I've been a loyal TJ O'Mahony customer…

I've been a loyal TJ O'Mahony customer for many years, and overall I really like the company. The products are good, prices are competitive, and most of the staff I've dealt with have been excellent.
Since I changed address, my account was transferred from the Dublin branch, where the service was outstanding, to the Naas branch. Unfortunately, my experience there has been very different. One member of staff, consistently fails to manage orders properly. Almost every order requires me to chase it up. He often isn't even aware that an online order has been placed until I call asking for a delivery update.
This time I decided not to remind anyone and simply waited. It's now been over a week, and I haven't received any communication at all, no delivery update, no notification of delays or missing items, just complete silence. I'm curious to see how long it will take before someone notices the order.
Despite this, I still think TJ O'Mahony is a great builders' merchant with fantastic people. My experience suggests that this is the exception rather than the rule, but unfortunately one poor experience repeated often enough can overshadow an otherwise excellent company.

We would like to sincerely apologise for the delay with your recent order and for the frustration this has caused. Our main delivery truck driver has been on annual leave since Monday 13th, and whilst we worked to secure a temporary driver—who started yesterday—our deliveries for bulk tonne bags fell a couple of days behind schedule.

While our team made every effort to telephone customers affected by these delays, we deeply regret that your order slipped through the net on this occasion. Communication is paramount to us, and we fully acknowledge that we should have kept you informed sooner.

I believe Dave from the branch has now been in contact with you directly, and your delivery is scheduled to go out tomorrow. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we clear this temporary backlog, and we look forward to restoring your confidence TJ O'Mahony moving forward.

Terrible

Terrible - I never got the item although TJ O'Mahony had over 100 euro of my money; they didn't reply to my numerous emails asking for a rough delivery date and written at weekly intervals over the course of a month, and then I finally got a reply through Trustpilot when I gave a poor review. They finally refunded me without any apology or even acknowledgement that they had done so - the only way I knew was through seeing the refund on my bank statement. It was particularly irksome as the item was exterior paint for my house and the time I took off work for painting it was wasted.

I ordered a large amount builders stone…

I ordered a large amount builders stone & sleepers, the delivery was tight and I can’t express enough how helpful the driver was, he persisted to get the truck into the driveway and then to place the large items leaving room for parking. I am so greatful for his attention to detail , as it was a tricky delivery.
the quality of all items are as perfectly described,. I am delighted alround with the whole experience.
