Secure Refunds - brilliant customer service from Angela
My friend had developed a medical problem & only admitted to me a week before the opera - at the Empire Liverpool - that he didn’t feel able to attend. I rang the ‘Secure Refunds’ telephone helpline, & was immediately sent an e mail asking me to forward the original e mail ticket showing my purchase with proof I’d (thankfully) taken out ticket refund protection on. Also to attach any anonymised medical proof of my friend’s ongoing medical problem. I was given advice on how to take photos of the e mails & Hosp letter & how to send said attachment's for the refund. I received an immediate acknowledgement of receipt, went on line two days later to establish progress & chose to chat to a member of customer services. Angela started the chat conversation with me, looked into my case & after a few more questions which needed further info, Angela confirmed the refund request had been allowed & would be paid into my bank account shortly. Throughout the chat Angela was efficient & provided excellent customer service making the whole process simple and successful in a very short space of time.
I still dont see my refund from fonesgo

No intention to pay out to anyone!
Very poor service from clearly dodgy company.
After having an operation and unable to physically get in a car to attend the event we had booked, ticket refunds claimed there was some information missing from the original ticket and it was clear they have no intention of paying out even though have supplied all
Information and hospital letters and discharge forms as proof…..
This company is also based in Gibraltar so probably easy for them to get out of all claims without any penalty for them…..
Let’s all stop paying for their service and with any luck they’ll go out of business and stop conning people…..
Doctor sign off
Can’t go the theatre because I have a heavy cold. Can’t claim a refund because I haven’t consulted a doctor and got them to sign a form. Really? Do they know how hard it is to see a doctor even if you have something really seriously wrong? I’m not well enough to travel, or sit for 3 hours in a theatre (infecting everyone) but I’m not dying!
I am disappointed not to be able to attend and even more so that I can’t get a refund!
Avoid - Discriminatory
Just had the start of treatment for a testicular tumour, apparently a letter for surgery isnt good enough as I might have recovered within two days. A complaint has now been filed in Gibraltar and with the EHRC
Brilliant
Brilliant ! Couldn't attend Pantomime due to child having chicken pox. Helpful Staff via chat , uploaded all the relevant information. No issues whatsoever . Will definitely use again in future .
This insurance is a scam
This insurance is a scam. I was unable to take my pre-schooler to a performance of Aladdin at the Hackney Empire last week because we had a temperature and wasn't well. The next day he bounced back, as toddlers do, and went to nursery. Because I didn't call 111, the GP or keep him off nursery the next day they are refusing a refund.
Rubbish
Rubbish! Not worth paying for, and certainly not 'insurance' as most reasonable people would expect. I had terrible conjunctivitis on the day of the concert. I had been to the pharmacist a few days before, in the hope that treatment would work in time. It didn't. I rang ticket refund and was told that I needed nhs evidence that I was unwell on the day of the performance, so I went to see the practice nurse who issued me a statement evidencing that I had seen the pharmacist a few days before and also sought more treatment a couple of days after. I sent this over but they still won't accept it as sufficient evidence. They want me to go back to my gp!!!! I am happy with the treatment I am getting from the NHS but totally embarrassed that I'm expected, by a private company, to visit again (also take time off work). Like I said. Rubbish. Martin Lewis here I come
A friend in need is a friend indeed.
I am writing this review with a wry smile on my face.
3 good friends went to see a show last Tuesday and on route (around the corner in Covent Garden about 40mins before the show) our friend slipped off the edge of a curb and fell. As a qualified nurse it was quickly apparent she had hurt herself and an ambulance was called.
I quickly filled out the forms for a refund hoping to do it before the show started (didn’t realised it didn’t matter) whilst awaiting the ambulance.
Subsequently our friend was taken to St Thomas’s A and E. after a few hours of tests she was told she had broken her hip and needed surgery. She had the surgery 2 days later.
So, they reply to the emails quite efficiently and i submitted medical evidence. They can’t deal with that as news the main ticket holder. As we are an hour and half by train to London I visited 2 days ago and we submitted all the information they needed.
Guess what the reply has been!! Our friend is covered but myself and our other friend aren’t!!!! We were supposed to leave our friend on the floor while she waited for the ambulance and then say ‘Cheerio, see you after the show’. Who in their right mind would think 2 close friends would do that to another friend!!! Of course we stayed with her all the way until she was admitted to the ward and her son got there.
So moral of the story, don’t have morals or care amongst family and friends and remember it’s only your ticket and NOT the group that is covered.
Don't bother to use this refund service.
It's pretty clear that they are going to use every reason not to pay. Why would you not go to the event that you have paid good money to go to with out having a perfectly sound reason or a few in our case.
Don't bother to pay it's just not worth the trouble when you try claim a refund.
Don't waste your money!
Don't waste your money on getting this ticket protection; they have every siutation covered so they dont have to pay out.
Con insurance, not worth it!
People pay for this insurance for unexpected events. They demand a signed letter from a Dr for sickness. So, you go to the Dr, get prescribed antibiotics, not better. The nurse prescribes other meds. Unable to attend event - they now want me to book another GP app’t to get a letter signed to say I was sick. The NHS is overwhelmed! I can get my recent history of appointments but that’s not good enough. Not worth it
BEWARE OF BEING SCAMMED
BEWARE OF BEING SCAMMED! We bought 5 tickets to go and see “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” on the 4th of April. We took out their ticket refund insurance in good faith as we have 3 young children and know from experience that they often get sick at the end of term. Of course the weekend before our trip we get Norovirus and can’t travel, but “ticket refunds” refuse to refund our tickets. They clearly have a track record of not paying out for claims. They are based in Gibraltar as well so don’t expect to be protected by UK consumer rights act 2015. Wish I had read Trust Pilot reviews before buying. DO NOT BUY THEIR INSURANCE!!!
Con artists without much sense
I booked tickets in November 2022 for The King and I as a gift for my mum. We are due to go this Thursday but sadly my dad who was diagnosed with terminal cancer March 2022 has taken a turn and requires us to care for him.
I contacted these con artists about it and even sent his RESPECT form. They put my claim on hold wanting a more up to date document. This is very upsetting with what is going on. I explained there won’t be anything until the time he dies which they said they would wait (can’t put a time limit on how long someone has left even with a terminal diagnosis). We saw the palliative care nurse today who kindly emailed me a headed letter detailing the prognosis etc with todays date. They still won’t accept it because it’s not in a PDF format. They sent some stupid form for a GP to sign which would cost £60 for a GP to do this (the tickets were £66).
They really are a disgrace of a company and I’m now being forced to try and do a charge back on my card.
