The experience at the centre was not…

The experience at the centre was not what I had expected. At first, everything was going well, my 3 children were attending the classes, and things looked okay. However, I had been receiving complaints from my children about a particular teacher who kept "joking" with them. At the time, I did think it was strange, but I put it down to the teacher keeping the class lively. To my disappointment, I later found out that the teacher was actually bullying my children during lessons and disguising it as a "joke"; he would complain that they spoke in class, but he would be the one instigating it. I recently attended "parents' evening" with that particular teacher, whom I explained to that the goal for my 11-year-old was to reach Oxford University in the future, and I would love to see him progress smoothly through secondary school with their tuition centre. He then used this statement to taunt my child during lessons, in front of the other children, telling him, "He will not go to Oxford Uni." He persisted each week and at one time told the class, "You are all dumb, this is why you come here". I was distraught and spoke to him, sent him text messages about my disappointment, and gave him a chance to fix this issue, but to no avail. My 7-year-old daughter failed to answer a question correctly, and another child laughed at her for it. Instead of the teacher correcting this and helping her, he joined in and laughed at my daughter, saying that he could not believe she did not know. Thereafter, she refused to go, feeling intense shame and fright. I have saved the messages I sent to the teacher at the institute and will report them to the council. Unfortunately, the other teachers are good, but due to this teacher who is in charge, this institute cannot be trusted with minors.
They had been attending since Feb 2025.
