I bought a car over the phone from Mindy. He was helpful and polite and gave me all the information I needed. I agreed a price with him over the phone and wanted to give him a deposit. He said it was not necessary as we had an agreement. I am a distance sale so told him I would book my flight and get a train to his dealership early next week. He said that was fine he would take car off sale and reserve it for my arrival.
6 Hours later I get an abrupt email to say he had just sold the car to another customer. This is after I booked flights and train. I called 12 times and my call was avoided. Eventually it was answered and the guy I spoke to Thomas had no interest, just tough luck.
I think I had a lucky escape as if this is what these characters do before you collect a car imagine what they would be like if something went wrong.
